Chapter 31 - Rule Hell or Not
Recap:
I heard the office door open without the person knocking first. I knew I had locked the door when I came in, but whoever this was had a key. I magically dressed Makenzie and myself. Yeah, no one was going to see my mate naked. I stepped out of the bathroom and immediately put Makenzie behind me.
The fuck?
“Who the fuck are you?” A man asked as he sat down in my chair.
“I’m Alpha Griffith. You need to get out of my office.” I gestured for him to get up, but he only smiled at me as he looked me in my eyes, a challenge to any Alpha.
“I’m Jim, Alpha Erol’s brother. One who is next in line to take over the pack, since my brother didn’t want it. So, you’re in my office and you need to go back to whatever hell you crawled out of. You can leave my mate with me,” he answered, pointing at Makenzie as, supposedly, being his mate.
Makenzie snorted. “I’m not your anything. We’ve completed the mating ritual and are very much each other’s mate.”
“Micah, I need you in my office as fast as you can. We have an intruder, one who’s in my office.”
“You will be mine as soon as I defeat him. I will take you then. You do not have a choice. I-”
“-You will not have my mate or my pack. You’re as sick as your other brothers, well, except for Micah,” I cut in on his lies as my sister’s teleported Micah into my office.
“What the fuck are you doing here? You were banished from this pack-”
“-The person who banished me is now dead, so the banishment is null and void. I am challenging him for my pack. He’s an embarrassment to all Alphas. I need to whip this pack back in order. We need to be back to our old ways-”
“-Old ways? Oh, you mean the way of raping and killing other males mates. You mean to have Omega’s back for your playthings. No!” He turned to me. “This man has done more for this pack in two days than you did in two years.”
“I heard a challenge called. I suggest we get to it,” Autumn told him as she rolled her eyes at him checking her out.
“You and your sister will be mine too,” Jim started to spill his nastiness.
Autumn growled at him. “I will never be yours. We are Micah’s mates and we will always be his,” she said in a growling voice, her wolf close to the surface.
“Come on, Jim, let’s see if you are any better than your brother,” I sarcastically said, getting a weak growl in return.
I walked down the stairs, Jim following me. Blaze, my wolf, was watching my back, not trusting this wolf at all. I wanted to let him know I wasn’t afraid of him. I made sure I spelled myself before I got into the challenge ring. As we got closer I could see our pack members waiting on us. I guessed Micah or my sister’s called them.
“Alpha Griffith, he always has blades on him. They’re usually dipped in silver or poison. Please be careful,” Micah advised me as I gave him a short nod.
I had Micah watch my mate and Winter spelling out the rules. I could leave out weapons, but I wasn’t sure how many he had.
“He’s got six blades, Griffith. All of them poisoned,” Asher told me as he joined my wolf.
“Well, then, no blades it is."
Winter went over the rules, asking if there were any stipulations. “No blades. He’s got six of them.”
His head snapped to mine. “How the fuck do you know how many blades I have?”
“A little birdy told me, you idiot." He tilted his head in question. "I can smell the different poisons you used. If you were a real Alpha you wouldn’t need to cheat to win,” I chirped, wanting to piss him off. He growled a little louder than before. My growl was louder, making him fall on his butt. I wasn’t going to have this shit-stain thinking he could treat me like shit.
“Fine, are we here to fight or growl all day?” He asked as he walked over to his corner.
“Asher, did you scan over the territory? I have a feeling he’s not alone.”
“There are a few rogues out in the woods, but they’re not on your land. I think they’re waiting to see the outcome. Some of them have been beaten repeatedly if they didn’t come.”
“Thanks, Asher. I’m going to take him out as quickly as I can.”
“Fight!” Winter yelled, pulling my attention back on the fight.”
“Griffith, he didn’t say you could use your magic,” Autumn chuckled as she moved closer to Makenzie.
I gave her a short nod and gestured for the dumb fuck to come on. He didn’t move anything but his mouth. He was trying to make me mad. He was talking about Makenzie making him hard as he grabbed his crotch and simulated an act that was only supposed to be pure. He started talking about Autumn and Winter sharing his bed. He told them he could rock their world, as if. I saw Autumn and Winter take Micah’s arms and hold him back as they whispered in his ear, evidently calming him down.
I had enough of his talking and made his death quick. I separated his wolf from its human part. I knew his wolf was half bad and half good. I knew he had to die and my grandma would judge him. But, the man was all filth, all evil and dark. His words made me want to shudder. How could anyone talk to a woman the way he did.
“What did you do? How the hell is my wolf separate from me?” He bellowed, looking angrier than he was before.
“Well, I’m the Moon Goddess’s grandson, so I get a little something extra. Say goodbye to your wolf. I’m not sure if he will be reborn or not. You, I know will be going to a very hot place.”
“I will rule hell then. I will come back for you, you stupid fuck.”
I laughed as I rubbed his wolf's head and broke his neck. I smiled as everyone backed up. I threw my hands out, opening the way. Three shadow demons came out of the way, making me blink my eyes to make sure there were three of them. I heard Jim scream and try to run, but two of the shadow demons grabbed him. The other one zipped through the woods and came back with one of the rogues. I shook my head at the way they were pushing their limits of souls. I quickly closed the way and healed the earth. I didn’t want another shadow demon coming out of the way and pushing more limits. I would have to talk with my grandmother about what was going on, but I know she was reading me.
