From Here to Ecstasy

Chapter 115 - A Freak

Dedicated to my friends again. They always push me to better myself and my story. Thank you, oddball, PenumbraMINE, and N.Y.O.B.

Recap

I looked up at the seats in the grandstand, making sure they weren’t walking around. I nodded my head and reached out to open the earth. I flipped my wrist and moved my hand up, watching the earth come up and then seeing the pits of hell. Kat clung to me as she shook. I thought she knew what I was doing when she helped me with the spell. I pulled her close to my chest and rocked her while I kissed her head.

I heard the three screaming as the shadow demons climbed out of the hole in the floor, but I didn’t understand why there were so many of them. They claimed the three quickly.

I heard someone else scream, a scream that made my whole body twitch.

Sonny’s POV

I heard a scream that made my body twitch, then I heard more screams as I looked around at all the people the shadow demons were taking. A council Elder screamed and tried to hide behind Elder Wise, but Elder Wise sidestepped and let the shadow demon take him. I was coming to the realization the shadow demons were taking all the evil people. They could see what was in the person’s heart they took. If the person’s soul was black as the night they were being taken.

I watched my grandmother as she stood there, her expression blank. I tried to get myself back under control, but I was feeling Kat’s emotions and it was hard to take a deep breath in.

I squatted down in front of Kat and raised her chin to look at me. “Follow my breathing, Kat. You need to calm down. They won’t take you if your soul is not black. I know it’s a scary situation but you are okay. Come on, honey, breath with me.” I took a huge breath of air and slowly let it out, Kat following my movements. I knew if she could calm down then so would Ares. I could see Windy doing the same thing as I was.

After what felt like hours, but was only minutes, our breathing was back under control and I lifted my eyes to my grandmother. She nodded and kissed our foreheads. I could tell Kat and Ares were surprised by her actions. “Take care of your Royal pack. You don’t need to worry about Dean and his followers anymore. Two shadow demons took him and Darla. They took everyone who wanted to harm you because their souls were dark. I won’t tell you about what all they have done. I know you’re smart enough to know for yourself. I need to leave,” she explained as she waved her hand, putting the court back the way it was. “I love all of you. Please be on your best behavior.” Our grandmother disappeared right in front of us.

I walked over to Elder Wise, pulling Kat with me, not that she would let go of me any time soon. “Elder Wise, why didn’t you say anything?”

“Because I was investigating him and you already knew he was an evil soul. I could see it in your eyes as you looked at us. I knew he was helping out Ruby, who by the way, is now gone, too. I tried proving it but I couldn’t get anything on him, well, until you sent the papers to us. I made sure I picked out the last bunch and his schemes were in my stack.”

I nodded my head and smiled at him. “I knew he was not on the council to do good. He was always an ass to my parents. He wanted information on our strengths and weaknesses as if we would tell him. Thank you, Elder Wise, for being true. I loved that he tried to hide behind you. I was sure you were going to duck instead of side-stepping the shadow demon.”

“Nah, I didn’t have anything to be afraid of, it’s the reason I stepped away. I believe he got justice and so did you. No one can question what happened here because the Moon Goddess declared them guilty. I’ll take her word over anyone’s,” the Elder told me, a happy smile on his face.

“Are you here for some time?” I asked as we walked out of the court and into the hallway.

“If you will have us. We don’t need to be anywhere this week, so if you don’t mind we would love to stay here,” he answered as he smiled.

I walked closer and shook his hand. “Let me get you some rooms, okay?” He nodded and I called for a maid to help me find some rooms available. She walked out of the kitchens as quickly as she could.

She stopped in front of me and bowed. “Royal Alpha King, is there something I can help with, sir?”

“Would you please find some rooms for our Elders?” I asked as she smiled brightly.

“I have rooms ready for them, if the Elders would follow me I can show you where they are.” She bowed to me and the elders followed her.

“Elder’s, please meet me in the dining hall at six,” I commented as they nodded at me and bowed once again.

“Sonny, we are going to our room for a while. I suppose you will do the same thing, but remember not to eat the food until we check for poisons,” Windy whispered close to my ear.

“Go on with yourselves, Windy.” I laughed and pushed her shoulder. “I’ll mind-link you an hour before dinner.”

I watched as they ran out of the room as if their asses were on fire. I leaned down and kissed my mate’s forehead. “Are you ready to go to our room and talk?”

“Talk?” She sighed. “I don’t feel like talking to you. I want to map all the muscles on your body. I want to lick your whole body and then...I want you to fuck me and mark me as your own.”

I teleported us into our room, my eyes held amusement in them. “A lady in front of everyone but a freak in the sheets. I like it.”

“Well, it doesn’t just have to be in the sheets. It can be on the table, your desk, our-” She tried to say as I picked her up and kissed her before she could say anything else.
