From Contract To All My Life: I Own You

Chapter 36 Hurriedly Run Away, Leave Me Alone

'Why couldn't I pull them out?

Come on!'

Joy kept digging the stone at Amy's feet, wailing helplessly in her heart.

"Little girls, the floor has collapsed. Come out quickly." The crowd who had escaped from the ruins saw the falling floor and they was very anxious, reminding them of the current situation.

Reminded by them, Joy's action froze. She slowly raised her head and saw that the falling floor were about to reach their head. Her eyes widened in horror.

"Joy, leave me alone. I can't escape. Run!"

Amy broke down into tears, not because she was afraid of the danger she would face next. She cried because she was moved that Joy didn't give up on her.

A friend in need is a friend indeed. At this moment, she really realized the importance of this sentence. If it were not for her own experience, she could not believe it, In this world, there would really be someone who would save others regardless of his own life.

The pieces of broken tiles fell around the two people. Amy, who was crying and trying to push Joy away, didn't expect that Joy had done something that she would never forget in her life.

Joy held Amy under her protection.

In front of death, Joy didn't cry or make any noise. Instead, she tightly hugged Amy. No matter how hard Amy struggled, she couldn't struggle at all.

A bowl sized stone suddenly smashed towards them. The people around saw this scene and their hearts were anxious as if they was hanging in the air.

The stone hit on the back of Joy. She groaned in pain and her face turned pale in an instant, but she still didn't let go of Amy.

"Go away, Joy. Leave me alone, please."

In the desperation of Amy, the floor began to fall rapidly. The "click" sound of friction between the two buildings resounded through the large ruins. Everyone closed their eyes and did not have the heart to see this scene.

They really wanted to save people, but it was too late. If they rushed to save people, then one more person would be pressed under the ruins.

However, a minute later, there was no sound of heavy object falling on the ground. Instead, the sound of friction gradually became lower and lower, until it was silent.

Joy thought she would be buried under the ruins in the next second, but as time passed, the pain did not come.

She came to her senses and looked up. The broken floor stopped falling and was hung in midair, motionless.

"Amy, we are saved. We don't need to die." Joy was so excited that she let go of Amy. She grabbed Amy's shoulder and shook it hard, but Amy lowered her head and didn't move at all. Noticing that there was something wrong with Amy, Joy turned to the rescuers and begged, "Help us, please."

The aftershock stopped, but the building was still in danger of collapse.

The rescuers came to their senses and rushed to the side of the two people to rescue.

Two minutes later, Amy's feet, which were stuck in the ruins, were pulled out successfully. The medical staff lifted her down and examined her.

Enduring the pain in her back, Joy gripped the hem of her clothes tightly with her hands, waiting for the result of the examination.

A few minutes later, the medical staff took off the stethoscope, turned around and said to Joy, "There's nothing wrong with this girl. She just passed out in a hurry. She will wake up after a rest."

The medical staff said a few words and then hurried to save the other wounded.

Knowing that Amy was fine, Joy felt relieved.

At this time, Amy was arranged to rest on a bed in the ambulance. Joy covered Amy quilt. After confirming that there was no problem, Joy

jumped out of the car and was ready

to continue reporting.

As soon as Joy jumped down, she suddenly felt dizzy and her steps were a little erratic. She shook her head, but that feeling disappeared. Joy didn't care and continued to walk forward.

But not far away, Joy felt something was wrong. This time, not only dizziness, but also a dull pain in the stomach came. The pain came one after another.

Joy bent down and pressed her stomach tightly. She wanted to reduce the pain, but it was useless. She bit her lower lip and her face was pale. All of a sudden, Joy fell to the ground in pain.

In a daze, Joy felt someone was calling her. The voice was gentle, clear and cool, infiltrating into her skin and streaming.

Raising her eyelids with difficulty, Joy half opened her eyes and saw a handsome face with a clear outline. Somehow, she felt very familiar.

"Wilson." Joy's lips were flapping. After saying a word, she completely lost consciousness.

"Miss, can you hear me?" The man kept calling her, but Joy was still lying on the ground.

The man frowned, picked up Joy, walked to the nearest car, and drove away.

An hour later Amy woke up from a nightmare. She just dreamed that Joy] was standing under a building with a smile. No matter how she screamed, Joy wouldn't leave. She just watched Joy being pressed

under the ruins.

Amy gasped for breath. When she saw clearly that it was an ambulance, but she didn't see Joy, she stumbled out of bed and jumped out of the car regardless of putting on her shoes. "Joy... Joy..."

Amy called Joy anxiously again and again, but received no response from Joy.

Thinking of the scene before she fainted, Amy's pupils were dilated. She was afraid that the truth was really as she thought.

'If.... If something happened to Joy because of me, I would never forgive myself all my life.'

Regardless of anything else, Amy stepped on the ruins with her bare feet. Her feet were scratched by the broken stones, but Amy didn't know it and didn't feel any pain at all.

Amy ran to the nearest medical

staff, grabbed his sleeve and asked anxiously, "Did you see where Joy

is?" Seeing the doubt in his eyes net

Amy explained, "It's the female reporter with me. Do you know where she is?"

The medical staff shook his head to show that he didn't know. Then he pulled away her hand that grabbed his sleeve and hurried to rescue the injured.

Amy didn't give up. She asked people whenever she saw them, but the result was the same. They hadn't seen Joy before.

"I saw the lady you mentioned fainted just now and was taken away by a man in a white shirt."

Just when Amy was about to be desperate, a voice came from behind her.

Knowing that Joy was taken away, Amy turned to the man and asked, "Could you please tell me where that man took her?"

"She seemed to be sent to the medical headquarter." The man said after thinking for a while. 0000000
