From A Prisoner To A Big Short’s Inheritor

Chapter 91

Chapter 91
“The technique seems to come from martial arts...”
Arlene examined Dylan’s injuries again and again.
But each additional look filled her heart with more and more shock.
The result of the punch indicated that the attacker was definitely an expert.
She continuously simulated the battle in her mind, and sweat began to appear on her forehead.
They were so powerful that even she might not fare well against them.
At this moment, Arlene felt threatened for the first time.
Born into a martial family, Arlene had practiced martial arts since childhood and was invincible among her peers. This was why
she could rise rapidly through the ranks in the military department after graduating from high school.
Over the years, Arlene had completed many life–and–death missions, honing her heart to be as steady as a rock. Few people
could shake her state of mind.
However, at this moment, with her continuous analysis, she felt a tremendous threat.
The person who killed Dylan was definitely so strong that she didn’t have the confidence to defeat him.
Moreover, this person was in Newden City, possibly residing in Shoal Manor.
“This person is a huge threat in Newden City. I must find him,”
Arlene silently thought.
Inside Shoal Manor.
Leonard sat on the living room couch, listening to the sound of running water from the bathroom.
It made him, who had planned to train, somewhat restless. His mind was filled with images of Marianna.
“What’s Marianna doing taking a bath in broad daylight? Is she trying to seduce me?”

Leonard took several deep breaths, and after chanting many calming phrases, he finally began his training.
But he hadn’t trained for long when he heard footsteps.
Marianna, wrapped in a bath towel, walked out.
Her hair was wet, her cheeks a little red, and her bath towel revealed her fair thighs.
“Leonard, what are you doing? Meditating?”
Marianna curiously asked Leonard, who was sitting on the couch.
“I’m doing nothing.”
Leonard lifted his head, his gaze falling on Marianna’s chest.
The bath towel didn’t fully cover her, creating an enticing view.
Marianna didn’t notice Leonard’s gaze and sat down next to him.
A faint scent came from her.
Leonard quickly averted his gaze and coughed.
“Are you catching a cold? Do you need some hot water?” Marianna asked with concern.
“No, you can stay in the bedroom you used last time. If there’s nothing else, I’ll go upstairs first.”
With that, Leonard ran upstairs.
Marianna pouted.
“What does that mean? Am I not attractive?”
Leonard, who had dreamt of Marianna several times that night, took a cold shower in the morning.
When he came downstairs, he saw breakfast already prepared on the table.

“Did you make this?”
Leonard asked.
Marianna shook her head.
“I had takeout. Your house had nothing, so I had to order food.
“But if you want, I can make breakfast for you in the future.”
Leonard didn’t respond to Marianna’s statement.
Marianna confessed her feelings to Leonard, but he was unsure if he should accept.
To be honest, Marianna was quite beautiful. Her face and her figure were impeccable, but they had known each other for such a
short time.
Also, being with Marianna meant dealing with the pressure from her family.
Perhaps Marianna only said she liked him to avoid the arranged marriage.
Just as Leonard was lost in thought, Marianna waved in front of him.
Once Leonard came to his senses, he seemed a bit nervous. “Leonard, can you accompany me somewhere today?”
He was confused.
Leonard looked at Marianna, waiting for her to continue.
When I ran away from home, I left a suitcase at the hotel. I want to retrieve it, but my mom sent people waiting for me.
“If they see me, they’ll drag me home. Your martial arts are impressive. If you come with me, you could defeat them all.”
After she finished speaking, Marianna looked down at her feet as if she feared Leonard would refuse.
“Okay!”

Leonard nodded.
Marianna lifted her head, her eyes revealing a hint of surprise.
“Really?”
“Of course.”
As Leonard spoke, he was already stuffing the food into his mouth.
After her surprise, Marianna smiled brightly.
Leonard and Marianna arrived at a five–star hotel.
As they reached the floor where Marianna’s room was, they saw men in black suits filling the corridor.
Tiger, whose entire arm was cast, sat in a wheelchair.
Leonard hadn’t expected that after Tiger was injured, he would be back on duty so quickly.
Tiger glared at Leonard with a look of resentment. “Kiddo, I knew you would come, so I waited here, especially for you.”
Leonard responded with a smile, “Do you think I didn’t harm you enough? Want me to break your other arm?”
Upon hearing Leonard’s words, Tiger couldn’t help but shudder.
The men in black suits glared at Leonard angrily.
“So it was you who beat up Tiger. You’ve got some nerve to touch Tiger. It seems like you’re asking for trouble.”
“You beat up someone and then show up here as if you’re asking for trouble,” a man said. “Bow down now, or else you’ll end up
terribly.”
Looking around at his crew, Tiger calmed himself. “Kiddo, see this? Are you ready to get injured?”
Leonard shook his head. “I suggest you step aside. Let Miss Rodgers take her suitcase. Don’t trouble yourself.”
This statement made the crowd furious.
“How arrogant! Just because you know Miss Rodgers, do you think we won’t dare to beat you?”

“Madam Rodgers has instructed us to teach you a lesson without caring about Miss Rodgers‘ feelings.”
“You’re just a guy who hides behind a woman. How dare you act arrogantly? Let’s pull out all his teeth and see if he can still

“Does he think he’s great because he knows martial arts? We come in a group, and we don’t have to be afraid of him!”
Leonard, annoyed by their babbling, told Marianna, “Go get the suitcase. Whoever stops you, I’ll make sure they learn their
lesson.”
Tiger smirked. “Kiddo, do you think you can defeat us all?
“Here’s the deal today. You better kneel, apologize, let me break your legs, or I’ll leave you crippled.”
After being hit by Leonard, Tiger was pissed. Even with an injured arm, he insisted on waiting for Leonard.
Besides, Melanie had already given instructions. He was just following orders and not afraid of Marianna.
“Tiger, you’re too kind. Break his legs? That’s not enough. Break his arms too. That would be satisfying.”
“Yes, he beat up Tiger. He can’t get away easily.”
The crowd of men in black shouted.
But Leonard, along with Marianna, walked right up to Tiger.
“Are you ready to bow down? Remember to make it loud.”
Tiger said coldly.
Leonard just smiled. “I came here to help Miss Rodgers get her suitcase. But you had to mess around. I hate people like you.”

Hearing what Leonard said, Tiger smirked. “All talk? Yesterday you did beat me. But today, I have all my buddies here. I don’t
believe you dare to fight us.”
“If you dare touch me, I won’t let you leave the hotel alive.”
“I’d like to see that.” Leonard laughed.
“You’re looking for trouble, talking big at this time.”
“If you dare to beat Tiger, I’ll beat you up.”
“We have more than thirty men here, and they are all experts. We can handle you.”
The men shouted.
But then, Leonard put his hand on Tiger’s casted arm.
Tiger’s expression changed. “What are you doing?”
Leonard smiled faintly, “I’d like to see.”
“Crack!”
The cast broke, and the arm twisted.
In front of all these people, Leonard once again fractured Tiger’s arm.
