Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 749

Upon hearing the remarks, Flora lifted her gaze, her face expressionless.

Debra tilted her head and scoffed, "Don't you think you're being incredibly rude? Earlier, when Joy offered you bread and milk, you turned your nose up at it. Now, if it weren't for Joy, you'd still be suffering on that crowded bus!" "Yeah, some people don't have any skills but have all the attitude."

"Enough!"

Mr. Tanner couldn't take it any longer and roared angrily, "Are you here to bicker or to compete? Get on the bus now!"

He wasn't blind; he had seen them isolating Flora the whole way.

Debra pouted and muttered defensively, "But it's true, Flora really has no manners!"

"Miss Joy, is this woman disrespecting you? Should we teach her a lesson?" A member of the White family chimed in. Their tone dripped with disdain for Flora, as if she was beneath them.

Just a woman from Austenberg.

In fact, they didn't think much of Joy either.

But since Joy was someone their young lady specifically asked them to treat well, they had to be polite.

"No, no..." Joy quickly shook her head, pulling Debra aside and softly said, "Alright, that's enough. Let's get on the bus."

"Joy, you're just too kind. If it were me, I wouldn't even let her on the bus," Debra grumbled, still unwilling to drop it. Joy sighed, her expression a mix of helplessness and hurt, as she guided Debra onto the bus.

Everyone boarded, leaving only Flora and Selene behind.

"Flora, Selene, get on the bus," Mr. Tanner called out.

Flora, holding her phone in one hand, replied lazily, "You guys go ahead, I'm not coming. Someone's picking me up." "Someone's picking you up?" Debra leaned out, looking at Flora like she had just heard the funniest joke.

The others exchanged peculiar looks, thinking Flora was bluffing.

Did she think she was Joy, knowing someone from Lone Island?

Who could possibly be coming to pick her up?

Joy, with a gentle smile, said, "Flora, stop trying to act tough. Just

harm."

Mr. Tanner watched Flora for a moment and then stepped off the bus.

"Joy, you take them to the hotel and send me the location. I'll go back with Flora." He figured the young girl had her pride and felt humiliated by the ostracism.

Joy's small smile vanished completely.

"Director, do you really believe

someone's coming for Flora?

эЏ

Please, get on the bus!" Debra said. loudly. "Flora, haven't you caused enough trouble? Do you really want to drag Director Tanner into this? Who could possibly be coming to get you? You'll look ridiculous if you end up taking the bus back!"

"Yeah, Flora, stop being stubborn."

Everyone thought Flora was lying, their tones laced with mockery.

Flora kept her head down, focused on her phone, ignoring them.

Her phone buzzed. She glanced at the message and said, "My ride's here."

Just as she spoke, a black and grey Maybach pulled up in front of her. The man who stepped out of the car was none other than Moss.

"Ms. Flora, the boss got held up and

is still the way. He asked me to

come

get you first." Delongs

"Alright," Flora nodded coolly.

"Moss!"

Seeing Moss, the White family members' demeanor changed instantly.

Their previous condescension vanished, and they stepped forward, bowing politely.
