Chapter 36
Raising his head, Raymond drank a glass of red wine off. Turning around coldly, he walked into the room.
Scarlett got a good night's sleep and refreshed when she woke up the next day.
Katherine figured out what time she got up and gave her a call, "Good morning, Ms. Reed. The lawyer's letter has been sent to Tiffany, but..." Katherine paused, but Scarlett guessed what she was going to say, "What did she say?"
"She asked how much you wanted."
That was really the way Tiffany did things. Scarlett said with a smile, "Tell Lawyer Baker to directly prepare the lawsuit."
"I know what to do, Ms. Reed."
"Thank you."
"It's okay."
After hanging up, Scarlett got up and planned to make a sandwich for breakfast.
The sun was shining outside the window. It was indeed a good day today and Scarlett was in a good mood.
Alexander wasn't in a good mood. When he arrived at the company early in the morning, his secretary told him that a promising TV serial that the company was interested in this year had been negotiated last week and was ready to be signed. Today, out of the blue, an employee from the Fieroor Corporation called to inform that the TV serial' copyright to the novel wasn't for sale.
'It's not a big deal if they won't sell. Although there are few good TV series now, that TV serial doesn't have a great influence on the Sunrigal Corporation.'
The Fieroor Corporation soon contacted the Slooworld Corporation. The Slooworld Corporation and the Sunrigal Corporation had been enemies for so many years. Wasn't the Fieroor Corporation embarrassing the Sunrigal Corporation by doing this?
Alexander could stand not making money, but he couldn't stand such an insult.
He lost his temper on the spot, and slapped the plan file on the table, "Get me the person in charge of the Fieroor Corporation."
The secretary was scared to shiver. Nodding his head immediately, he went out to call the person in charge of the Fieroor Corporation.
Scarlett had just driven her car out of her villa when Katherine's call came, "Ms. Reed. Mr. Smith of the Sunrigal Corporation is requesting an explanation from the Fieroor Corporation. Mr. Mills asked me to ask if you are free this evening. You maybe required to attend a dinner."
Scarlett raised her eyebrows and said, "No, I'm not free. Ask Sam Mills to tell Alexander that the investor has been voted down and he won't have to say anything else."
"No problem, Ms. Reed."
After hanging up, Scarlett restarted her car, which was parked on the side of the road. She drove away in her red Ferrari. Only the dust was left.
It was Scarlett's 27th birthday today, which was exactly the 100th day since she had left Raymond.
Either way, it was a day for celebration today.
Scarlett was casual in life. Ever since she went out for a trip after the divorce, she thought the outside world was wonderful. She thought she'd been a fool to spend three years with Raymond, a man with another woman in his heart.
So for her birthday this year, she graciously rewarded herself with a yacht. The yacht had just arrived in the port last night, and she was now driving over to see this present she had given herself for her 27th birthday.
