Flames of Fury

Chapter 30

Incandis

Kat’s tongue slides up the base of my cock then she teases me by gently sucking my tip between her pouty, pink lips. I could definitely get used to waking up like this.

I put a hand on the back of her head in an attempt to guide her down and give me what I’m desperate for but she swats me away and laughs at me, the hum from her laughter only serving to further prolong the torture.

“You’re killing me, Kat.” I groan, pressing the heel of my hands into my eyes because I don’t know what else to do with them, she won’t let me touch her and it’s driving me wild.

“Hmm, good.” She says, now alternating between licking and sucking my shaft and head. “Now you know what it felt like to crave you and be denied.”

“Kat,” her name is half prayer and half apology.

Without warning she takes me into her mouth, sliding my length down past the back of her throat. She retracts all the way back to my tip before choking herself down on me again. The third time she does it is my undoing, and I cum forcefully down her throat.

She leisurely licks up my shaft and across my sensitive tip, cleaning up the cum that dripped out of her mouth when I exploded.

“Fuck, Kat,” I shiver with aftershocks of pleasure. I grab her around her waist and throw her onto her back, kissing down her stomach and straight to her perfect little pussy.

I wait for her to look me in the eye before I run a wide, flat tongue up her seam. “Your turn.” I grin at her with hungry eyes and dive in for my feast.

“Incandis,” she moans my name and my cock twitches back to life, hardening anew. “Incandis, wait, stop.”

“Mmm, not a chance, baby.” I dip my tongue into her core, lapping up her desire.

She moans out but her body doesn’t relax, if anything she becomes even more tense and pulls herself up so she’s sitting on the bed with me still between her thighs. She pushes against my forehead so I’m forced to look at her, “Incandis, listen. What’s that noise?”

Her wolf hearing is better than mine, but after a few seconds I think I hear what she’s hearing – muffled shouting and the unmistakable sound of a roaring fire.

She and I jump off of the bed in unison and sprint towards the window. Kat’s hand flies up to cover her mouth and silence the scream that’s threatening to pour out of her.

Beneath us angry red-orange flames are eating at the neighboring houses, families are running from their homes screaming and fleeing towards us, towards the pack house.

“We have to get downstairs.” She says and runs to the closet, throwing on the first pair of pants and shirt she sees, not bothering with underwear.

While she gets dressed I’m still paralyzed by the window, looking for the source of the flames. Just as I’m about to turn and get dressed myself I see it. A flash of black leather and scales.

Dragons.

“Kat,” I try to keep the urgency out of my voice so as not to worry her, “Kat, we have to get everyone out of here. Now!”

“What? Why what’s go–”

A fireball comes blasting through the wall where I’m standing, blowing a hole into the wall and splashing flames onto the carpet and nearby furniture. I teleport over to Kat, wrap my fingers around her wrist, and teleport us back to my room in the Grove.

“What the fuck, Incandis! We can’t leave them there!”

I pull a shirt over my head and jump into whatever pants are on the floor. “I’m not Kat, please trust me. Find my sister, tell her we’re under attack and to get ready for refugees.”

I can’t wait for her to respond. I teleport to Xander’s room but he’s not there. I check Mags’ office, the kitchen, even the rec room but he’s nowhere. Fuck! I don’t have time to play hide and seek, I need guards now.

I really don’t want to do this but I have no choice, I teleport into Mags’ bedroom.

Mags immediately shrieks and I swear it’s like multiple voices are screeching. “I need every teleporter to Shadowmoon. Now!”

Ro and Varian are half shifted and stalking towards me but stop when they hear me say ‘Shadowmoon.’

“What’s going on?” Varian’s growl doesn’t hide the concern in his voice. Mags throws on one of their shirts and heads over to the corner of the room and starts talking to something in one of the cribs.

“We’re under attack. Dragons. I need to go. Get me the guards!”

“Bring us.” Ro demands.

Mags stands up and turns to us, two little bundles in her arms. “I’m coming with you.”

“The fuck you are!” Varian shouts, making what I now realize are twin babies cry out again.

Mags pays the Alphas no attention and opens the connecting door between her room and Ember’s. “Ember can you — Xander?”

“We don’t fucking have time for this!” I shout, every second we spend here more of the pack goes up in flames.

“You’re not going, Mags. Stay here, keep our babies safe.” Varian tries a different approach because ordering her around won’t work.

“Fine. Go. I’ll get you the guards.” Mags acquiesces.

I grab the arms of the twins and Xander and I teleport back to Shadowmoon.

“Start bringing people back to the palace, we have to evacuate them.” I shout at Xander and then I run towards a father and mother running towards the packhouse with their daughters. I grab onto them and with no warning I teleport them to the palace. I’m sure they’ll forgive me later for not explaining sooner.

One family down, hundreds to go.

I teleport back and when I arrive back in Shadowmoon I recognize our guards, more arriving by the second. The Alphas are putting out fires as fast as they can but for every fire they extinguish two more arise.

“Xander! Take the teleporters, get everyone back to the Grove! Warriors with me!” I shout to our guards and immediately they divide as instructed.

Xander and the others are popping in and out shuttling everyone to safety. Warriors from Shadowmoon start running door to door evacuating people and directing them towards an open space so the teleporters can grab them with ease.

“Let’s clip some wings,” I shout to our warriors and then I lead us into the skies.

Magnolia

I’m floating in limbo, somewhere between consciousness and sleep; too tired to open my eyes, but too alert to fully succumb to sleep.

The purring on either side of me doesn’t help. Though it is comforting, it doesn’t make me want to sleep. It makes me want to sprawl out on top of my guys and nestle into their chests while their hands roam my body.

Their chests don’t stop rumbling, the vibrations of their purrs pulling me towards them like a magnet until I roll over on top of one of them, basking in their heat and running my fingers aimlessly through the smattering of hair on their chest. Their scent is intoxicating.

Firm arms wrap around me like thick tree branches, ensnaring me. One hand presses to my back and the other travels down, grabbing a handful of my ass. I smile against his chest because I don’t need to open my eyes to know it’s Ro’s chest I’m laying on and his hands that are roaming on my body.

I turn a little more so I’m fully on my stomach and open my eyes finally to see his forested irises staring back at me, waiting for me patiently.

“Good morning, gorgeous.” He whispers kisses against my forehead.

As I continue to rouse I become more and more aware of my body. There’s a noticeable but tolerable ache in my stomach and between my thighs. That’s when I fully process that my stomach isn’t round.

My heart rate spikes as I begin to hyperventilate. No, no, no, this can’t be, I can’t be in the Hollow. I scramble to get out of his grip but he doubles down on his hold.

“Mags, you’re okay, you’re safe.” Varian’s voice penetrates through the panic threatening to suffocate me.

Ro lets go of me, letting me sit up straddling him. I run my hands through my hair, comforted a little that it’s short but still confused by my lack of stomach. “My babies, where… what happened to my babies?” I paw at my stomach looking for signs of them like patting around looking for misplaced car keys.

Ro’s warm hand grabs my neck and his mouth engulfs the other side as his canines sink into his mark. I liquify in his arms, warmth flushes through my veins relaxing me from the inside out.

“Princess, you’re home safe. Cole and Calla are still sleeping.” Ro says, licking my neck leisurely.

“You didn’t get much sleep did you, love?” Varian asks but he knows the answer. Last night is such a blur, it might as well have been a dream.

“I’m okay, I think I was just disoriented for a second.” I roll myself back between them and allow them both to wrap themselves around me and nuzzle into me, peppering me with kisses.

Ro dips down to kiss along my collarbone, I automatically extend my neck to give him better access which is when I see my brother teleport into my room mere meters from where I lay naked between my mates.

It’s such an unexpected shock to my overtired mind that I let out an uncharacteristic shriek, waking up Cole and Calla in the process, their cries accompanying mine.

Ro and Varian throw a blanket over me and jump up half shifted to confront him.

“I need every teleporter to Shadowmoon. Now!” Incandis shouts, making the twins stop dead in their tracks.

“What’s going on?” Varian does his best to keep his protective nature from bleeding through his words. I grab the first shirt I see and throw it on so I can go comfort Cole and Calla.

“We’re under attack. Dragons. I need to go. Get me the guards!”

“Bring us.” I hear Ro demand and I whip around with the twins in my arms, awake but content being held.

“I’m coming with you.” It’s my natural instinct, what I’ve always done. Help, fight, protect.

“The fuck you are!” Varian barks at me, causing the twins to cry out again.

Fucking Alphas. I roll my eyes and make my way over to the connecting door between mine and Ember’s suites. She can watch the twins while I deal with Shadowmoon. “Ember can you –,” the words dry up in my throat as I see Xander’s head pop up from her couch. “Xander?”

“We don’t fucking have time for this!” my brother shouts.

Varian grabs my shoulders, his chocolate hazelnut eyes begging me to listen. “You’re not going, Mags. Stay here, keep our babies safe.”

I feel like I’m being pulled apart down the middle, my urge to help conflicting with the maternal call to care for and protect my newborns.

Motherhood wins out. “Fine. Go. I’ll get you the guards.” The four guys disappear just as Kat and Ember appear in my room, one from the connector the other from the main door.

“We need the guards,” Kat shouts as she runs into my room. “Holy shit those are babies. Oh my Goddess you had your babies?!” Kat shrieks, half in excitement, half in admonishment that I didn’t text them about it.

“Kat, can you take Cole and Calla for a bit?”

“Uhm, duh! Give me those babies. That’s right, come to Auntie Kat.” Kat says in a snuggly, sing-song type of way.

“I’ll be in the palace, text me if you or they need me. I’ll be back as soon as I can.” I kiss each of my twins on the head, basking in their drooping eyelids as they drift back to sleep in Kat’s arms.

“Ember, with me.” I turn on my heels, grab my phone, and mass text the guards.

All teleporters and warriors to Shadowmoon.

Now.
