“F***king lies,” Tatum growls despite the fear that makes his heart pound.

“I can hear your heart racing Alpha, what? You never thought her mate was going to come for her one day?” Kelvin smirks at him.

Kelvin isn’t sure if Leila is his mate but she must be, they have a strong connection even without the mate bond and he hasn’t found anyone else as his mate.

The only explanation is that Leila is his mate and once he gives her the cure, he will know for sure.

Taten says in a low, sinister and spies chilling tone, his grey eyes turf red and they narrow dangerously at Kelvin as he retracts his elawa chsing the distance between them.

Kevin glances around for a quick route to escape but there is none and his throat is quickly wrapped around by Tatum’s hand and Tatum’a claws pierce his throat, drawing blood and choking him.

“You’re lucky I can’t kill you, she’ll hate me for it and if you think you’re her f**g mate, then give her the cure, I don’t f**ng are. Just know, I’ll fight for her too cause I f**g-love her,” Tatum whispers coldly into Kelvin’s ears and lets him go roughly.

Kelvin looks into Tatum’s eyes sharply, shocked by his confession. He always thought Tatum kept Leila because of the Luna position.

Tatum himself comes to a silent realisation as Kelvin stares at him. It is the first time he has said those words out loud or to himself.

He loves Leila….He loves her.

Kelvin holds his throat, opening the vial Tatum had given him and downs it before he throws the empty vial to the ground like it burns him.

“What the f**k is that? It takes like pi**” He retches.

“That’s because it contains pi*** dumb a*, virgin camel pi**. It’s the main antidote to the poison from the spear that stabbed you.”

Kevin’s eyes fly wide open but he doesn’t ask the question on his mind before Tatum answers.

“Yes, believe it or not, I tried to get her the cure too.”
