Chapter 44
Chapter 44 Her Husband's Shameless Mother
As soon as Evelyn entered the door, she saw a man and a woman sitting on the sofa. They were Jerry and Nora.
At this time, Nora was still there. Evelyn had a hunch that something bad was going to happen.
Hearing the sound of the door opening, the two of them turned around one after another. Jerry was still sitting there motionless. Nora, on the other hand, came over to welcome Evelyn. However, her words made Evelyn feel uncomfortable. "Why are you getting off work so late?"
One part of her words was full of concern, while the other was full of questioning.
Evelyn lowered her head and changed her shoes. Her voice was indifferent as she said, "I'm working overtime."
"You're so busy with work, but you haven't made much money. Who knows if a woman is working or doing something outside all day long?" Jerry sneered at her sarcastically. "Whose car was the Bentley Bentayga just now?"
Her heart skipped a beat. She didn't expect that Jerry would see Huston send her back. A trace of panic flashed across her eyes. She lowered her head to hide her emotions and said perfunctorily, "A client." "Did a client cand you Ivana?" Lorry suddenly stood un and
Evelyn, do you think I'm a fool?"
No matter how guilty Evelyn felt, she was still angered by his attitude. "Jerry, how dare you say that about me?"
When Nora saw this, she immediately stepped forward to protect her son. "Evelyn, that's not right. After all, Jerry is your husband. It's really late for you to go home at this time. Besides, how can a couple sleep in separate rooms?"
"Heh." Evelyn sneered. No wonder Nora was here. She must have come here specifically to talk about this.
Evelyn knew how much Nora wanted to have a grandson. However, Jerry had never touched her before. Now Nora cared much more now.
What did they think she was? Did they think that she should be at the beck and call?
With an expressionless face, Evelyn said, "I won't let him touch me until he has cut ties with Maura."
After a year of married life, she thought that love could offset all of this. Now that her love had broken up, she was unwilling to force herself.
Nora knew that she was in the wrong, so she did not continue to provoke Evelyn. After all, if the two of them divorced, it might implicate money, so she could only endure it.
Watching Evelyn go upstairs, Jerry kicked the legs of the sofa hard.

Nora said in a low voice, "Don't worry. Since Evelyn doesn't want to have children with the Graves family, it means that she is disloyal to you. You should make preparations. As for Maura, it's up to you. I don't care."
Hearing this, Jerry was not in a good mood. He looked at the second floor with a grim look. Sooner or later, he would make Evelyn kneel and beg him!
