Finding Lilibeth

"Lex and Leo into the dining room now" Gramps stated walking into the house. He could see how angry Lex was and wanted to make sure he was no where near Lilibeth. He knew the twins were struggling and crying out for help but Darren clearly wasn't going to step up to the plate. "Sit down" Gramps fumed out seeing a smug looking Lex. Gramps knew that he was going to be a problem so quickly text Dj telling him to keep his door closed and to put the tv or some music on in the hopes to drown out the noise that Lex was likely to cause.

Leo and Lex sat next to each other with Gramps at the head of the table. "What you did in the car Lex was unacceptable" Gramps started only to interrupted by Lex. "Not my fault the little bitch threw a tantrum" Lex smuggly replied. "That wasn't a tantrum" Leo whispered. "Show some respect Lex. She is your sister" Gramps fumed out. "And you are right Leo that was a memory she got stuck in" Gramps added. "She isn't my sister, dad didn't even want her" Lex spat. "Lex I am warning you, don't test me because I will take you right back to police custody for you to wait for your father. How long has it been since the police first called?" Gramps asked causing Leo and Lex to shrink back into there chairs.

Lex was quiet for a minute before all hell broke loose. "You picked that fucken little bitch over us? She is pathetic not even her own mother wanted her" Lex screamed.

Lilibeth woke with the noise and was shaking again. "Hey Lili its ok. He would never hurt you" Dj calmly spoke to Lili. "He already did and he smells like alcohol again. He is going to hurt me again please let me go. I need to hide away from him" Lilibeth cried out. Last time Lex smelt of alcohol he hurt Lilibeth and she had run away. "What do you mean he hurt you before?" Dj asked. "Before I ran away he snapped my cast and punched and kicked me. Please Dj I don't want to be hurt again" Lilibeth was sobbing curled into a ball by now and rocking herself side to side to try to calm herself down and also keep quiet.

Dj was stunned, no one had told him that Lex had been physically harming Lilibeth. They said they were nasty and locked her in her room but never said anyone put there hands on her. "Stay here, I'll be right back Lili. You can lock the door if you want. I have a key" Dj stated before storming down to the dining room.

Dj was furious and headed straight over to Lex pulling him up so he was standing. "Do you get off on putting your hands on little girls?" Dj fumed out. Gramps quickly stood up to intervene until he heard Dj speak. "What?" Gramps asked. Leo shrunk in his chair even more. They purposely kept things from Dj and Gramps knowing that they would be in shit if either found out what Lex had done to Lilibeth. They used the beating from Lex's mates to cover the fact that Lex too had hurt his sister physically.

"Do you feel powerful hitting females Lex?" Dj spat. "She got what she deserved" Lex yelled back. Lex was scared of Dj, he had never seen him like this but he couldn't keep his mouth shut. "Really Lex? You are pathetic. You are twice her age and more then double her size. Takes a big man to harm a little girl" Dj spat back making Lex got bright red in embarrassment. "Your mother would be so ashamed of you" Gramps stated walking out of the room. Those eight words hurt Lex the most. He had always been a mummies boy until his mother passed away. Lex pushed Dj off and walked out of the house slamming the door behind him. "This is your fucken fault Lilibeth" he spat before heading home.

Leo was stunned at how Dj had defended his sister. Dj swung around looking at Leo. "Did you touch her?" Dj yelled. Leo quickly shook his head no seeing the look on Dj's face. "She was stuck in a memory of what Lex did to her. Do you not get what she has been through?" Dj asked Leo before heading off upstairs to find Lilibeth.

Gramps was knocking on Dj's door trying to coax Lilibeth to unlock the door for him. "My little Beth, he is gone now. He won't hurt you again. Please open the door my sweet girl" Gramps called through the door. Lilibeth was hiding in the cupboard right in the corner. She had curled into a ball and had her hand over her mouth so she wasn't making any noise. She was scared of what Lex would do to her if he found her.

Leo walked upstairs to apologise to Dj, Gramps and Lilibeth because seeing first hand what it was like for Lilibeth made him realise how he had treated her made things worse. He saw Gramps and Dj trying to get Lilibeth to open the door. "What's going on?" Leo asked. "She has locked the door and I don't want to scare her more by opening it until she is ready" Dj responded. "Lili its Dj its ok now Lex is gone. I'm going to unlock the door and come in ok?" Dj called through the door before taking the key out to unlock the door.

Dj and Gramps walked into the room expecting to see Lilibeth curled up in bed. Leo stood at the door not wanting to scare Lilibeth anymore. Dj and Gramps were looking around the room getting worried when they couldn't spot Lilibeth. "Lili its Dj please come out. I just want to check you are ok. Lex is gone" Dj called. He was really worried about Lilibeth. "My little Beth. Please just let me know you are ok. I'm sorry my sweet girl. I didn't know he hurt you too" Gramps called out.

"Dj, she might be in the cupboard" Leo stated. Dj swung around looking at Leo. "She hid there last time" Leo mumbled. Dj nodded his head and headed towards the cupboard. He opened the door and immediately saw his sister in the corner shaking and trying to stop the sobs from escaping her mouth. Dj went to rush over but was stopped by Gramps. "My little Beth, I'm going to come and pick you up. I won't hurt you" Gramps whispered making his way slowly over to Lilibeth. Gramps reached down picking up the small girl and felt her entire body go stiff. She had lost all trust in him and Gramps knew he had him self to blame. Gramps held Lilibeth to his chest rubbing his hand down her back to offer her comfort and exited the cupboard heading back downstairs to the lounge room.
