Finding Emery

Uncle Mike walked back in to the room frowning. "What's wrong dad?" Jasper asked. "They want her there tonight, seems snakes are in the area and there is talk of something going down early hours of the morning" Michael spat. He was furious that they had just got Emery back and already she had to be sent away and go into hiding again.

Taz went to pack himself and Emery a bag with a weeks worth of clothes. He slipped in a few weapons as well just in case he needed them to protect his sister. He would protect Emery with his life as would every Quake member.

Uncle Mike headed to Kody's room to wake Emery and Kody up. He would also be sending Kody with Emery as he had proven himself to be trustworthy. He knew that Taz and Kody would keep his princess safe. "Kody wake up" Michael said firmly. Kody immediately grabbed the gun from under his pillow pointing at Michael before lowering it and squinting at his boss. He finally registered who's voice had woken him. "You and Emmy are going into hiding. Pack a bag you have 15 minutes" Michael stated.

Kody attempted to get up but the spinning of the room and thumping in his head prevented it. Michael grunted before shoving panadol in his hand with a bottle of water. Michael moved to the closet and grabbed random clothes shoving them into a duffel bag for Kody. He also shoved some clothes at Kody and pointed to the bathroom. He wanted to have a few minutes alone with his niece to explain what was happening.

Uncle Mike sat next to his niece and turned the lights on. He ran his hand over her head trying to coax her out of sleep. It was 3am and none of the Quake's had got any sleep besides Emery. Emery stirred in her sleep a little, "come on princess open those eyes for me" Uncle Mike cooed trying to coax the little girl out of sleep.

Emery stretched out, she was still tired as she had been up several times through the night. Emery looked around the room and frowned as it was still dark. "Hey baby, I need you to wake up for a little bit" Uncle Mike said forcing a smile on his lips. Emery watched her uncle with big doe eyes not sure what was happening. "Emery, you along with Kody and Taz are going to go visit some people. They are family and I want you to be on your best behaviour" Uncle Mike started to say. "You don't want me anymore?" Emery rushed out while moving back on the bed away from her uncle.

Emery was so upset that the people who said she was wanted were now sending her away. When uncle Mike went to touch Emery she screamed and moved out of the way almost falling off the bed. Kody rushed out to see what was happening only to have Emery throw herself into his arms and begin to sob. "Emmy baby, you are so wanted and loved" uncle Mike said but Emery ignored him.

Uncle Mike felt horrible but he needed her safe and away from the house so she wasn't hurt. He would never forgive himself at all if something happened. "Come on, it's time to go" Michael stated but again he was ignored by Emery as she had her head buried into Kody's chest sobbing. Kody and Uncle Mike made it down the stairs were everyone was waiting for them. Taz had the bags for him and Emery in his hands and looked at a sobbing Emery.

Taz put his bags down and took Emery from Kody. "Hey baby, shhh. I got you" Taz whispered to his sister. "Don't leave me too Tazzy" Emery wailed out. She assumed no one else wanted her and that's why she was being sent away with Kody and Taz. Taz had assumed she was crying because of the shadows but was heartbroken to hear his baby sister. "No one wants me Tazzy" Emery sobbed out again.

Jasper, Seb and Chase stepped towards Emery to try and tell her she was wrong but was cut off by the phone ringing. Uncle Mike's phone alerted them all that the car Roberto sent was at the meeting point. "Emery, we all love you and want you with us. It's not safe hunny, you will be back in a few days" Uncle Mike stated. Emery just ignored his words and tried to make herself disappear into her brothers arms.

Taz carried Emery towards the back of the house where there was golf carts waiting. They didn't want anyone they didn't trust knowing Emery was going into hiding. Kody followed carrying all the bags. Just as they got to the door, the power on the entire property was cut so they could leave in darkness. Uncle Mike went to kiss Emery on the head but she shrunk even further in to Taz. "Take care of our little princess. We will see you in a few days" Uncle Mike said before the trio got into the carts and disappeared.

"Dad, she is going to hate us for this" Seb stated. "We will not let that happen. We take care of the red snakes and the rats in our gang and then we get Emery back. She will never leave our sight again" Michael snapped. He was angry that he was hurting his niece who had just been found. "Let's get some sleep we move tomorrow night" Jasper stated.

Chase was devastated that his sister was sent away. He understood it, but he hated the look on Emery's face and the sound of her heartbreaking cry's when she thought they didn't want her. He was out for blood just like the rest of them. Chase was worried about what affect this would have on Emery, short and long term. She had already been through so much already.

Taz and Kody kept quiet and made it to the location where Roberto was waiting. Emery had cried herself to exhaustion and was asleep on Taz gripping him like he would disappear if she let go. She was she hiccuping in her sleep with tears running down her face. Every so often her little body would shake and she would whimper gripping Taz's shirt harder.

"Taz my boy let's get the little princess into the warmth" Roberto whispered when he saw the little girl slightly shake. "Uncle Roberto, this is Kody, Emmy's personal guard" Taz introduced while he got himself into the back of the car with Emery still holding on Taz. Roberto helped load the bags into the boot and got himself in the car driving to a safe house. Taz just watched his baby sister still whimpering in her sleep. He was worried the damage that this all would do to her.
