Chapter 47
Chapter 47
Estelle knew what Magdalen was asking and tried to play it cool, “It’s okay”
“What about any fetishes? Does he have any?” Magdalen continued to pry.
Estelle’s ears began to feel hot as she searched through her chaotic memory, “I don’t think so.”
Magdalen felt more at ease and took a small box from her purse, throwing it to Estelle, “If you’re not looking to get pregnant right
now, take one of these each time. They’re safe and have no side effects, but it’s best to have him take precautions just in case.”
Estelle’s gaze fell upon the box, and she hesitated for a moment before opening it. Without further delay, she picked up one pill
and placed it in her mouth.
Memories flooded her mind as she recalled the tragic car accident that claimed the lives of her adoptive parents when she was
only four years old. Since then, she had been sent to an orphanage, and it was Magdalen who had taught her about women’s
physiology, emotions, and sexuality, filling the gaps in her understanding.
The two of them were close friends, teachers, and family for each other.
They arrived at the Royal Mansion, went upstairs, and entered the room which was the same as when Estelle left. Jonathan
hadn’t been back all this time.
The sky was getting dark, so both of them put down their luggage and went downstairs for dinner.
A decent Western restaurant was opposite them, and they chose a window-side table.
“Why don’t you hire a maid since Jonathan isn’t around much, and you don’t know how to cook?” Magdalen asked.
Estelle casually cut her steak without looking up. “Because of my identity as a poor student, it’s more or less acceptable for me
to rent a room just because I can afford it. But hiring a maid would be too suspicious.”
Magdalen laughed, “How long do you plan to hide it from him?”
Estelle didn’t plan to hide it initially, but what he said that night made it difficult for her to reveal her identity. What happened later
was indeed beyond her expectations.
“Just go with the flow,” Estelle said casually.
“Jonathan doesn’t come here often, but the room is clean. There must be a regular cleaning lady. As for the food, I can cook,”
she continued.
Magdalen laughed out loud, “You? Cooking? Well, at least it’s just for yourself. But no worries, I’ll treat you to dinner more often
so you don’t malnourish yourself.”
Estelle’s eyebrows furrowed slightly as a hint of self-doubt crept in. “I suppose my cooking skills could use some improvement.”
Magdalen couldn’t help but stifle a laugh, pretending to exude confidence. “Of course, of course! I have complete faith in you!”
After chatting for a while, Magdalen said, “Old Mrs. Copeland is having her 80th birthday party next Saturday, and I got two
invites. One for the lady of the Sampson family and the other for the Langston family’s future. daughter-in-law. The Copeland
family is so thoughtful.”
Estelle replied indifferently, “I received two as well.”
One was for KING, the design studio partner, and the other for the president of GK Jewelry Studio.
Magdalen took a bite of her foie gras, “So, do you want me to pick you up next Saturday?”
Estelle shook her head, “I wasn’t planning on going.”

“Why would I?” Estelle retorted. “I heard that Old Mrs. Copeland’s will is being revealed that day, but I don’t see why there would
be any drama.”
Magdalen blinked in response. “You’ll understand once the time comes!”
After dinner, Magdalen went to meet up with Morrison and Estelle returned alone to the Royal Mansion.
The living room had a large floor-to-ceiling window with a view of the bustling J City skyline. The glittering lights were filled with
people’s exciting nightlife.
Estelle turned on the lights, went into her room, and found the messy sheets from the morning replaced with
new ones.
It must have been the cleaning lady.
Estelle suddenly wondered if Jonathan had ever brought women here before, and whether the cleaning lady was already
accustomed to it.
