Chapter Penthouse Problems
I was in a long black evening gown I had bought last week in town when Skylark and I had went shopping. My hair tied up in a ballerina bun at the back of my head and diamond earrings on my ears. Which were a gift from Maddox during my stay at his home during the Yule break. He bought them for me because he felt sorry for all the shit I had went through. Emphasizing the fact which Jax always hated about his dad. He didn’t do feelings. He did money and gifts and bribes.
The high heeled sandals were red and had been a gift from Dosch from that last party I had joined him at. Since we had to be in town for this gala evening and he was already there at his apartment. He had send his limo driver to pick me up on campus.
I was now dropped off in front of an entirely too fancy deluxe hotel. His room was number one, the penthouse. I had to reach it by private elevator. A bellboy had to push the buttons for me and I felt entirely uncomfortable. Especially since his two bodyguards, Marcus and Mourad had joined me in the elevator. Both of which I had already met. They were always lingering around campus and his Scorpio crew for protection purposes. One of them had pointed me in the direction of the pool once, back in the day when I didn’t know my way around the place yet.
I was finicking with my clutch when the elevator pinged open, giving me a 360 view on Rivellin since every wall in front of me was made out of glass. It was as if I was walking into an open space.
My mouth fell open with the lavishness of this place. Everything that was white and modern was in this room. ‘It’s so gorgeous.’ I whispered out loud.
‘Well thank you Carina. You are too.’ His deep voice, with that thick accent came from my left and I turned my neck. Mouth still open.
‘And you live on campus because?’
He sniggered. ’Campus is still the safest place in Rivellin. The Libra’s will not take me out in broad daylight next to all those prominent college students.’ He made a hand gesture as I they were disgusting him. It made sense in a way.
He kissed my cheek and stepped back. Eyeing me up and down again. Making me blush.
‘You are so adorable. Don’t blush for me.’ He teased and pecked my lips again. I just stood there like a silly little schoolgirl, not able to speak suddenly because her crush was in front of her. What is this man doing to me?
‘So where are we going tonight Dosch?’
He put his arms around my lower back and guided me back to the elevator. ‘Downstairs. The party is at the event hall in this hotel. Very convenient.’
The elevator became really crowded with the bellboy and those two broad bodybuilders. So he placed me in front of his body and wrapped his arms around my front. Everyone else was facing frontwards like we were. He kissed my neck slowly, passionately. I barely could contain my moan or my heavy breathing. Arching my back on reflex and he had to stifle his own moan as well, feeling his very hard thoughts for me very clearly through those suit pants. ‘Carina.’ he breathlessly added. While the others were still pretending to not notice how many degrees this elevator had risen in temperature in the last minute and a half. His one hand had moved to my neck again, making sure to stop on its way up at my boob and the other was drifting lower.
Thank god the elevator pinged on the floor we were getting out of, or we would be getting off somewhere else.
I stumbled out of the thing, holding hands with him. He kissed me softly. ‘Stay close, okay?’
I nodded and held on to his arm while holding his hand.
It was a tough crowd this one. The dangerous vibes just drifting towards me from all angles. He introduced me to some friends and family members. We were standing in a larger group and he was entertaining his associates with an elaborate story when one of the other men approached me.
‘You are different from all the others he has brought to these type of things.’ The Italian mobster looking man said rather bluntly. He looked a little like Al Pacino.
‘Oh don’t worry dear, it was a compliment. He usually brings them not so bright ones who just stand here and look pretty. They hardly every speak and when they do, you wish they would just shut it.’
‘Well… thank you for the compliment sir.’
‘You are a very nice young lady and I’m happy to see you with him. He needs that in his life right now.’
I blushed again.
Dosch came from behind and pulled me into a sideways hug. The mood was tense. He did not like this guy.
‘Father…’ he stated coldly. I blinked in shock. The man just laughed. ‘Son, I was just meeting your lovely girlfriend.’
‘Date, not girlfriend.’ Well auch.
‘Fine son. Date. She’s lovely anyway.’
‘I don’t need your permission or approval for anything father.’
‘I know son. I know. But I just wanted to say it.’
He brought me to a family event?
Dosch steered me clear of his father and walked me towards the far end of the dancefloor where the bar was and ordered me a glass of champagne without asking. I took it. Still flabbergasted. A bunch of kids around ten years old were running past us and one of them almost ran against me. ‘Carlos!’ Dosch snapped. ‘Careful!’
‘Who are you?’ The kid named Carlos said while looking up at me. He had the same eyes as Dosch but longer lighter brown hair than he had. I wondered for a quick second if this was his kid.
‘This is my nephew, Carlos.’ Dosch casually stated. Carlos just stared at me with his mouth open. ‘You are pretty.’ He added. Dosch chuckled and reached for me. ‘She is. Now close your mouth and go hang out with the others.’
‘Nephew huh.’ I stuttered. ‘Dosch, don’t you think you should have told me we were going to a family event tonight?’ I took a big sip from my glass.
‘Why?’ he laughed. ‘Does that really matter, Carina?’
‘I would have worn panties for one!’ I hissed at him. Glancing over my shoulder to check if one of his aunts wasn’t listening in.
He licked his lips and sipped from his own glass before answering. ‘Hey, it’s not my fault you’re so horny Carina.’ I hit him on the shoulder. ‘Like you aren’t.’
‘True.’ He chuckled again. ‘Making it more difficult now.’
‘I thought we were just hooking up?’
‘Aren’t we?’
‘I just met your father and your nephew, Dosch.’ I added on a dry note. Carlos was still staring at me from across the dancefloor.
Later that night, when we returned to the penthouse, Dosch’ mood had completely shifted. He was in such a foul mood that I was starting to worry a bit. Not about my safety but about his. He was starting out his windows, with that whiskey glass in his hand.
‘Are you alright?’ I kissed his neck and rubbed his back to soothe some of the dark energy away.
He didn’t answer but turned around anyway. Offering me his glass. ‘This is Fae whiskey. Very rare. You should have a taste. It’s completely safe for you.’ He tipped it at my lips. I had already tasted it with Sebastian at Yule Break. His eyes were focused on my lips and they were becoming hooded. I sipped from the glass and it tasted good. ‘Yeah… that’s really nice.’
He gave me a sad smile and kissed my mouth. ‘It tastes even better coming from those lips.’ He breathed against them. He started progressing things and I stopped him. ‘Dosch, I’m going home tonight.’
‘Sure you are.’ He kissed me again. ‘After.’
’No not after…. Before. I’m not sure you are in your right mind at the moment.’
He mockingly laughed. ’Yeah okay, cause you know me so well.’
‘Don’t be a dick.’ I pushed him back a step and frowned at him. He saw the expression on my face and sighed, ashamed. ‘I’m sorry, Carina.’
‘Don’t worry about it.’ I was aggravated though.
I turned on my heel and the elevator opened. His bodyguards lived there probably because they were in it still.
The doors closed behind me and I turned around.
‘Lux, be careful what you do next.’ Marcus said.
‘What do you mean?’
’This is his I’m getting ‘into it vibe’ and not many girls have ever reached this stage with him. He usually pushes back harder now.’
‘Well, thanks for the unsolicited relationship advice.’
‘Well, he never brought anyone to a family event before.’
And with that the doors opened downstairs and a whole other mindset opened in my mind as well.
