Fated to the Werewolf King

Chapter Epilogue: 10 Years Later

The sun casted its light across the ocean's surface, glistening blindingly in the summer heat. Waves licked the soft sand, smothering fresh foot prints that were left behind. Lily walked along the shore, the water lapping at her ankles, its warmth barely mimicking that of the sun's rays on her already lightly tanned skin. Her blonde hair swayed against her lower back, slightly frizzed from the humidity. Sweat and the ocean spray carried by the gentle breeze speckled her skin with tiny droplets. She gazed out at the ocean, the water going on for miles. She ran her fingers over her bikini top, feeling the slivers of her scars that continued to decorate her skin. Her fingers stopped as they reached her lower belly where a new addition of scars now existed. She smiled to herself as she traced the long scar. She had the opportunity to have it completely healed by Nox, but she chose not to. She kept the scar to always remind her of the joys she brought into the world. A see through white scarf wrapped around her widened hips, barely hiding her bottom to her swimsuit, the soft fabric caressing her legs.

"Mom!" A sweet voice called out to her, drawing her attention to a young girl running up to her. The girl stopped at her side, catching her breath. She had the same blonde hair as her mother, except their was jet black at the roots and various streaks through out. Her face had similarities to her mother as well, except for the eyes. Her left eye was an emerald green, but her right eye was crimson like her father's.

"Did you come to walk with me, Myra?" Lily asked her daughter as she started walking again. Myra walked alongside her in her school's basketball t-shirt and shorts.

"Actually, dad wanted to know what you wanted for lunch.” She told her, peering over her shoulder and started waving her arm a bit wildly. Lily glanced back, stopping her next step as she gazed at her husband. He walked down a grassy path that was hidden between a line of palm trees, still as massive and as muscular as he was ten years ago. His broad chest, ribs and strong arms decorated with his tribal tattoos. His jet black hair now lightly peppered with age, his face still cleanly shaven. Behind him stumbled two Wolf pups, chasing and tackling one another into the grass. One blonde and one black.

"Boys." Jayce growled down at them, but they didn't listen to him. They rolled around the grass until they reached the sand. Lily whistled to them, the boys stopping almost immediately, turning their attention to her before running over. They shifted back, running around in their naked forms. Jayce held up their clothes, already knowing full well what the twins were capable of.

"You all didn't have to come fetch me.” Lily said as she reached out to Jayce. He slipped his fingers between hers, bringing her in close and wrapped his arm around her waist. He nuzzled into her neck, leaving behind small, tender kisses on her skin. She shivered, pressing her hand against his chest.

"We're hungry." The blonde boy with the crimson eyes spoke up as he fumbled to get dressed. "You're always hungry, Sylar.” Myra exclaimed to him, helping him get into his shirt. The boy with black hair and green eyes fell to the ground as he tried to get his shorts on.

"I want hot dogs.” The black haired boy shouted, grabbing Lily and Jayce's hands, jumping up and down.

"Again, Zyrus?" Lily asked him as he pulled her and Jayce along. Sylar and Myra walked ahead of them as they began their trek back to the house.

"What about frying up some chicken?" Jayce suggested. Zyrus' eyes lit up instantly, “With fried onions, green beans, jalapenos..." he started listing off vegetables, watching as Zyrus' face slowly twisted into disgust. He released their hands and ran over to his siblings, leaving Lily to laugh. Zyrus tackled his brother, shifting once more. Myra groaned loudly at her younger brothers as they fought again.

"So much for having a peaceful lunch." Jayce grumbled, his hand finding hers again. She leaned into him as they walked, her feet connecting with the soft grass as they followed the winding path up the hill.

"When has it ever been peaceful with those three?” Lily asked as she watched Myra shift before their eyes, shredding her clothes next. Her fur shimmered in the sunlight, the black streaks almost like tiger stripes along her sides as she chased after the twins. Lily's fingers touched the scar once more as she watched her children play.

"Myra wasn't so bad. I think we got lucky with her." Jayce commented, watching his children disappear ahead before tugging Lily against his body, "What do you think about trying for baby number four?" He asked her, leaning in and kissing her hard. She moaned against his lips, feeling him harden against her. His hands roamed over her stretched mark covered waist and stomach, gripping her hips tightly.

"The last time we tried, we were surprised with twins.” She bit his bottom lip, making him growl. A high pitch howl stopped their advances, drawing their attention up the path where they see a lone figure standing near the end of the path with the children.

"What is it, Nigel?" Lily asked as her and Jayce ran up to him, shutting off their lust for the time being. Nigel was appointed as the children's guards while they were not with them, and the usual stoic man looked uneasy.

"Alpha. Luna. We have some unexpected guests that wish to speak with you." He said to them. Lily and Jayce met gazes, wondering who on Earth outside their security would know where they were? "Myra, I want you to take the boys around the back and into the kitchen with Nigel. Do not come near those people until we know what's going on." Lily knelt down to the slightly larger Wolf. Myra gave a faint nod before barking at the boys. At first they fought back until Jayce growled deeply, making them jump and finally obey. Once Nigel escorted them safely away, Lily took a deep breath before heading toward their home.

After breaking away from the tree line, the path wrapped around a large wall of hedges before a stone archway greeted them. Upon passing through, they were met with a beautiful two story beach house that overlooked the ocean. Joel inclined his neck to them as they reached the front entrance. "I'm not sure how to take it." Joel admitted to them. This was odd to see from him as well, "There are six of them. They wished to speak with you both privately.”

"Do you recognize any of them?" Jayce asked, trying to settle down. A deep growl rumbled in her head. Even Nox felt uneasy. Joel ran a hand over his bald head.

"Lord Dante is among them." He said, yet he still looked deeply troubled as he opened the door for them. Jayce looked down at Lily, grabbing her hand and squeezed it tightly.

"Will you be okay?" He asked her. Lily met his crimson gaze and nodded.

"I have you and Nox with me." She squeezed his hand in return before going inside with him. The large foyer was met with a wide stair case in the center with two hallways on each side of the base of it. A crystal chandelier hung high above them as they walked across the marbled tiling to the living room. The archway opened up into a room with a cathedral style ceiling, white furniture spread out in the spacious room. The furniture was occupied by strangers aside from one individual. "It's her.” A dark skinned woman with black pixie hair and violet eyes jumped to her feet immediately, stepping forward. Jayce put his arm up in front of Lily, growling menacingly. A tall gentleman rose up beside her, his dark brown hair and tanned skin, accompanied by smoldering gold and red eyes.

"Easy, darling. I told you how protective he is of his Luna.” Dante told her, his hand resting on her shoulder. She stopped her advances, but the bubbles of excitement shown on her face still.

"Right, I'm sorry.” The woman grew shy, stepping back, but Jayce didn't lower his guard. Lily looked from them to the next pair who got to their feet next. A woman with hair as white as snow and icy blue eyes and wore a brown leather jacket with black cargo pants. She had what looked like a hunting knife shealthed on her belt. The man beside her towered almost to Jayce's height, his deep green eyes stood out against his short black hair. The aura he gave up was familiar to Lily instantly. "You're a Werewolf.” She said aloud. He nodded to her, but his eyes landed on Jayce. She looked between them curiously.

"He's a Rogue.” Jayce mentioned to her, the muscles in his arm tightening against her from approaching further. Lily knew that Rogue Werewolves existed, but to think she'd actually meet one in person.

"He's the Alpha to the Rogues.” The woman beside him spoke up, resting a hand on his arm. His shoulders dropped on contact. "I'm a Hunter.” She bowed her head toward them.

"A Hunter?" Lily asked her.

"It's an organization created by the human government to keep the Supernatural order if some chose to stray away. Mostly to deal with the Rogues, but I see that went swell.” Jayce filled her in. The man lifted his lip in a snarl at him. With this man being Rogue, he didn't have to bend his will to Jayce. He was free.

"Enough already. It's like watching two frat boys trying to compare dick sizes." A voice blurted out from the other couch. A woman with fiery red hair flowed over her shoulder, her left side shaved low. She wore a black tank top that showed off her tattooed arms, neck and a bit of her chest. A man sat beside her, looking amused at the squabble in front of him. The aura he was giving off felt sinister, making Lily recoil into Jayce's protective body.

"What are you?" She asked him. He smiled charmingly at her as he stood up to his full height. He wasn't as tall as the Werewolves, and not quite as slender as Dante, but he was in a class of his own. His black hair spiked, his eyes as dark as an endless void. He wore a black button up with the sleeves rolled up and showed off his own tattoos and black leather pants.

"I go by many names, but you may call me Zalakai." He winked at her. Jayce clutched Lily against him.

"Demon." He snarled. The woman beside Zalakai yanked the man back down onto the couch. "Idiot." She called him, but Zalakai only smiled at her, grabbing her hand and kissed it. Lily eased up as she looked from each face.

"My name is Willow, I'm a Light Witch.” The dark skinned woman introduced herself, gesturing to Dante, "You know Dante already. The Hunter is Amira, and the Alpha is Aiden. The woman beside Zalakai is Rayleigh, she's an Exorcist.” Willow introduced the group.

"Amira and Rayleigh belong to the same organization, they just cover different fields of work." Dante filled them in. Lily pressed her hand to her forehead as she tried to process everything. "Okay, and you found our home, how?" Lily asked them. Willow looked away guiltily.

"I'm sorry. I used a type of Scry spell to find you.” Willow said to her. Lily could tell the woman really meant she was sorry. "I didn't want to meet like this, but I couldn't wait any longer.”

"I'll go check on the kids so you can talk to them." Lily told Jayce, turning away.

"No, you misunderstand. We came here to see you, Lily." Willow said before Lily left the room, pulling her attention back to them.

"What would you need from her?" Jayce asked in her place. Willow looked over to Amira who then pulled out a thick book from behind herself. Lily's eyes fell onto it, feeling a sudden pull toward the leather bound literature. She stepped away from the safety of Jayce, letting the book draw her in until she was in range of it.

"It's true." Amira broke through her thoughts as she pulled the book away from Lily. Lily reached for it mindlessly as if she was in a daze. She could hear Alpha Aiden growling as he put himself between Amira and Lily.

"Stand down." Lily spoke to him, but she couldn't recognize the voice that came from her. Aiden struggled, his muscles tensing against whatever power was tugging at him. After what felt like an eternity, Aiden stepped back into place beside Amira, looking exhausted and visibily confused. "Lily?" Jayce called her name, and when she looked back at him, there was an alarming look on his face. She just told a Rogue Werewolf to stand down when he shouldn't be able to follow her orders. "Lily, the book Amira has was written by the Moon Goddesses." Willow told her, "Only the descendant can read from it and gain its power.” Lily met the woman's gaze when her next words hit her, "You're that descendant.” If not for the drumming of Lily's heart, silence would have filled her ears.

"I'm sorry, what?"
