Fated to the Werewolf King

Chapter 36: Lily

The smell of bacon wafted through her senses, stirring her empty stomach and starting up her brain. Her eyes fluttered open, gradually taking in the Christmas themed living room. The fireplace was dead, but the vague scent of smoke still lingered. She sat up, her hips still aching from the night before. Memory of Jayce ravaging her after getting home from work engraved into her mind. She looked around the room, her eyes landing on her Mate sleeping soundly beside her. He must've been far more exhausted than she realized.

"Lily." Nathan's soft voice came to her from the doorway. She gasped, covering herself with a portion of the blanket. He held up a plate with bacon still sizzling on it. Her mouth watered. He walked away as if teasing her with its aroma. She looked around, finding her clothes and quickly got dressed.

When she stepped into the kitchen, her eyes widened at the display. There was the plate of bacon, sausage, pancakes, scrambled eggs, waffles, and hashbrowns. The entire counter was a beautiful display of breakfast food, she didn't know which end to start at. Elias was already awake and sitting at the counter with his plate of food.

"Lily!" He said with a mouth full of pancake. She smiled, sitting beside him and patted his back gently.

"Good morning. Dad, what is all of this?" She asked him. He was at the stove, making more food.

"I just wanted to make everyone breakfast this morning, especially if you're letting me stay here until after the wedding.” He flipped over the bacon, grease splattering and sizzling.

"You made a ton though.” She said, picking up a piece of bacon. The grease coated her tongue, the flavor making her tastebuds sing.

"Yes well, I had to take a guess that Wolves have a bigger stomach than we do.” He chuckled. He wasn't wrong. A soft groan came from the doorway as Jayce entered, still looking half asleep. He had managed to put his jeans on, but left his shirt in the other room. Lily's eyes wandered over his tattoos, tracing them with her eyes.

"My eyes are up here." He said with a yawn as he sat across from her. She blushed, looking away. He chuckled at her, his eyes looking over the food, “Is it my birthday?" He asked as his body finally started to wake up with the feast in front of him.

"Not quite.” Nathan said as he brought over more bacon. Jayce's eyes were wide and lit up like the Christmas tree. He reached for everything he could get his hands on. Elias watched him and proceeded to do the same.

“Elias.” Lily said as he spilled some food onto the counter. He stopped, looking up at her. She could picture his wolf ears laid back. She smiled, ruffling his hair. He perked up once more and went back to eating. Nathan brought out milk and orange juice, grabbing a few more glasses for everyone. They all ate in silence, but it was peaceful.

"What a lovely sight.” Penelope chirped from the doorway. Lily glanced over to her soon to be mother-in-law, then to the man that was towering behind her. Derek. Jayce stopped eating once he saw him. She could see his Wolf trying to surface, but before he could, Lily hopped off of her seat and walked over to Penelope.

"I'm so happy to see you." Lily smiled as they hugged. Penelope squeezed her more than she had before. She pulled back, looking Lily over quickly.

"I hope you're doing well, sweetheart." She winked at her. Lily blushed.

Does she have that sixth sense to?

Penelope stepped aside, and Derek looked down at her. Lily swallowed, but she didn't back down. Compared to her large shirt and basketball shorts, Derek was in another business suit. He was trying to intimidate her, but she won't let him. Instead she smiled up at him, stepping aside and gestured to the food.

"Hungry?" She asked simply. He cocked a brow at her invite, but he pulled off his jacket.

"Famished actually.” He responded before walking passed her and took his seat beside Elias. Elias was looking up at Derek with glee, his body bouncing a bit on his stool.

"Dad! I shifted!" He shouted. Lily walked over to the other side by Jayce who met her gaze. He looked concerned, but she smiled at him as she sat between him and Nathan. It was definitely crowded now.

"I'm so proud of you, darling.” Penelope said as she sat on the other side of Derek. Derek looked down at the food as if waiting for someone to plate up for him.

"Please, help yourself." Lily told him as she took her plate away from his side and continued eating. He hesitated before grabbing a plate and quietly joined in. Penelope took smaller portions, keeping her elegant etiquette while she ate.

"How are things coming along with the ceremony?" Penelope asked them.

"Almost done." Lily stated proudly. Jayce paused mid bite of his sausage, casting his eyes over her. "Really?" He asked her. She nodded, smiling up at him.

"Yeah, I ran into some mom's yesterday at the central park. Since a ton of places are not taking last minute requests due to the holidays, they insisted on talking to their mom group.” She gasped, "I didn't give them my number.” She groaned.

"What were they offering to help with?" Jayce asked curiously. Lily put up her hand as she listed with her fingers.

"Food mostly. I still have to find a dress for myself and Erica.” She tapped her chin thoughtfully, "1 could go to the dress shop again, but everything is so expensive.” She pouted.

"What about the venue?" Penelope asked her. Lily smiled at her.

"Central Park is perfect! Right in front of the Christmas tree. Everyone in the city can see us get married. They can be involved, and it's already decorated.” She beamed. She looked over to Jayce who was smiling down at her. He reached over, caressing her cheek with his fingers gently. Soft sniffling sounded from the other side of her as she looked over and watched her father start to cry. "Damn, I didn't want to cry yet." He wiped his face. Lily felt her own tears come on and she hugged Nathan. He returned her embrace tightly.

"What's on the agenda for today?" Penelope asked her after she pulled away from her father.

"Oh, well. I'm not sure. To be honest, I've just been winging it so far." She half smiled. She finished her plate and started to add more.

"Hungry?" Jayce asked her with an amused cocked brow. She blushed, looking away as she recalled last night's activities. She was starving if she had to be honest. She didn't have the stomach to eat for so long, but today she finally had the appetite. She drank from her juice to avoid answering his question.

"With the looks of that second plate, she could almost be eating for two.” Penelope joked. Lily choked on her juice for a second. Her father patted her back as she recomposed herself. That answers that she knows, but how is it that Jayce doesn't?

"Has your stress been making you not eat again?" Jayce asked her concerned.

Thank God he was oblivious to that.

"Yeah, but now that most of it is being handled, it feels like I can breathe again.” She relaxed her shoulders. Jayce rested his large hand over hers, giving his very rare tender looks as he kissed her fingers.

"Then perhaps today you should get your dress.” He told her. She looked down at her plate.

"I'll call Erica. We can have a girls day.” She pulled out her phone and shot her the text. Just as she finished the text, a call came in:

Dr. Marshall

"Stephanie?" Lily asked as she picked up the call, excusing herself from the table.

"Good morning, Luna. I hope I'm not disturbing you at all.” She said.

"We're just having breakfast. Is everything okay?" She asked her.

"It turns out that our obstetricians are already on leave for the holidays. We do have substitutes in place, would you be okay with that until I can figure out a preferred doctor for you?"

Lily looked back toward the kitchen as she stepped into the living room. She picked Jayce's shirt off of the floor and the blanket before tossing them on the couch.

"That's fine. It's just to see my status, right?" She asked as she took a seat on the couch. She glanced outside to see light flurries. The wind howled outside the walls, whistling against the windowpane. "Yes, and I will be there with you. You can bring someone along if you wish. I know you don't want to say anything to the Alpha just yet." Stephanie offered

"Thank you, I will. When should I be at the hospital?”

"Can you come by late this morning? Say 10?" Lily checked her phone.

7:54AM

"Absolutely. I'll see you then.” She said before hanging up.

"Is everything okay?" Jayce's voice made her jump as he stood in the entryway to the livingroom. "Yeah, she just wanted to see me for a session today." She told him. He took a seat beside her, resting a hand on her thigh. His heat tickled her skin. The electric shocks she thought she had grown used to by now, rippled through her veins, making her gasp softly.

"Are you sure you're okay?" He asked, tucking her hair behind her ear. She leaned into his touch, her body heating up like the damn fireplace. She knew he felt it to, his nose flared at the scent of her arousal.

"Yeah. She wants to make sure I don't relapse with all the stress.” She told him as he leaned forward, his lightly stubbled cheek brushing against her face as he suddenly licked her ear. She bit her lip as he laid her back, slipping a hand beneath her shirt. She gasped as he pinched one of her nipples. "You'd tell me if you were, right?” He moaned into her ear. Her sex quivered at the delicious sound. Already her juices soaked her inner thighs, eagerly waiting for him. He kissed and sucked just below her ear, working her nipple between his knuckles.

"Jayce..." she moaned softly. He moved his hand away from her chest, and descended into the depths of her thighs. His fingers entered her without a second of hesitation. Her eyes darted to the doorway where she feared someone may walk in on them.

"Answer my question, love." He sucked on her neck a bit harder, curling his fingers slightly inside of her. Fuck, she didn't want him to stop. The fear of possibly getting caught sent shivers of excitement through her body. She wanted more. She needed more.

"Of course... I'd tell you." She panted, his fingers thrusting faster. She raised her hips, begging for his fingers to hit her deeper. Even when his fingers pushed further in, it still wasn't enough. She needed something longer and thicker to suppress this heat he started.

"Lily." He growled into her ear, his bulge pressing against her leg.

"Are you two finished?" A deep voice spoke up, startling Lily. She shoved Jayce off of her as she met eyes with Alpha Derek. He didn't look pleased. Jayce growled displeased as he sat up and Lily fixed her clothes.

"I have no privacy in my own home." He grumbled.

"Did you need something?" Lily asked him as Jayce seethed with annoyance.

"You have yet to convince me." He told her. Lily frowned, getting to her feet as he stepped up in front of her. She felt small, vulnerable and exposed. She knew her body was still releasing her pheromones, she can see it in Derek's face. Though his body was composed, his nose was flaring as he took her scent in. His eyes were hard, but she could see the slightest twitch in his jaw.

"She has nothing to convince.” Jayce stood up behind her, his bare chest pressing against her. He was attempting to shield her smell with his presence, but it wasn't doing him any good either. His bulge was pressing against her ass, urging to enter her.

"If she is to be my daughter-in-law, she does." Derek said sternly. Lily looked up at Derek as he loomed over her, but his eyes were on Jayce.

"It's getting a bit stuffy, isn't it?" Penelope chirped in, slipping her arm around Lily's shoulders and pulled her away from the Alphas. Lily let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding. "Have you heard from Erica?" She asked Lily as she got her a safe distance away from the men. Lily picked up her phone, but didn't see a message.

"She must be sleeping still. She'll message me later. I need to shower." Lily waved her hand in front of her face. Penelope pouted, touching her forehead.

"The heat from an Alpha can be overwhelming, I know." She winked at her. Lily blushed brightly, her heart racing in her chest. She hurried from the living room before her body could give herself away even more.

"Hey sweetie, you feeling okay?" Nathan called to her as she climbed the stairs. He looked worried with Elias standing beside him.

"Yes, I just need to shower. I'm sorry to ask you this dad, but would you be able to watch Elias while I go to my appointment?” She asked him. Elias and Nathan looked at one another for a moment. "Will that be okay with...?" He gestured with his head toward the living room. She could barely hear Jayce and Derek going back and forth.

"I'd feel better if Elias was with you.” She spoke honestly. Derek barely gave his youngest child a second glance since he got here. "I know Jayce would say the same thing.” Nathan looked back at Elias.

"Is that alright with you?" He asked him. Elias looked uncertain toward Lily, but she gave him a nod and an encouraging smile. He finally agreed, taking her father's hand.

"Can we go play in the snow?" He asked Lily.

"Of course you can. Dad, can you make sure to take a towel with you? He'll get soaked playing in the snow for so long. Oh, and make sure he gets out of his clothes first before he shifts. He's been through three sets of clothes already.” She informed him. Nathan chuckled at her.

"I've been through this before. Sort of. Come on.” He tugged on Nathan's hand as they went back into the kitchen. He has no idea what he's really in for. Now that they were distracted, she had another issue to deal with. One that was still streaking down her thighs.

She made a run to their bedroom, shutting the door behind herself and quickly undressed, tossing her clothes away before setting off for the shower. As she turned on the water, steam already dampening her skin, their bathroom door was thrown open and Jayce's massive form stood in the way. His eyes were already shifted, his claws sharp, ready to etch into her skin. His cock was in full swing. She backed up into the shower, the water poured down her body in rivers from above. He prowled toward her, his claws twitching. She stood under the water, his eyes burning her body even more than it already was.

"I'm not going to fuck myself.” She said to him. He smirked devilishly at her as he closed the gap between them, pinning her against the wall with his hand on her throat. She let out a soft gasp at his tight grip, but he loosened it quickly. The water rained down his body, leaving droplets on his tattoos. She leaned up, licking them off of his skin. She felt him shiver.

"Vixen." He growled, his guttural tone already took form. She leaned up on her toes, letting her tongue trail over his collar bone and up to his jaw. His cock pressed against her stomach, throbbing like the hot rod that it was.

"Fuck me." She told him, reaching up and grabbed his hair. He growled, his hand hitting the wall with too much force. Tiles broke off, clattering to the base of the shower. He turned his face away as his fangs revealed themselves.

"Lily." He groaned, fighting against his Wolf. She pulled on his hair to make him look at her. Her other hand grabbed his cock firmly. He growled, his eyes rolling a bit.

"Stop fighting. You won't hurt me.” She reminded him. It wasn't Jayce she was talking to though. His Wolf stared back hungrily. He turned her around to face the wall, his cock pressing against her lower back. His claws came back around, grasping her throat gently.

"Lily..." he growled into her hair. She parted her legs for him, ready to take him. The tip entered her and stopped. She moaned, pressing against him, but his other claws pressed against her back, restraining her. His growl rumbled in his chest, making her orgasm. Her legs trembled, but she refused to call quits.

"I need you." She moaned, and with those words, he thrusted in one go. She let out a scream, but God did it feel so good. He grabbed her hair, pulling her head back and kissed her hard. He pounded into her, not once letting up as he gradually increased his speed. She moaned against his lips, his claws digging into her throat slightly. Why was this so intoxicating to her? A powerful man was fucking her with inhuman strength and prowess. He made her drool. He made her cum repeatedly. He made her want him more than she'd ever wanted a lover before.

"I want to hear you scream again.” He bit her ear gently. She moaned loudly, her legs getting weaker from the intensity of his thrusts. She pushed him off, turning to face him. He reached down, hoisting her up until they were face to face with each other. Her back leaned against the wall as he shoved her back down on his cock. She screamed again, making Jayce howl. The wall behind her started to shake from his powerful thrusts. When she came again, her vision blurred for a second. His claws dug into her ass, stinging with pain. She felt the heat from his Mark sizzle to life, enveloping her body. She moaned out, looking into his eyes, but his eyes were down where their bodies connected. He was focused on the pleasure he was giving her. She leaned in and kissed him deeply, thrusting her tongue passed his lips. He moaned as she sucked on his tongue.

"Bite me.” He told her. She looked at him confused. With one hand supporting her ass, the other grabbed her head and placed it near his neck.

"I can't Mark you." She said to him.

"Bite me, Lily." He commanded. He brought the tip to the entrance, letting her sex ache for a moment before thrusting hard. She screamed out, lunging forward and biting his neck. He howled as they climaxed together. She felt every drop of him fill her sex to the brim. He held her head firmly in place after she bit him. His Wolf purred within her head, energy surging through her body. "Fuck." She let out a gasp as he pulled his cock out. Her eyes fell onto her bite, it already started to heal up until it stopped. Her teeth indentations stayed behind. He set her down, his head leaned against the wall above her, their eyes meeting. His eyes went back to normal, but they took on that glow she came to know so well. He caressed her cheek with his knuckles, his eyes wandering over her face.

"You're perfect, Lily." He said to her. She felt her cheeks flush, staring up at him. "I can't wait to marry you." He told her. She grabbed his hand, the urge to cry rising, but she forced it down.

"I love you so much, Jayce. More than I can possibly say.” She said. He leaned down, resting his forehead against hers. The presence of his Wolf seemed stronger now, deepening their bond.

The luminescent lights were practically blinding as she sat in one of the rooms. Erica was leaning against the wall, arms folded across her chest. Her Mark given to her by Damion had a green and gold glow to it, pulsing softly. Her hair had grown out a little long and she contemplated on getting it cut prior to the ceremony. Penelope, who Lily asked to tag along with the girl's day out, was sitting proper in one of the uncomfortable chairs, texting away on her phone as she normally did. "What if the test was actually a false positive and I'm not actually pregnant?” Lily asked them, getting off the examination bed. Erica put her hand up as Lily started to pace the room.

"Lily, I've been watching you. You're definitely pregnant.” She confirmed for her. Lily ran her fingers through her hair, her thoughts frantic. She was lucky that Jayce bought her lie this morning, but could she really keep this hidden from him for another week? Aside from that, he made her bite him. Not just that casual love bite that she's done. Full on bite where she surprisingly pierced his skin, and it didn't even heal all the way. Did she do something wrong? She thought humans couldn't Mark Werewolves that way since their teeth were not as strong as theirs. She knew the one being that had her answers, but she needed to wait until after the appointment to talk to him.

"Relax, darling. The more you stress, the more you stress the baby." Penelope chipped in without looking up from her phone. Lily groaned, pacing the room. Erica grabbed her shoulders firmly, forcing her to a stop.

"You're overthinking again.” She said to her. Lily looked up at her best friend, her maid of honor. Erica took a deep breath and Lily followed suit. "Good." She smiled at her. A soft knock came from the door before opening and Stephanie along with another She-Wolf in a white coat. Her long red hair was pulled back into a low ponytail.

"Hello, Luna Lily. I am Doctor Jones, I'll be filling in as your OB until your primary comes back from vacation.” She smiled at her.

"It's nice to meet you, and please, just Lily. I'm not really used to the title yet." She told her. Doctor Jones simply nodded before taking a clipboard from Stephanie.

"Let's see here..." she nodded as she read the clipboard and proceeded to give it back to Doctor Marshall, "Congratulations Lily, you are pregnant.” She smiled at her. Lily let out a breath, putting her face in her hands. The tension that built up in her shoulders evaporated and she started to cry. She heard the chair squeak against the white tiles and felt Penelope's slender hand rest on her back while Erica stood on the other side of her.

"Lay back, Lily. I need to check a few things with the baby.” Stephanie told her and Lily nodded, laying down on the bed. As she stood beside her, she placed both of her hands over Lily's stomach and shut her eyes,

"It appears here that you are currently four months along. You're well into the second trimester. I'll prescribe you the Prenatal vitamins and we'll start the follow up appointment in late January.” Doctor Jones continued as Stephanie glided her hands along Lily's scarred belly.

"Thank you. I'll take her paperwork.” Penelope insisted, but Doctor Jones hesitated, glancing toward Lily for confirmation.

"It's okay." Lily told her, her brows coming together as Stephanie pressed down uncomfortably. Doctor Jones nodded before handed the papers over to her.

"Congratulations again, Lily." She smiled before leaving them alone. Lily looked up at Stephanie as she was concentrating.

"Is everything okay?" She asked worriedly. Stephanie finally opened her eyes, looking down at her. The woman she had come to know through her therapy sessions looked perplexed.

"Yes, better than okay.” She stepped away so Lily could sit up. She turned to the other two women with them, “I need you both to swear that this information does not leave this room." She told them. Erica immediately nodded, but Penelope looked at Lily worriedly before nodding. Doctor Marshall looked at Lily head on, and what she dropped next bewildered them all.

"It's always been custom that a child receives their Wolf spirit at the age of three, sometimes a year or two later.” Stephanie told them.

"That's when they first shift.” Lily told her. She nodded to her.

"Exactly, before that the child is simply just human.” Stephanie looked down at Lily's belly, then back to her eyes, "Your child already has their Wolf spirit in tact."
