Fated to the Werewolf King

Chapter 23: Jayce

That woman still amazes him. After the speech she gave this morning, she was the talk of the city. Mostly good, some are still a bit confused and angry that it's a Human that turned out to be their Luna instead of a She-Wolf. They'll get over it in time after she shows them she can handle the position flawlessly. A few whispers reached him about her situation. Did they believe her? What proof did she offer? The only proof she had was currently covered up with makeup from his mother. No matter. Fate already decided things, and he'll flow with it.

"My King." Someone called to him, making his Wolf growl. He turned to see a short, round man approaching him, his hair thinning. He wore a business suit with a crimson sash strapped across.

A royal councilman, great.

"Mr. Helson, always a pleasure.” Jayce said distastefully. He reached his car when the councilman stopped him. Damion flanked the passenger side, looking displeased as well

"I was hoping to have a meeting with our future Luna.” He smiled up at him.

"Her day is booked." Jayce said bluntly, trying to leave.

"Perhaps you can arrange a time for her." He said to him. Jayce growled down at him.

"I will arrange nothing for her. Lily will enjoy today just like everyone else is. Now, if you excuse me.” He said, opening his car door, but Mr. Helson pushed the door shut.

"My King, it's important that she take her role seriously.” He said to him. He wasn't wrong, but Lily didn't need Jayce to ride her ass right now.

"If all you plan on doing today is running me down until I cave in, it won't work.” He lifted the corner of his lips in a snarl as he opened the door once more. Mr. Helson backed off a bit, but he didn't back down completely.

"Perhaps you should reject her as your Mate.” He suggested. Jayce slammed his door shut, turning toward the now shaking councilman.

So this is what it was truly about.

"I give you credit for having the balls to even say such a thing to me." Jayce towered over him. Mr. Helson stammered, but Jayce raised his hand to stop him. "I think you should re-evaluate a few things. Starting with your daughter who hired the man that violated my Mate.” He growled, letting his Wolf breach the surface. His claws sharpened, and he exposed his fangs.

"Beta Damion, get him to calm down.” Mr. Helson called over to him.

"Sorry, I'm overruled.” Damion called back before getting in the car. Jayce signaled security over to him as he sheathed his Wolf, adjusting his tie.

"See that Mr. Helson and his daughter are escorted out of the city.” He told them, a single finger turning into a claw as he reached over and sliced through the sash Mr. Helson wore

"Wait, your majesty!" He called after him as he got into the car.

Two headaches were out of the way.

"So, we'll have to start at the beginning with the parade...” Damion was already going over the list as Jayce drove off. The audacity of that man. Reject his Mate. Even if the option arose again, he'd slam it back down. He didn't think about it before, he didn't want to think of it now.

He drove carefully through the crowded streets; the sun rising higher into the sky. He slipped off his jacket and unbuttoned the first few buttons, and rolled up his sleeves. Food vendors lined the sidewalks with different varieties of food. His stomach growled. Aside from the coffee, he had eaten nothing since yesterday.

"Sounds like we'll be stopping for food first.” Damion commented, even though his eyes were on his notes. Jayce pulled into a parking lot, finding a spot near the back and stepped out. The heat hit him hard, making him grumble a bit. He couldn't wait for winter. To feel the snow beneath his paws and the cold in his fur.

"It's a lot more crowded than I expected.” Jayce said as they walked down the street with the food vendors. Different smells filled his nose, making his Wolf drool. He didn't know where to begin. "With Erica having thrown the invitation outside the community about the book signing, they lined the gates with cars as early as six this morning.” Damion told him. Jayce stepped up to a vendor that was offering ribs.

"I didn’t know it would blow up the way it did. I hope she's alright.” Jayce vocalized out loud as he paid for his food. Damion ordered the same and continued their walk. Civilians nodded to them as they passed, inclining their necks to him. Some even stopped him to ask about Lily.

"I'm afraid if you have questions, ask her personally.” He informed them. They looked at one another.

"That might be hard, then. The book store is swamped with people.” A man told him.

"There's a line wrapped around the block. Most of them are even in costume.” A woman said, looking curiously down the street.

In costume?

"She's referring to cosplayers.” Damion told him. Jayce still felt a little lost, but now he had an excuse.

"Perhaps we should check it out.” He said, changing direction to the bookstore. He caught Damion looking at him, "What?"

"You can just tell me you want to see her. I can relate, you know.” Damion said to him as he dug into his food. With Erica's temperament, it was difficult to see their connection, but from what he’s seen and heard, Damion was head over heels for the woman.

"I'm glad Lily has someone as strong as Erica in her life." Jayce said. Damion chuckled.

"You should hear her after they part for the day. I practically have to tie her down so she didn't trespass in the middle of the night.” He finished his food.

"She looks like the type of woman that likes to be tied down." Jayce joked, but Damion’s evasive eyes spoke the truth. "It's been a week."

"So? She isn't timid like some people.” Damion said. Jayce growled unexpectedly, "Shit, I didn't mean Lily.” Damion defended himself. Jayce sighed, rubbing his temples after he finished eating.

"I know. It was torture waiting so long to claim her. To feel her." He thought back to their lovemaking the other morning, and he grew hard instantly. It was worth the wait, though. "Do you think she'll change after Jasper is gone for good?" He asked, more to himself than anyone in particular.

"Well, from what Erica has told me about her, she's pretty energetic, a big bookworm, and a huge nerd, whatever that means." He slapped his Alpha's back. "Hey, she's your problem now." He chuckled. Jayce smirked at him as they kept walking.

The crowd had grown dense over the course of the morning when they finally could reach the bookstore. Jayce's eyes widened at the line that looped around, but what surprised him more was seeing people dressed in medieval attire. Armor cloaks, swords at their hips. Some even sported fake elf ears. How could people stand to dress this way in this heat?

"Wow, people went beyond what I was expecting.” Damion whistled as they followed the line down the block still. He groaned as it continued on.

"This is ridiculous.” He growled, turning and walked back toward the front of the store, where he noticed a security guard at the entrance. He inclined his neck and stepped aside for them.

Fuck waiting in a long ass line.

His eyes swooped over the crowd that filled the bookstore, some checking out reading material, while the others had lined up at the table near the back. His Wolf purred at the sound of her voice. He followed it, keeping to the side as to not draw too much attention his way, and reached around the back. Erica peered over at him out of the corner of her eyes, narrowing them at him, and shook her head slowly. Damion popped around the corner behind him and Jayce watched her eyes light up upon seeing him, but turned her attention back to the line before her. Jayce glanced around her to see Lily writing in one of her books as a fan leaned over eagerly. She looked up at the fan with a kind smile, but Jayce noticed the bags under her eyes.

"I'll be right back." Jayce told Damion before leaving the shop. He came back about half an hour longer than he wanted, sticking to the side of the shop until he was beside Damion again. Damion peered at his hands.

"Where's mine?" He asked.

"Get your own." He snarled at him before walking up behind Lily. The crowd let out gasps, making her look up, but her nose twitched slightly. He rested a cup of coffee on one side of her and a brownie on the other. Her eyes lit up when she saw the treats and gazed up at him, her smile brightening her face.

"Are you a mind reader?" She asked him as she took the coffee and sighed happily. His eyes went to Erica, who had her arms crossed.

"I'd like to steal Miss Thornstun, if that's alright?" He turned to the crowd in front of them. Lily had already taken a bite of the brownie.

"I can't leave them. I have more people to get through.” Lily argued, looking outside, her eyebrows rising, "This will take all day." She sighed, blowing her hair out of her face. Lily smiled up at Jayce. "I'll catch up with you later.” She said before turning back to the crowd and continued signing. Damion let out a chuckle nearby, but Jayce would not back down easily. He grabbed another chair and sat beside her. She blinked, looking over at him,

"If you won't join me, then I'll join you." He said stubbornly. She blinked before giggling. She passed over her brownie to him before returning to the line.

He watched as she engaged with his people and the outsiders that traveled from all over to see her. With the help of the coffee, she was more awake and a bit more lively than she was when he first arrived. She impressed Jayce with the effort her fans put into their cosplays, as Damion had told him earlier. He still didn't quite understand the concept, but everyone seemed pleased with their work, so he didn't question it further.

"Miss Thornstun, I mean Luna Lily, Alpha Jayce.” A young male stepped forward wearing what looked like armor that was deeply detailed, with engravings of a crest on the breastplate. His hair was slightly long and from a close enough inspection, it seemed paint that gave him a realistic beard. The look made him seem so much older than he did. Lily's eyes shined up at the gentleman. "Wow! You look amazing!" She squealed, getting to her feet. She moved around to the other side, looking the young man over from head to toe. "You captured his appeal completely. I love it!" She screamed, fully awake now. The young man smirked at her, pleased with his accomplishment. Jayce racked his brain a moment until he came to terms that the man before him dressed up as the male lead in her book.

"It's impressive." Jayce said, but he wasn't fully committed to the compliment. He wasn't enjoying Lily flattering the boy that seemed closer to her age than he was. Lily stopped circling the man before her eyes landed on his hip.

"Is that a sword?" She asked him. He nodded, looking a bit embarrassed. "May I see it?" She asked with her hand already outstretched. The man looked at Jayce for confirmation. He gave a stiff nod, and the man withdrew his sword, the blade ringing against the leather scabbard. Lily's eyes grew to the size of saucers as she held the sword in her hand. Jayce felt uneasy at first as she held it, but she looked so beautiful and powerful while holding it. It turned him on more than he expected.

"I tried to replicate it the best I could from the description you gave. It took me all summer to get it exactly how I pictured it.” The man told her, his chest puffed out with pride. Lily ran her fingers over the handle, mesmerized by the shimmering golden orb that decorated it. Her eyes trailed up the blade, running her fingers along it as she did.

"I can see the effort you put into it. The craftsmanship is flawless. It's well balanced too.” She weighed the hilt on her palm carefully. She spun the blade with her hand, listening to it whistle before steading it again, flipping the blade so it faced away from the man. "It's absolutely gorgeous. Well done.” She smiled at him. The man's face took on a shade of red as he carefully took the sword back. The tip nicked her finger slightly.

"Oh my God, are you okay?" He asked as he sheathed the blade and grabbed her hand unexpectedly. Lily blushed as she looked at the light red cut on her finger, blood bubbling on the surface.

"I'm fine. Really. I didn't handle the return properly.” She joked with him to ease the tension. Jayce rose to his feet, making his way around the table. The man quickly let her hand go when he stepped closer and took her hand.

"I'll help you clean it up.” Jayce said to her in a deep growl. He watched her tremble in response as he dragged her over to the other side of the store and took her into the family bathroom. He locked the door behind himself as she walked over to the sink to wash her finger.

"It's really not that bad. There's no need to fuss over it.” She said to him as she patted it dry. Jayce walked up behind her, his hands reaching around her waist, and kissed her neck. She moaned softly, covering her mouth. She pressed up against his pants where his cock awaited her.

"I have a sword you can play with." He whispered into her ear. He watched her bite her lip in the mirror, her hands resting on his as they sunk lower and lower. She spun around to face him, pushing him up against the wall. He growled down at her, but he didn't fight. Her hand rubbed the outside of his pants, gripping the shaft as it pressed against the fabric. She looked up into his eyes, a twinkle of mischief in them as she dropped to her knees and pulled his cock free. His hands went into her hair as her tongue swirled around the tip, flicking against the slit like it was a fucking lollipop. He growled, gripping her hair tightly as she took him in. He listened to her slurp and suck him until his knees threatened to give out beneath him. Of all the blow jobs he's ever received, Lily knew his weak spots right off the bat.

Her hands slid up to his thighs, gripping them as her lips pressed against his base, his cock throbbing in her constricted throat. He bit back a moan as his hips swayed against her mouth, holding her head in place. Her tongue lathered the underside until he let her head go and she pulled back to the tip with a soft gasp. She ran her tongue up and down his shaft, bringing him to the edge.

"Is everything okay, Lily?" Erica asked worriedly. Jayce looked at the door, worried that this enjoyment would end before he could finish, but Lily said something he wasn't expecting from her. "Sorry, the cut was deeper than we expected. He's healing it." She lied to Erica while her tongue licked around the base.

"Do you need to go to the hospital?" She asked. Jayce's eyes rolled back, his hands grabbing Lily's head and put her mouth back on the tip again. He fucked her mouth again.

"Almost done." He shouted to both of them. Lily sucked on the tip hard when he convulsed in her mouth. He held her head in place, releasing every drop he built up. Jayce panted, his eyes falling shut as he felt her mouth leave him. He opened his eyes to slits as he watched her swallow every bit. Her eyes met his as she got to her feet, stuffing him back in and zipped him up.

"Let me play again later.” She winked before going back to the mirror and fixing up her hair the best she could. It took everything in him not to pull her dress up and her panties down and fucking her in this bathroom. Instead, he recomposed himself and took her finger that was cut. He sucked on her finger, holding her gaze as he did. She moaned softly as she watched him suck and lick her finger until the wound healed up. He scented her arousal between her legs, feeling himself harden again. Jayce held her against him, slipping his hand beneath her skirt and surprised himself with her soaked panties. He watched her hold his gaze as she bent down slightly, reaching beneath her dress and pulled off her panties. She bundled them up and stuffed them into his front pocket.

"That should tidy you over until we get home tonight.” She said to him before leaving a teasing peck on his lips and stepped out again. Jayce watched after her, unsure of what he had just got himself into, but he couldn't wait to get home that night.
