Fated is overrated

Chapter 99

Lola

POV

So far the day has been a lot better than I would have expected. Although I always find it hard to impossible to forgive, their story about their sister was touching, and I can see where the hatred and suspicion towards rogues comes from. The swim was nice, we even

had a few playful moments if you would believe.

Never in my life did I think I would be able to see a playful and actually nice side of them, they seem to be the complete opposite of what they were 2 years ago. Although I like their new side, I can't help but think that they are only being nice because I am their mate now, and it still stings a bit somewhere. That being said, the moon goddess sure made her time sculpting them, damn.

Although I don't intend to be their mate, I have to say I have never seen such flawless bodies. Their frames are huge to begin with, filled with muscles everywhere. Big arms, perfectly toned abs, strong thick legs, damn.

Having seen a better side to their personalities now, I can definitely see why women would throw themselves at them, although the thought of it irks me. Stupid mate bond.

Liberty growls lowly in my mind, thinking about women throwing themselves at her mates too. Although she was in on the rejection back then, she has also enjoyed the softer side to our mates today.

'What can I say, they have grown on me. Their wolves Lex and Lance have also apologized profusely all day' she beams. 'I still don't like them' Justice grumbles. Justice isn't technically their mate, so she doesn't feel the mate bond. And she is very fond of Nick, as am 1. Visit Job n i b.com to read the complete chapters for free. We stop outside a small diner, not a place where I would imagine the royal princes go to, but here we are. The place looks really cute with their red barstools and red booths, a real all American diner. When we enter, a red headed woman wearing the diner uniform comes to greet us. As she looks up and spots the twins, she gasps and immediately puts on her biggest, brightest smile.

"Welcome... Princes. How may I be of service?" she beams. Her mouth is practically drooling, and I try hard to not roll my eyes. "Table for 3 in the back please" Zeke replies, and at the mention of 3 she glances over to me.

Her facial expression morphs into pure disgust, and I hear both my girls growling at the disrespect. Zeke clears his throat, and she plasters a smile back on and says, "Sure thing, your Highnesses! Follow me please", and we follow after her towards a room in the back. "What can I get you to drink, your highnesses?".

Zeke motions to me with a smile and replies " ladies first". I can see the annoyance on her face but I don't give a f*ck. I am here out of obligation to get my books, I remind myself.

"I'll have a coke please" I reply to her sweetly. Kill them with kindness. And if that doesn't work, poison works like a charm too (just kidding).

"Hmhm" she just replies, not even looking at me, before she addresses Zeke and Zane again. After they order their drinks she hands us all our menus.

Well, mine she plumps on the table, and Zeke and Zane's she hands over gracefully, of course. Resting both her hands on either of their shoulders, she says in a sickly sweet voice "if you need anything, anything at all..." she drawls out "let me know.

I'm happy to be of service". While neither are making an attempt to shrug off her hands I can't stifle my laugh now, as I reply to her "I'm sure you do" with a fake smile on my face, and looking her dead in the eye.

Her face scrunches up in disgust when glancing at me briefly, before putting up her nice girl act again for the twins. Zeke looks at me and scolds me "Lola, there's no need to be rude". Wow. Is he kidding me right now? T

hey drove me off 2 years ago and now I am the one being rude for calling out a woman who is hitting on another woman's mates - in front of her!

Not that I care about who they f*ck with, I rejected them. I care about the blatant disrespect towards me. Both my girls are growling lowly in my head again, at both the girl as well as Zeke and Zane.

"I disagree" is all I reply, before opening up my menu and tuning them all out. Only a few more hours and I am done with this. To think I was actually beginning to like them as people...

I am going over the menu looking through the numerous choices they have and all of them are normal foods as I like them - not some stuck up gross sh*t like caviar or something else.

Which, quite frankly, I was expecting from them. As I look up they both have the menu shut already and are staring at me unabashedly. As I look around a little I can tell everyone else in the diner is staring at me as well. Some with a hint of curiosity, others with clear dismay.

I don't like being the center of attention at all, but especially the condescending looks I am receiving are getting on my last nerves. One of them of course being the servant girl from earlier, sending death glares my way. I have gotten skilled at hiding my scent in the past 2 years, so they probably think I don't have a wolf and am an easy target to pick on. But, I don't bode well with such people.

I stare back at them, indicating my displeasure with their attention on me and giving them a warning glare. Some seem to get the hint, the servant and a group of girls clearly don't and their eyes even darken at my challenge. I smirk to myself. 'Let's give them a little show, shall we?' I ask my girls.

They both snicker in return before we turn our eyes ablaze, having flames doing a little victory dance in them. Their darkened eyes quickly turn to fear and they scurry back behind their menus as if nothing happened.

Liberty and Justice are still snickering in my head, and I can't help but snicker with them. In the past I would have let stuff like this slide, but I have learned the hard way that attitudes like this don't just die down. And I am not that girl anymore. I am ready to teach those who deserve it a lesson.
