Falling For My Mysterious Wife By Cassidy Alfaro Free Chapter 20
Chapter 20
In Theodore’s car, Elaina received a call from Andrew. “The Halton Group is cooperating with the Dunston Group.”
“The Dunston Group?” Elaina was slightly stunned and wondered if it was the same Dunston Group she was thinking of.
“Yes, the Dunston Group seems to have a deep relationship with Jalen. Almost everyone in New York knows that the Dunston
family is backed by Jalen, so the group is doing well these years.”
After that, Andrew asked doubtfully, “Why did you ask me to investigate this? Did Jalen make you unhappy again?”
“No. I was just curious about why he suddenly canceled the cooperation with the Gansburg Group,” Elaina
said.
“Alright. If he provoked you again, remember to tell me. I will beat him up.” Elaina had wasted two years on
Jalen. Andrew couldn’t stand that.
Hearing this, Elaina smiled. “Thanks, Andrew.”
After hanging up the phone, Elaina looked out of the car window. Sometimes, she thought that she was really
lucky.
Although she was an orphan, Elaina was raised by her grandfather with great care, and she had two brothers
who loved her very much. So she was very satisfied with her current life.
“The woman who was with Jalen just now is from the Dunston family, right?” Theodore suddenly asked and
looked at Elaina who was sitting in the passenger seat.
“Probably.” Elaina nodded.
Other than Marie’s family, Elaina could not think of any other Dunston family.
“It seems that Jalen has already planned to replace the Gansburg family. It was just a coincidence that
Jenica had just spoken ill of Jalen and then lost cooperation with the Halton family.” Even if Jenica did not
speak ill of Jalen behind his back, the Gansburg family would still be replaced.
Elaina nodded with her face darkened. “That’s right. I thought that the Halton Group would continue working
with the Gansburg family if I was willing to apologize to Jalen.”
Now Elaina thought that it was really ridiculous.
Seeing that she was not happy, Theodore did not mention Jalen anymore and changed the topic. “There is a
charity banquet tomorrow night. Are you free?”
“You want me to go with you?” Elaina asked.
“Yes, I need a female companion,” he said.
Elaina covered her mouth and laughed, “Sure, but Theodore, you should find a girlfriend. I can’t be with your

every time.”

“Yes, I will,” Theodore said perfunctorily, but he couldn’t help but look at Elaina from the corner of his eyes.

After Jalen sent Marie home, he returned to the company to work.
However, when he looked at the documents in front of him, he could not help but think of Elaina.
Her voice echoed in his mind. The more he thought about it, the more Jalen felt that her voice was very similar to the one he had
heard at the door of the Halton’s house that day.
Just then, Graham knocked on the door and came in.
“What’s up?” he asked, temporarily suppressing the doubts.
“You asked me to find your ex-wife and give her a house in the west of the city. But...” Graham hesitated, not daring to continue.
“But what? She’s not satisfied with it?” Jalen looked up at Graham with displeasure in his eyes.
“No. I didn’t find your ex-wife.” Graham lowered his head, not daring to look into Jalen’s eyes.
“You didn’t find her? Graham, I’m very dissatisfied with your recent performance,” Jalen said with a frown.
It was fine if Graham couldn’t find Dr. Gainsford, but now he couldn’t even find a woman from the countryside. Jalen didn’t know
why he let Graham stay with him.
Graham bowed apologetically. His back was covered in a cold sweat as he admitted, “It’s my fault. I’ll take all the blame.”
A cold light flashed in Jalen’s eyes as he said, “Continue to check it. I don’t believe that a country woman like her will disappear.”
Jalen was already dissatisfied when Graham could not find any detailed information about Dr. Gainsford, but that made sense
because Dr. Gainsford was famous. However, Graham didn’t even find Jalen’s ex-wife, which Jalen found unacceptable.
“Alright, I will definitely find her.” Graham hurriedly nodded.
Graham breathed a sigh of relief and said, “There will be a charity banquet tomorrow night. Do you want to attend?”
