Falling For My Mysterious Wife by Cassidy Alfaro

Chapter 464

Chapter 464
In the hospital, just as Elaina arrived at the office, someone knocked on her office door before she could go the rounds of the
wards.
Elaina was a little surprised when she saw the person.
"Dr. Gainsford." Rylie walked in with an awkward smile. Rylie didn't know how to face Elaina, but for her grandfather, even if she
felt so embarrassed, she had to bite the bullet and go.
Elaina sat in the chair and watched Rylie walk up to her. ’Ms. Covile, is there anything?"
Elaina thought, could it be that Rylie is unwilling because Jalen broke up with her, and she came to find trouble with me?
It was not Elaina's fault for thinking this way, but it was that every time a woman related to Jalen came to Elaina, there couldn't
be anything nice.
"Yes." Rylie nodded and sat down opposite Elaina.
Elaina did not speak, waiting for Rylie.
Rylie fell silent as if she did not know how to speak. Rylie just felt so embarrassed. After all, she and Jalen were boyfriend and
girlfriend before, although it was fake...
"Dr. Gainsford, have you and Jalen reconciled?" Rylie couldn't help but ask. She felt that she had been away for a while. Jalen
should have explained it to Elaina, right?
Elaina frowned. She saw Rylie's serious look just now and thought that she had something serious to talk to her about. She
didn't expect it to be because of Jalen.
"Ms. Covile, if you came just to say this, then you can go. Work time, no chat." After that, Elaina pointed to the door and
motioned for Rylie to leave. Rylie was embarrassed, but she still braced herself and continued, "I'm sorry, that's not what I
meant. I came here today because I want you to help me."
"Then just say it."
"Okay." Rylie nodded. She had a rough idea of Elaina's personality.

'Actually, I came today to invite you to Boston to perform an operation for my grandpa." As she spoke, she had already handed
Josh's case report to Elaina.
Unfortunately, Elaina did not reach out to take it. She looked at Rylie with interest, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. "Ms.
Covile, the famous doctors in Boston are not worse than me. Why do you need to do something unnecessary?"
"I have looked for them. They all said that there is no need for surgery considering my grandpa's situation, but I don’t want to
give up like this." Rylie could not accept her grandfather's death, so even if there was only a chance of survival, she had to give it
her all.
It had to be said that Rylie's words made Elaina look at her more highly. After all, Rylie was a filial child.
Seeing this, Elaina took the report and looked at it.
Soon, she finished reading the case and her face was unusually heavy. "Ms. Covile, there is no need for surgery in your
grandpa’s condition."
"But..." Rylie felt an unspeakable sadness in her heart. She had thought that she would receive a different treatment from Elaina.
As if seeing what Rylie was thinking, Elaina smiled and said, "I'm no different from other doctors. You think too highly of me."
"Is there really no chance at all?" Rylie refused to give up. She didn't know if it was her illusion, but she saw a smile in Elaina's
eyes. She felt that Elaina had a way.
Elaina did not say anything. She looked through the case record again. It was unknown what she was thinking.
Seeing her like this, Rylie was even more certain that she had not guessed wrong. "Dr. Gainsford, please save my grandpa. As
long as you can save my grandpa, I am willing to do anything for you."
Seeing that she was about to kneel down to herself, Elaina was shocked. She quickly stood up and stopped Rylie. "Don't be so
agitated now. I am only providing a choice. As for how to choose, it will depend on yourself."
