Fall for You After Divorce

Chapter 15

Chapter 15
Sammy quickly shook his head. “I was just joking, Ms. Schneider, please be generous... Don’t be angry with me...”
Saying that, Sammy even started to slap himself.
Briana looked at him with an icy face and no emotion in her eyes.
Only when Sammy’s face reddened did Briana calmly retract her foot, turn around, and leave.
Sammy’s originally scared eyes instantly turned sinister, staring at Briana’s back.
He would not forget what had happened today, and he would definitely not let Briana go.
Seeing Briana leave, Maxim turned around and went upstairs.
His expression was indifferent, but he was suspicious of Briana.
Perhaps it was time to ask Rayan to investigate Briana.
All Maxim had known about Briana before was that she was the Schneider family’s daughter who had been lost for sixteen years
and was Kiley’s twin sister.
They had been married for three years, and she had done her best to take care of him, not much different from an ordinary
woman, but today she really amazed him.
Brycen was also shocked, turning his head to Maxim and saying, “Maxim, just now Briana beat up Sammy. Sammy is vindictive,
so he will definitely make trouble for Briana. Are you not going to meddle?”
Maxim looked cool. “She didn’t ask for my help, so why should I meddle?”
“She’s your wife anyway.”
Maxim’s face turned even colder as he said frostily, “Maybe not after a while.”
A flash of surprise flashed in Brycen’s eyes. “You’re planning on divorcing Briana and getting back together with Kiley?”

Maxim didn’t say anything. Brycen took it as an admission and continued, “You’ve liked Kiley from the beginning. Divorcing will
be good for both you and Briana.”
“Briana brought up the divorce.”
Brycen was really astonished. After all, the two had been married for three years. Everyone could see how Briana loved Maxim.
Brycen could not believe Briana had proposed divorce.
“Are you sure? Then what are you hesitating about? Could it be that she asked for too much money?”
Maxim was getting more and more annoyed by Brycen’s words and coldly cast him a glance. “Are you idle? Did you settle that
actress’s matter?”
Brycen was speechless.
The two walked into the private room. Oliver and Tyrone were already waiting there.
Seeing Maxim’s gloomy face, Oliver asked, “Maxim, why do you look so upset?”
Maxim didn’t say anything, while Brycen behind him said with a teasing face, “Because Briana wants to divorce him, so don’t
ask.”
Oliver froze for a moment and then said, “One should be happy during meals. Don’t think about unhappy things.”
They were not optimistic about Maxim and Briana’s marriage, especially when Kiley was back in the country.
No one noticed that Tyrone, who had been keeping his eyes downcast silently, was unconsciously tightening his grip on the
water glass.
After they finished eating, Oliver and Brycen suggested going to Crown Club for drinks.
“You guys go ahead. I have things to do tonight.”
Maxim left, and Tyrone then said he had something to do at home.
Oliver looked at Brycen. “They all have things to do. How about we go to a bar for a drink?”
Brycen smiled and shook his head. “I’m meeting my girlfriend. Go by yourself.”

Oliver fell silent.
After a few seconds, he looked at Brycen. “You’re really fast. Your girlfriend is not an actress this time, is she?”
“No. I’ll bring her over to you guys next time.”
“Are you serious?”
“I’ve always been serious about my relationships.”
Oliver rolled his eyes. “Alright, just go. I’m going home. That’s too boring!”

As Maxim returned to the villa, it was already past nine in the evening.
When he walked into the villa, he saw Briana carrying a bag with the intention of leaving.
She had already changed into sportswear, and her long hair was tied into a ponytail. She looked brisk and pretty.
“Where are you going at this hour?”
Briana didn’t expect Maxim to come back at this time. After a brief moment of surprise, she said with a calm look, “Something’s
come up. I may not be back for the next few days.”
Maxim yanked her hand and stared at her with an icy expression. “Briana, don’t forget that you’re a married woman! You’re not
allowed to go out at this hour, no matter what’s going on!”
Briana impatiently shook off his hand. “What does it have to do with you? You used to be away from home for a dozen days. Just
because I agreed to come back to the villa doesn’t mean you can interfere in my private life!”
She looked down at her watch. It was almost the time she had agreed with Vulture.
“I won’t let you out until you tell me exactly what you’re going out for.”
Briana looked up into his eyes and said slowly, “Get out of the way!”
Maxim didn’t say anything, and his cold eyes locked with hers.

He saw Briana’s fighting skills today. Although she was very skillful, he thought he would not lose to her.
If she made a move, he could just question her about when she had learned martial arts.
Briana looked at him expressionlessly, and Maxim was about to speak when he heard a small sound.
He frowned and was puzzled when Briana suddenly started counting down.
“There.
“Two.
“One.”
As Briana said the last number, Maxim lost consciousness.
Briana dragged Maxim to the couch, turned, and left without looking back.
It was the next morning when he woke up.
Maxim rubbed his temples and suddenly remembered something. His sharp eyes opened and looked around, but he didn’t see
Briana and unconsciously frowned.
He immediately made a call to Rayan. “Immediately go and find out where Briana is now.”
At this moment, in the tropical rainforest.
A group of people were hurrying toward the deeper rainforest.
There were about a dozen of them wearing camouflage uniforms, and everyone had injuries of varying degrees, yet none of
them had fallen behind, so it was evident that they were a well-trained team.
The man at the head led the team to a river and said in Gabalian to the people behind him, “We’ll be safe after crossing this
river.”
As soon as the words came out, a gunshot suddenly rang out in the distance before the crowd could breathe a sigh of relief.
A bullet hit the leader right between his eyebrows.

As the man fell to the ground, gunshots continued to ring out around them, and only five of the dozen or so people were still alive
instantly.
“Quickly jump into the river!”
These people plunged into the river, and it became muddy.
Briana didn’t move at all, staring intently at the river like a statue.
Just at that moment, Vulture’s low voice came from the headset. “Iris, the main task this time is to kill Scorpion. The remaining
guys are just nobodies. They can’t become a threat. Prepare for a retreat.”
Briana frowned. Her principle was not to set the stage for any trouble, but since the commander of this mission was Vulture, she
had to agree to retreat.
She put away her gun, turned around, and was about to leave when Vulture’s anxious voice suddenly came from her headset.
“Watch out!”
Briana also sensed the danger, and she fell violently to the side. A bullet grazed her cheek and flew past, instantly leaving a cut.
She turned and fired a shot at where the bullet had come from, so fast that the opponent fell to the ground with wide eyes and
died before he could fire a second shot.
A whistle came over the headset, along with Vulture’s undisguised appreciation.
“Great, Iris. You’re as fast as ever!”
Briana’s voice was clear and cold. “I have things to do. Just credit my account with the commission.”
After saying that, she simply cut off the communication with Vulture.

Maxim had people investigate Briana for three days, but they didn’t even find out where Briana had gone.
During these three days, he looked very cold, and everyone in the company didn’t dare to come up to him.
“Mr. Yoder, this is the information I found about Ms. Schneider...”

Maxim took the document and flipped it open to take a look. It was no different from what he had found out in the past.
He slammed the document on the table angrily. “Is this the result of your three days of investigation?”
