Fall for You After Divorce by Callie

Chapter 54

Chapter 54
Today, he wore a casual outfit, which was completely different from his usual formal attire. However, he still exuded an aura of
aloofness that kept people at a distance.
Briana and he exchanged a glance, calmly withdrawing their gazes.
The butler of Harmony Villa, Claire, saw Briana and smiled kindly, “Mrs. Briana Yoder has arrived. Mrs. Norma Yoder has been
waiting for you for a long time.”
Claire has always been by Norma’s side taking care of her. Now they say they are master and servant, but in reality, their
relationship is more like sisters.
Briana smiled and handed over the pastry in her hand.
“Claire, this is your favorite doughnut, bought from your favorite shop, and also the cheesecake that Grandma likes.”
Claire took the doughnut and said with a smile, “Thank you, Mrs. Briana Yoder. I will plate it and take it to Mrs. Norma Yoder to
taste. She has been craving for this for a long time.”
“Okay, I’ll go see Grandma first.”
When I walked into the living room, Norma was instructing the maid to place Briana’s favorite snacks on the table.
“Briana loved to eat watermelon candies. Place them at the forefront, along with the small cookies...”
Briana couldn’t help but smile. Norma still treated her like a child.
“Grandma, you’ve prepared so much, how can I finish it all by myself?”
Norma turned around in surprise and said, “Briana, you’re here! If you can’t finish it later, I’ll have them pack it for you to take
home and eat slowly.”
Briana walked up to Norma and took her hand, smiling. She said, “Don’t rush, let’s sit down and have a chat.”
“Good!”

As soon as they sat down, Norma quickly sized up Briana and noticed that her chin had become slightly sharper since the last
time she saw her, a hint of concern flickering in her eyes.
“How come you’ve lost weight again? I heard from Maxim that you found a job. If it’s too tiring, don’t do it anymore. Maxim carns
enough to support you. At worst, I still have some savings. I’ll give them all to you!”
Briana shook her head and said, “Not tired, anyway there’s nothing to do at home.”
Seeing her persistence, Norma also didn’t continue to persuade her. “Alright, if you feel tired, then quit. Don’t make yourself too
exhausted.”
“Well, I knew it!”
During their conversation, Maxim walked into the living room and sat down across from the two of them.
Although he didn’t interrupt their conversation, his mere presence by their side was impossible to ignore.
Norma also noticed that after Maxim entered the living room, the smile on Briana’s face faded slightly.
Having lived for so many years, she could easily tell that the two of them had been arguing.
“Maxim, I just had the servant juice in the kitchen. Go and see why it hasn’t been brought over yet.”
After Maxim left, Norma looked at Briana and said, “Briana, what happened between you tivo? Did Maxim bully you?”
Briana didn’t expect Norma to be so perceptive and smiled, saying, “No, don’t worry.”
“If Maxim bullies you, just tell me, I will definitely not spare him!”
“Well, I knew you were always the best to me.”
Soon, Maxim came back holding a juice. After putting the juice on the table, he looked at Norma and said, “I went to the study to
handle some documents.”
Norma glanced at him and said irritably, “What are you telling me? Tell your wife!”
He was so blind that no wonder Briana would argue with him.

Noticing Maxim’s gaze on her, Briana lowered her eyes and softly said, “Mr. Yoder, my grandmother was just joking. You can go
and attend to your tasks, don’t worry about me.”
Noticing her indifference towards him, Maxim’s eyes flashed with a hint of coldness. He didn’t say anything more and turned
around to leave.
Norma turned her head to Briana only after Maxim’s figure
disappeared from sight and asked, “Briana, when do you and Maxim plan to have children?”
