Chapter 5 - Fiancé engaged since childhood
Jane laughed: "Who cares about your dirty money!"
Venus didn't get angry, he just got more and more sober.
She didn't want to see him again.
"Okay, sign it, and from now on we are strangers."
Darcel read the divorce papers at a glance, and Venus had already signed them at the bottom of the drop pen.
The agreement does state in black and white that she does not want any property compensation.
Darcel sneered.
He took out his pen and wrote his name without hesitation, his handwriting rigid.
"Venus, don't you regret it."
Venus put away one of the copies with a bemused look, "Let's go, go to the Civil Affairs Bureau now."
Jane drove with her, while Darcel drove alone behind.
He clutched the steering wheel.
Never thought the day would come when Venus would be the one to initiate the divorce.
Darcel sneered disdainfully, sooner or later, she will have to leave, and I hope she won't regret it on the day she goes to court!
There were not many people at the Civil Affairs Bureau in the afternoon to do the divorce, and soon it was their turn.
Darcel looked at her calm face and gaze and narrowed his eyes, "Thought it through?"
"Hmm."
Venus locked eyes with him and gave a soft chop.
Darcel nodded twice: "Good!"
The process was quick and the two divorce certificates arrived.
Venus stared down, disappointed and relieved.
The scene when she first saw him vaguely appeared before her eyes.
At the banquet, he was invited to play the piano on stage wearing a white suit, the piano was snow white and expensive, and he was even more elegant and handsome with an extraordinary temperament. A dream, it's time to wake up.......
Darcel spoke indifferently: "Don't think you can get a divorce and be done with it, the Reyes won't spare a murderer."
She sniffed and stiffened as a gust of wind blew through, cold.
"You hit Rosa and caused her to almost miscarry, but if you have any conscience, you should apologize to Rosa."
Venus sneered and laughed, her slap wasn't even that hard.
"I'm waiting for you the Reyes to sue me." Finally, she spat out the words coldly.
Darcel didn't bother to waste time with her and simply turned around and left.
Venus laughs to himself, he should be happy that Orion died and got rid of the snake hearted her, finally have a chance to be with Rosa.
But his business is no longer her concern.
It's just that after three years of aggravation and trauma, she won't just let it go!
Jane saw the divorce certificate and showed the joyfulness vividly on her face: "Congratulations on getting out of the abyss, let's go to the bar tonight and get high?"
"No, I want to get a good night's sleep."
Darcel never drives fast, but this time he accelerated all the way.
He eventually pulled over to the side of the road and lit a cigarette.
Venus used to be very meek and pleasing to the Reyes, and was even more infatuated with him.
But she killed Orion, and those of the past, the contrast between the two days is more proof that she is a woman who is not what she seems.
Darcel lowered the window and threw the cigarette butt hard into the trash can.
A murderer, she doesn't deserve it!
After the Reyes' funeral, Eric is relieved to learn that Darcel and Venus are divorced and urges Darcel to keep his lawyer on his toes.
Venus was persuaded by his parents to sleep through most of the night and slept until dusk.
She sat up drowsily.
Jane was coming upstairs and took a red dress from the checkroom: "Change quickly, your aunt and uncle are waiting for you to have dinner."
Venus looked at the dress in surprise and then raised his eyebrows at her.
Jane touched the tip of her nose: "Auntie explained, so you must wear a good-looking point."
"A guest?"
"Well, it's Luke ."
Venus was startled and scratched his head frantically, "How come Mom and Dad haven't given up yet!"
Luke Thompson, the eldest son of the Thompson family, was also her parents' fiancé when she was a child.
