Ex Husband Goes Money Comes Chapter 489

Chapter 489 Interrogation “You planned to kill Viola?”
Ronian didn’t believe it and loosened his grip.
Being pinched by Ronian, Jerry’s face turned pale, and he breathed harder. But he
continued to answer without any guilt, “Ronian, you have not experienced extreme
despair. For me, as long as Ormand dies, I don’t care whatever it will cost me.”
“I loved Viola so much, but she directly ran away with Ormand on the day of the
wedding. People laughed at me. I can’t forgive her.”
“They love each other, and they can be a couple after they go to hell!”
There was a scary smile on his face.
Ronian raised his eyebrows. He saw Jerry’s look and withdrew his hand. “You are really
a crazy man. You’re twisted and sick. But this is good.”
Jerry endured the pain in his throat and coughed lightly without any expression.
Ronian stroked his neck with the back of his hand. There were already some red marks
on the place he had pinched just now. Ronian’s tone became soft.
“You have finished toasting, and there is nothing for you to do in the garden. Go back to
your room and rest.”
“Got it, Ronian.”
Ronian looked away and left.
He went back and joined the bustle in the garden, where he couldn’t see Jerry anymore.
Only then did Jerry carefully let out a sigh of relief.

He took out an unopened packet of powder from his pocket and clenched it.
Not long after Ronian left, viola bypassed everyone in the garden and came over to
Jerry.
They smiled at each other.
Ronian, who had just returned to the banquet hall, was stopped by Dewey who had just
got there.
“Mr. Felton, something happened.”
Dewey looked horrible. He leaned close to Ronian and whispered, “Mr. Felton, the key to
the top floor is gone. Before the banquet began, only Jerry had got close to me.”
Ronian’s face gradually changed. His beautiful eyes were filled with anger. He gritted his
teeth and growled, “Jerry Felton!”
He turned around and was about to walk into the villa when he was stopped by Dewey.
“Mr. Felton, don’t be angry. This is just my suspicion. There are so many guests tonight.
It is not good to let them know about the top floor. Mr. Hobson is here, and we may
cause a stir.”
Ronian’s rage didn’t last long. He looked calm quickly.
He handed his key to the top floor to Dewey and instructed calmly, “Don’t tell anyone.
Find a chance to go up to the top floor and check if there’s anything lost.”
“Sure.”
Dewey turned and followed Ronian’s order.

Ronian said to two bodyguards. “Go upstairs and keep an eye on Jerry. Don’t let him
leave the room.”
Jerry, who had just returned to the room, was pacing back and forth uneasily.
He had given the thing to viola. He was looking for a chance to return the key to the top
floor to Dewey.
He observed the situation in the garden from time to time, and when he wanted to leave
the room, he found two bodyguards outside his door.
“What are you doing here?”
The two bodyguards respectfully replied, “Mr. Felton said you’re not feeling well. Please
stay in the room and have a rest.”
“I’ve rested, and I’m fine now. Tonight is my welcoming banquet. I’ll go down to greet the
guests with Ronian.”
The bodyguard looked determined. “No. Mr. Felton said that you can’t leave the room.
After the banquet ends, he will come to see you.”
No matter what he said, these two bodyguards were so stubborn and didn’t let him out.
Jerry suppressed his anger and slammed the door shut, isolating himself from the two
annoying bodyguards.
He wondered, Ronian is confining me. Could it be that I have been exposed?
He felt his trouser pocket. The key he had stolen from Dewey was still there.
He thought Ronian would definitely come to him and do a body search as well as a room

search when the banquet was over.
He turned off the lights and hid in the darkness. He quietly threw the key down from the
window.
The key just fell into the grass of the garden.
Someone walked by and accidentally stepped the key into the soil. It only revealed half
of the golden edge with the main body covered tightly by the lawn.
At ten thirty in the evening, the banquet ended.
The guests left in succession.
Viola and Ormand also left the Felton’s place with the guests.
“Ormand, look.”
Viola didn’t take out two things from her bag until their luxury car drove far away from the
Felton’s home.
They were a thumb-sized transparent potion and a little larger paper packet of powder.
Ormand took the potion and examined it with a serious look. “We must be quick. Send
the potion to the War Lab tonight and ask Kolby to test it.”
Viola nodded and handed over another packet of powder. “Take a look at this.”
“What is this?”
“It is the poison Ronian gave him. Ronian wanted to kill you tonight.”
Ormand said, “Do you know what kind of medicine it is?”
Viola shook her head. “It was so urgent that he didn’t have time to say it. If we find that

potion really harmful after we test it, we can use it and this packet of powder as evidence
to put Ronian into jail. He couldn’t get away.”
Ormand continued with a serious face, “Now that he gave you the powder, Ronian would
know Jerry didn’t follow his order, and Ronian wouldn’t let Jerry go.”
“Don’t worry. He did add something to the wine in front of Roman.”
Ormand was curious, “what did he add?”
Viola burst out laughing and flicked his forehead. “Are there any problems with your
taste? He added some salt. You didn’t taste it?”
Ormand didn’t know what to say. He thought he was so stupid.
“I think these things will be over soon,” Viola said as she rubbed the packet.
Ormand hugged her and kissed her on the forehead.
Half an hour later, Kolby, who had just slept, was woken up overnight. He rushed to the
laboratory to work overtime.
“Ormand, as we don’t know the name of the drug, I can only test the ingredients slowly
and match them in the database. This requires a lot of time. I’m afraid I’ll get the result
only before noon tomorrow. Why don’t you go back first? You don’t have to wait here.”
Since he had said so, Ormand decided to listen to him without hesitation. He and Viola
left the laboratory and went home to sleep.
At midnight.
The Felton’s house was bright with lights on, and the servants and bodyguards were

nervous.
In the hall, the sound of caning kept going on in the dark night, which was horrifying.
Konner and Jennifer were trembling with fear. They stood obediently by the pillar of the
hall, scared. They were shivering.
In the corner, there were two broken dark yellow canes.
Jerry knelt on the cold floor, shaking slightly. His head was full of cold sweat, and he
turned pale.
He wore a white shirt whose back was stained with blood.
He was overwhelmed by continuous pain. But he clenched his fists and endured silently.
Ronian was standing right next to him, holding a shiny and slippery cane. He mercilessly
kept lashing at that injured body.
Crack!
Every time Ronian beat him, Ronian would use his full strength to vent his rage. There
was burning anger in Ronian’s eyes.
“Tell me where the key is! Did you steal the thing on the top floor? Where did you hide
it?”
