Ex-Husband Goes Money Comes By Yvone Zabielski Chapter 78

Chapter 78 You Never Change

“You noticed it."

The man was stunned for a moment. He pulled off the stethoscope hanging from his neck and slashed at Lawson with his hand, “Then I won't pretend. Someone wants you to die. You can't walk out alive today.”

Lawson endured the pain and barely managed to dodge the man’s attack. He rolled backward to distance himself from his opponent.

“Who sent you here?”

“Didn't you already guess whom I work for?”

The man agilely rushed up and began to fight with Lawson in the small room.

“You no longer have any value. You will only stand in Ms. Callis’ way if you live. I advise you not to be ignorant of what's good for you. You should die obediently.”

The man used his thick right arm to lock onto Lawson with his left hand raised high to aim at Lawson's neck.

“I don't believe it. This is impossible. Ms. Callis won't harm me. Who sent you to frame her?” Lawson struggled violently. He bent his elbow and slammed it into the man’s chest.

The man couldnt dodge in time, and the syringe in his hand was knocked out by Lawson. Lawson took the opportunity to squat down and quickly picked up the syringe.

“You brat, you still dare be so arrogant when you're about to die. Hurry up and bring the syringe over. I will kill you peacefully.”

The doctor was completely enraged by Lawson.

“Let's see if you have the ability to do so.” Lawson covered the wound that was bleeding due to his violent movements and bumped into the man head-on.

The moment the two passed each other, Lawson saw the opportunity, stabbed the springe into the man’s back, and injected the tranquilizer into the man’s body.

The man groaned and collapsed weakly.

After doing all of this, Lawson collapsed to the ground and gasped for air. When he had recovered some strength, he opened the door without hesitation.

No matter if what this man said was true or not, Lawson had to leave the Callis’ place as soon as possible.

He ran out like a madman. He wanted to find Anaya and ask her in person if what the man said was true or not.

By following the path that Anaya brought him in last night, he arrived at the back door and stumbled out.

Because he was too eager to ask Anaya for an answer, he completely ignored the wounds that began to bleed all over his body. In the end, he lost his strength and fell to the ground.

He tried his best to hold his body with his arms while trying not to fall, but his head was dizzy. Vaguely, he saw a woman in a red dress walking toward him. The woman had a swaying figure while wearing a dress with beautiful lace.

“Fainted?”

The woman stood in front of Lawson and observed Lawson for a while. Her cold voice was devoid of any emotion.

In a semi-conscious state, Lawson only felt that this sound was very familiar. He wanted to forcefully raise his head to see who it was, but his vision went black, and he completely fainted.

When he woke up again, he found the woman standing in front of him...

It was Viola.

"You... Aren't you dead?”

“Sorry to disappoint you.”

Viola smiled. She had no intention of leaving. After dealing with Anaya’s matter, she had specially come to find Lawson.

“I'm afraid you still don’t know that Ms. Callis has already been sent to the police station because of multiple crimes. And you will share the same fate.”

"How is this possible?”

Lawson's eyes were filled with shock and anger. “It must be you. Vicious woman. You deliberately framed Anaya.”

“As for what exactly happened, you should go and ask her yourself.”

Viola had no intention of talking nonsense with Lawson.

“You are shameless. Don't think that you can wash away your crimes. Even if I am put in jail, I will do my best to make

you suffer.”

“All right, I'll wait. But now, tell me where Orlando is,” Viola snorted coldly and looked down at Lawson, who was dressed in tattered clothes..

Lawson raised his head to look at the high and mighty woman while lying on the ground and laughing out loud.

"What are you laughing at?" Viola frowned.

“I'm laughing at you. You haven't changed at all. You're still attached to Mr. Caffrey just like before the divorce.”

The dying man stopped smiling and said in a harsh tone, “I thought you would change after escaping death once. It seems that I have overestimated you.”

Although Viola had doubts, she couldn't be bothered to explain it to Lawson and didn’t say a word about it.

“Do you think you can get Mr. Caffrey again? I tell you, it's impossible. Mr. Caffrey won't like a poisonous woman like you.” Lawson looked at Viola with disgust.

It took him a lot of effort to say this, and he lay on the ground gasping for air. His expression showed his extreme pain.

Viola looked at Lawson expressionlessly. “There is a limit to my patience. I will ask you one last time. Where is Orlando?”

“Il won't tell you, I prefer 10 die. Don't even think about looking for Mr. Caffrey again. When Mr. Caffrey comes back, he will take revenge on you thousands of times over. He will not let you go,” Lawson shouted hysterically.

“Very good.”

“I hope you can still be so stubborn in the police station.” Viola turned around and left.

She swiftly opened the car door and got in.

Even if Lawson didn't say anything, she still had a way to know Orlando's whereabouts.

She raised her hand and looked at her watch. Since it was still early, she planned to drive to the Caffrey’s house.

At the thought of the annoying faces of the two women, she darkened her face and frowned. After driving a little further, it would be a familiar villa area. Viola slowed down.

Suddenly, her cell phone rang. It forced her to stop by the roadside.

“What's the matter?”

“Ms. Zumthor, something bad happened at the filming base.” On the phone, Rayna sounded panicked.

“Don’t worry. Calm down and tell me slowly. What's wrong with the filming base?” Viola leaned against the back of the car chair as her expression gradually turned serious.

“Two contestants suddenly had a dispute. One of them had a very powerful family background. He proposed to break the contract and withdraw from the competition. He also wanted to sue Angle Group in court... What should we do? Come here quickly, Ms. Zumthor.”

Rayna's voice sounded like she was about to cry.

“Got it. I'll go back now. Wait for me in the office.” Viola ended the call

She glanced at the villa area that was getting smaller in the mirror. She snorted coldly, stepped on the accelerator, and sped in the opposite direction.

Rayna had already taken the documents and was waiting downstairs. When she saw Viola, she immediately rushed over as if she had seen her savior.

“Ms. Zumthor, take a look. This is what the person in charge of that company sent me.”

Rayna anxiously handed the folder to Viola. “One of the two contentious competitors is an actress who has been in this industry for three years, and the other is the daughter of a rich family in Philadelphia. The two sides do not give in to each other, which has seriously affected the shooting process. What do you think we should do?”

Viola took the document and glanced at it. After roughly understanding the situation, she closed the folder.

“Ms. Zumthor?” Rayna asked nervously.

She had just joined the office not long ago. This was the first time she had encountered such a thing. She was afraid that if she did not handle it well, it would cause a huge loss to Angle Group. “We can handle any problems. Angle Group is big, so we shouldn't be afraid of this bitch.”
