Chapter 7
A peaceful planet, known as Turnog, was a well-known planet. It had one landmass covering seventy-five percent of the planet. Surrounding the continent was a prestige cobalt blue ocean. Tall, yellow grasses and tall multi-colored flowers covered the continent. The inhabitants here had preserved their wilderness and lived alongside nature.
The leader of Turnog had allied with over one hundred other planets in order to preserve peace. The inhabitants of Turnog cared for their fellow citizens and those from other planets. The inhabitants were quite diverse as a lot came from war ridden planets to find peace.
One night a spacecraft lit the sky before crash landing on the planet. It caused a great concern for many who lived on Turnog. In the morning, many reported the sighting to the leader, Vixok, hoping he would resolve the issue. To everyone’s relief, he sent out a small search party to investigate the fallen spacecraft. The leader of this search party was the greatest warrior in Turnog, Nerok.
Nerok and his comrades rode to the crash site on horse-like creatures. When they got near the site, they saw the desiccated remains of the spacecraft. The heat from entering the atmosphere was just too much for the craft to handle. Scraps of metal littered the ground.
Nerok sent two men back to the city to gather more soldiers to clean up the mess. The rest of the group collected the scraps of metal as they waited for the return of the others. As the scrap metal was cleaned up, Nerok noticed the spacecraft had an occupant. He drew his sword and slowly approached the intruder. Upon closer investigation, Nerok saw it was only a girl. He carefully removed her from the wreckage and placed her by the scrap metal pile.
The other group soon arrived with carts to wheel the metal scraps back to the city. They would melt down these scraps and build more weapons. Nerok placed the girl on a cart and they rode back to the city where Vixok would decide what to do with her. Nerok brought the girl into Vixok’s office and placed her on the ground.
“Sir, we found the intruder.” Nerok reported.
“It is just a girl, Nerok. How could she be dangerous?” Vixok asked.
“We have been deceived before, Sir.”
“Yes, but each time we have recovered. We must take this girl to the infirmary unit at once!”
Another soldier entered the room and took the girl to the infirmary as Vixok requested. Nerok looked at Vixok curiously.
“Did you notice she had no scars, Nerok?” Vixok asked inquisitively.
“Yes, I did notice that.” Nerok said blandly.
“She must be running from someone or something.”
“She could be a spy.”
“Nerok.”
“Sir, you know there is a possibility of an oncoming war.” Nerok cautioned.
“I’ve never been a fan of wars, Nerok. There is always a better way to achieve one’s goals. Perhaps this girl can help us.”
“Perhaps.”
Vixok sighed and smiled lightly.
“If this girl is in fact an enemy, you, my brother, will take care of it. You have my word. But if she is an ally, she shall be treated as a citizen of Turnog and fight by our side. She might possibly be a mutant.” Vixok smiled.
“Which leads me to believe she is our enemy.”
“Only time will tell, Nerok.”
“Then we must be prepared for the worst.”
“You can prepare, but no actions shall be made against our new guest. At least until we know if she is indeed a potential ally.”
“I have never understood why you see goodness in everyone you meet, Vixok.”
“It is a gift, Nerok. You can never judge based on looks, but judge by actions.”
“Let us hope she is an ally.”
