Ethan’s Vengeance of Love

Chapter 79

Everyone was staring at Alice. Someone recognized her, and they gasped, “Hey, that’s Alice!”
“That shameless woman who wanted to marry Bruce Yeager?”
“Yeah, but she failed. Bruce wouldn’t possibly marry someone like her.”
“Her scar is scary. It’s nightmare fuel. No way anyone would want to marry her.”
“She gave her company to him before they even got married. What a fool.”
“You stole from my friend. Of course, you need to be investigated.” Rachel Sonny, who came to demand an explanation, was
scared at first, but when she realized who this woman was, she gained her confidence back. This woman is nothing but a fool,
and I have ‘proof’ she stole. There’s nothing to be scared of.
“Evidence?” Alice looked at her calmly, as if Rachel was nothing but a maggot deserving nothing more than disgust. Yet, there
was an unmistakable sharpness behind that gaze.
Seven years ago, she lay low just to protect herself and the company. She left the city for seven years and didn’t explain herself
because she just couldn’t be bothered. Now she was back and prepared for vengeance. That ruckus at the wedding was enough
to send a message to the Yeagers.
The trap she set in the company would destroy Bruce, and Elijah was scared out of his wits just because of some photos. She
did not need to hide her strength anymore. If it weren’t for the fact that she was married to Ethan, she would’ve launched an
attack. And these fools think I’m easy prey?
Rachel gulped and her legs buckled, but then she was delighted when Alice asked for evidence. “Xandra lost her necklace just
now. You can’t have hidden it anywhere else but your bag. You can prove your innocence if you just let Xandra check the bag.”
Alice knew this would happen and didn’t argue with her. Instead, she took her bag and placed it on the table, smiling. “Here’s the
bag.”
Rachel smiled smugly. Hah, you can fake it all you want, but in the end, you got scared. Now, we can do whatever we want with
you. You’re done for.
Xandra Raine sneered as well. And I thought she was more capable than this. Turns out she’s nothing but trash.

Just then, Alice looked at Xandra. Slowly, she said, “But...” She paused for a moment, cocked her eyebrow, and said, “You can’t
search it. You’d dirty my bag.”
“What did you say?” Xandra’s face darkened as she felt humiliated. She might just be a no-name model, but she had never been
insulted like this before, especially not after she became Keith’s woman.
Rachel, who was Xandra’s manager, flew into a rage. “Do you know who she is? She’s Keith’s woman,” she threatened.
Keith was in a corner. He narrowed his eyes, and murder flared within them.
Alice smiled, but it was a mocking smile. “So what?” She paused for a moment, and then she said, “Not even your boyfriend has
permission to go through my bag.”
The crowd was in disbelief. Keith was a terrifying man, and no one would ever go against him. No one would disrespect him
openly. They thought Alice was done for.
Keith cocked his eyebrow and smiled. He was reminded of someone, and the memory floated to the surface of his mind. Despite
so many years, the memory was still as vivid as ever. Yet, he had no idea this girl was such an adorable and interesting soul. He
looked at Alice, and his smile got bigger. I never thought I would run into her again seven years later. This must be fate. Fate
wants us to meet again.
As if she finally found something to threaten Alice with, Rachel shouted, “What? You said Keith doesn’t have the right to go
through your bag? You’ve gone mad.” She knew Keith was around, and she was saying that again so he could hear it, thinking
he would get angry.
“Fine. Then give me a reason why he can go through my bag. Or you can ask him to do it himself.” Alice cocked her eyebrow
calmly.
Keith’s smile turned into a grin, and there was love in his eyes. It’s been years. You’ve grown. You’re bolder now. Challenging
me, eh? But it’s fine.
The man beside Keith thought he would be mad, so he grabbed the chance to butter him up. “That woman is disrespecting you.
Should I get someone to teach her a lesson?”
Keith shot the man an icy look, and he blurted, “She said that I don’t have permission to go through her bag. Do you think you’re
more important than I am that you can go through her bag?”

The man froze, and a chill ran down his spine. What does he mean? She said Keith has no permission to go through her bag,
and he agreed to it? That’s not how he works.
Keith drawled, “I do have permission, but I won’t do it.” I can’t, he thought. They finally met again after seven years, and he
wouldn’t hurt her. All he wanted was to keep her safe.
Rachel continued, “I think you’re scared. You don’t want us to go through your bag because Xandra’s necklace is in there.”
Rachel was unafraid, thinking she held all the cards in her hand. “You’re scared because you’re guilty. When I find the necklace
in your bag, you’re getting it.” Rachel wanted to forcibly take the bag.
“Try me.” Alice didn’t move, but when Rachel was about to touch her bag, Alice looked at her hand.
Rachel stopped, her hand trembling. The bag was less than an inch away, yet she had no courage to move forward. It felt like
her hand would be cut off the moment she extended it.
She wasn’t the only one who got scared; everyone at the party was as well. Even Keith was a little surprised. My, what a
surprise. I’ve never seen a woman with her aura. She spoke softly and the look in her eyes was calm, and yet a strong current
raged underneath those still waters. I like her. The old man’s been asking me to get married all this time. He used to think it was
annoying, but now he thought the proposition was just fine.
