Chapter 21: Escape

Felicity sneered and asked, "If the Rhodes family is so good, why don't you go?"

"Naturally, I must leave such a good opportunity to my sister."

Hannah inched closer, pretending to be kind.

"I don't see it how good a family of money-greedy animals can be, don't disgust me."

Felicity mocked mercilessly.

Good opportunity for her?

The James family must be trying to benefit from it somewhere in between.

These words pissed Hannah off; she was so angry that she wanted to swear at the moment.

But she held it in for a while, and laughed.

She knew that Felicity wanted to provoke her deliberately, she would not be fooled!

If she got angry, then didn't it mean Felicity had won?

"Sis, are you still blaming me for taking Oliver?"

Hannah's voice was soft, but its tone made people want to hit her.

Sure enough, as soon as she said this, Felicity's eyebrows twitched, and there was also a trace of anger in her eyes.

Even though it was slight, Hannah still noticed.

A smile crept up the corner of her mouth; it seemed that these words were very effective, "Hey, I'm really sorry...but don't blame me for this..."

Hannah lowered her eyes, and pretended to be innocent, "At first, you were rude and he gave up to you, so in the end, he fell in love with me. I know this incident must have hurt you..." Hannah deliberately emphasized how she and Oliver got together; who knew what she had planned in mind.

However, Felicity smiled, "A man like him who changes his heart all the time? I don't need him. Besides, why are you rejoicing over picking up something I threw away?"

She must have been blind in the beginning to be interested in that kind of person.

Nowadays, she no longer wasted time thinking about such a scumbag without principles.

Someone like Oliver was a perfect match with Hannah.

Felicity gave up such a person to Hannah and felt no loss at all.

Hearing this, Hannah could not tolerate anymore, and she was furious, "Felicity! I show you some courtesy, and you think you deserve it?"

Felicity had a vicious tongue and held grudges, which made her really unbearable.

"Go ahead, be angry, but it's only because I'm right dead on; you don't have to put up an act anymore, I'm tired just looking at you." Felicity gave a cold snort.

Before, she was too soft-hearted and constantly bullied by Hannah.

Now that she knew the true face of this woman, she refused to ever show a trace of sympathy. "Don't hold your breath; I wouldn't bother with you if you didn't have some use for the family!" Since Felicity had escalated the tension to this point, Hannah just reciprocated in return. After that, she was about to leave and close the door.

However, after two steps, she turned back again, and her eyes showed a hint of pride again. "By the way, before I leave, I should remind you, your fiancé is not as simple as he seems!"

Hannah said and cackled, obviously with bad intentions.

"I heard he was married three times already and prone to domestic violence. One of his wives was beaten until she was disabled! Since you're so great, maybe you can cure him!" Hannah said this, obviously with ill intent.

She knew that someone with Felicity's personality would definitely suffer a lot of abuse.

But her fiancé might be just the one to destroy Felicity's esteem, so they were a good match.

Felicity had heard rumors; she tried to keep calm, but she still held her breath.

Having achieved her goal, Hannah was secretly happy in mind. She smiled and said, "I know what you're thinking, do you want to escape?"

"Hahaha... looks like the whole family really is no better than beasts!"

Felicity could not bear to listen any longer; she just wanted Hannah out of the room, "Get out!"

"Don't worry, I'll leave. I just wanted to remind you that resistance is futile. Dad already asked the Rhodes to pick you up tomorrow. After that, I wish my dear sister good luck!" After she finished, Hannah felt a burst of pleasure inside, and smiled as she walked out.

Hannah's laughter rang clearly in Felicity's ears...

Felicity clenched her fists tightly; her entire body was cold, and her palms were covered with cold sweat.

Immediately, anger swelled over her.

A man prone to domestic violence?

Is this the kind of fiancé her father chose for her?

She knew it from the start; Stanley did not care at all, and had never thought on her behalf.

Just for some so-called benefits, her father would actually send her off to marry such a person. Isn't that that the same as sending her into a lion's den?

The more she thought, the angrier she got, and her body could not help but began to tremble.

Her last hope for her father had died...

She thought it meant something for them to be blood related, but it seemed she was wrong.

He had been a distant, uncaring father for so many years. Now he finally appeared, but he wanted to destroy her happiness with his own hands. Stanley, such a good father!

Felicity felt angry and betrayed; tears filled her eyes, and she couldn't help but let them fall.

But now was a critical moment; Felicity sniffed fiercely and abruptly held back her tears.

It was not worth crying over a father who abandoned her.

Rather than complain and cry, it was better now to think about how to get out of the situation. If she waited until tomorrow, it would be too late.

Felicity wiped her tears and opened the window to check if there was a possibility of escape. Stanley must have anticipated this move, and arranged many bodyguards around the villa. The floor was not high, Felicity could jump; but even if she did, it was impossible to escape. She would be caught too easily, and maybe more guards would watch over her then.

To walk out the door was even more impossible; Stanley had henchmen guard the door.

Felicity felt helpless again. Was there really no chance to escape?

She thought for a while, and then she remembered her still had her cellphone.

Fortunately, this was not taken away when she came up.

She browsed the address book for a long time and felt helpless. At this moment, she could not find anyone who could save her.

The only person that came to mind was Jason.

But she had troubled him too many times; was it really OK to ask him?

In any case, Felicity cannot marry Vincent; that would be the end of her.

Felicity clenched her teeth; finally, she had no choice but to call Jason.
