Eric’s Spoiled Princess by Isla Rainfield

Chapter 191

Chapter 191 A Sudden Twist

As they locked eyes, Eric quickly sat upright and embraced Kate, diving in for a kiss without hesitation.

His eyes, deep and focused, mirrored only the image of Kate as the kiss grew bold and fiery- their most intense connection yet.

Eric stepped back when the kiss finally broke, leaving Kate gasping for air.

Phew. Kate exhaled sharply, slightly dizzy, giving Eric a look of mild irritation.

She was completely taken aback by his sudden move, leaving her struggling for breath.

With a mild smile and a softening gaze, Eric tenderly moved a loose strand of hair from her forehead, murmuring, “Sorry, Kate.”

Faced with his apology, Kate frowned in confusion. “For what are you apologising?”

Eric hesitated, not meeting her eyes. “For doubting you.”

At this, Kate felt her heart flutter, moved by the sincerity in Eric’s guilty look.

She embraced him tightly, whispering, “Ric, you haven’t done anything wrong. If anyone, it’s me who’s always been at fault.”

Reflecting on her own errors, Kate felt a sting of regret.

Trying to brighten the mood, she let go of Eric’s hand, suggesting cheerily, “How about some stew tonight? I’ll whip it up when we get home.”

Eric, however, shook his head and said, “No.”

Kate, puzzled, pressed, “Why not?”

Eric said. Tired.

Amused by his reply, Kate reassured him, “I’m not. I’ll be back soon, alright?” –

After a little more talk, Eric gave in, but as Kate left, he called out, “Be quick, and stay safe on the road.

“Will do,” she promised.

Kate offered Eric a smile before exiting the hospital room.

Once alone, Eric’s demeanour shifted as he made a call, stating forcefully, “Speed up the plan. I want MC gone in three months.”

The person on the other end hesitated, asking, “But Mr. Eric, wasn’t the original plan to dismantle MC in six months? Three months seems hasty.”

Eric responded firmly. “They’ve crossed a line with my wife.”

There was a pause on the line before the reply came, “Understood, Mr. Eric.”

After hanging up, Eric immediately focused on his rehabilitation exercises, eager to leave the hospital.

He was in a rush to recover. The threat from MC loomed large, and he was ready to make them regret targeting Kate.

Meanwhile, in a secluded chamber in Capital City, voices questioned, “Has Eric lost it? And Miles, betraying us to attack our business! Why bother keeping those failures around in Maridonia?”

Yves’s angry voice filled the room, surrounded by shattered bottles on the floor.

In one corner, Simon was huddled, scared, and uncertain about how to deal with Yves.

He started to doubt Yves’s mental stability and pondered whether he was the one being unreasonable.

While Yves went off about what Eric did, Simon started to feel like maybe it was actually Yves who was spiralling out of control.
