Chapter 7
Chapter 7 Not
Afraid of
Misunderstandin
g
Olivia thought, ‘He’s just a cheating man, what’s there to
miss about him?‘
She really wanted to slap herself awake. Olivia wiped
her face and was about to
leave when she bumped into
someone.
Alex closed the door. He
held the back of Olivia’s
head with his large hand and
leaned down to kiss her lips.
The towering figure of Alex pressed over, the familiar
scent causing an uneasy feeling to well up in Olivia’s
heart.
She looked up at Alex in
panic and whispered, “Mr.
Tres, we are still in the Hall family.”
Desire was evident in Alex’s
eyes, he licked his lips and
displayed a domineering vibe,
Seeing her expression, Olivia instinctively backed away.
Alex looked at her and asked,
“Olivia, why do you look
sad?”
Olivia remained silent.
She wiped her face and felt liquid, unable to tell if it was tears or just water from
washing her face.
“No,” Olivia said directly.
Alex pulled Olivia into his
arms, his warm breath
spreading over her face, “Are
you sad to see the man you love marrying another
woman?”
His voice was low and
indifferent.
Upon hearing this, a hint of
sadness flashed in Olivia’s
eyes, she tightly pursed her lips and remained silent.
Alex lowered his head and lightly kissed her lips, then deepened the kiss.
It wasn’t until Olivia was
almost out of breath that
Alex let her go.
Gasping for air like a fish out of water, Olivia breathed
heavily.
Alex straightened his clothes slightly and said to Olivia,
“Let’s go, the Hall family is still waiting.”
Olivia heaved a long sigh and said cautiously, “You go out first, I’ll come out later.”
She didn’t want to go out
with Alex because she
wanted to avoid the
possibility of anyone
suspecting them of anything.
*****
In the living room, everyone had smiles on their faces
while chatting about the
engagement of Rosa and
Oliver.
Olivia came out of the
bathroom. When she saw the smiles on everyone’s faces,
she felt a bit uncomfortable.
She paused for a moment before going upstairs to pack
her stuff. Then she went
downstairs with a backpack.
In truth, there wasn’t much
in the Hall family that
belonged to her anymore.
She only took her mother’s photos.
Olivia walked to Toby in the hall and said, “Dad, I won’t
come back anymore. I will
no longer affiliate with the
Hall family from now on.”
Olivia’s voice was resolute.
Upon hearing this, Toby’s
face immediately twisted.
He didn’t expect that Olivia would show such disrespect
to him in front of Alex.
Toby said, “Olivia, sit down. Are you trying to embarrass me on purpose?”
“No, I’m just telling you that from today on, I will not be
associated with the Hall
family.” Olivia hammered
each word into Toby’s heart.
A stubborn look appeared on
her face.
Upon hearing this, Alex
looked at Olivia with
mysterious expression.
He thought, ‘Did he pretend
to act vulnerable in front of
me before?‘
Toby hurriedly explained, “Mr. Tres, please forgive me
for the embarrassment.
Some time ago, I cut off her mother’s medical expenses and her tuition fees, so she’s throwing a tantrum here.”
As Toby spoke, he glared
fiercely at Olivia.
Olivia knew that if looks
could kill, she would
probably be dead by now.
Suddenly, Alex spoke up,
“Olivia is a good girl. Mr.
Hall, isn’t what you did a bit
too much?”
Upon hearing this, Toby was
taken aback.
He remembered that Alex
wasn’t one to meddle in
other people’s affairs, but he
didn’t expect him to take this
matter to heart.
He quickly explained, “Mr.
Tres, it’s not like that. I just wanted her to apologize for her mistake, but this child is
too stubborn to back down.”
Alex’s face softened with
indulgence as he looked at
Olivia. It turned out that her
father didn’t really like her.
*****
“Olivia, I know I took your
boyfriend, and I’m sorry about that, but today is a
happy day for me and
Oliver. Are you deliberately
trying to upset me?” Rosa looked pitiful.
“I never wanted to come
back, you guys made me. I won’t come back again,”
Olivia said angrily. Then she
turned around to leave.
Oliver reached out to stop
her. “Olivia, stay for dinner, I
have something to say to you.”
Olivia pushed his hand away.
“Let go, there’s nothing to
discuss between us.”
Alex said with a mysterious
look, “Miss Olivia, it’s not
proper to leave without eating.”
Olivia paused and did not insist on leaving again.
Toby looked at Olivia with resentment in his eyes.
*****
To show their respect, the Hall family booked the best restaurant in Kingsley to
entertain Alex.
“Let’s go to the restaurant first,” Toby said while gesturing to Alex.
Alex didn’t hesitate and
walked out directly.
As they were about to leave,
Oliver said to Olivia, “Olivia,
why don’t you ride with us?”
Upon hearing this, Rosa instantly became unhappy, secretly pinching Oliver.
Ted walked up to Olivia and said, “Olivia, why don’t you
ride with me? I’ll take you
there.”
Olivia ignored him and went
straight to Alex’s car.
Everyone was taken aback.
“Are they close?” Rosa asked Oliver with undisguised
anger.
Oliver pondered for a moment. “They shouldn’t
be.”
He looked at Alex’s car with
confusion. He thought that perhaps Olivia just didn’t
want to ride in their car and
didn’t think much of it.
*****
Alex looked back at Olivia.
“You’re quite bold to get into my car. Aren’t you afraid that they will have a misunderstanding?”
“I’m not afraid,” Olivia
replied calmly.
She had already severed ties with the Hall family.
Whatever she did from now
on, it had nothing to do with
them.
*****
Upon hearing this, Alex
smirked slightly.
The car soon arrived at the
hotel.
Alex got out of the car and
walked around to the back to
open the door for Olivia.
Olivia stepped out of the car and thanked Alex softly,
“Thank you, Mr. Tres.”
Rosaen watched from a
distance and was consumed
with jealousy.
She thought, ‘How is this
bitch, Olivia, worthy of Mr.
Tres opening the door for
her?‘
After getting out of the car,
Olivia followed behind Alex,
about to head towards the
lobby.
“Olivia, wait a moment,”
Oliver suddenly called out.
Olivia paused. “What’s the
matter?”
She was just thinking about
clearing up things between
them, so she waited for
Oliver.
Oliver explained the
situation, mainly blaming
Olivia for not letting him
touch her, which led to their
breakup.
Olivia was exasperated. She thought, ‘How stupid was I to like this piece of crap?‘
She cut in, “Oliver, we are
not dating anymore. There’s
no need to bring up the past.”
