Chapter 25: A Lifetime Debt Unpaid

Sophie quickly apologized, "Sir, I overlooked the entry of these three... dogs. I'll forfeit three months' salary as punishment."

However, it was Giselle who had let them in. Caught off-guard by Sophie's admission, she swiftly interjected, "I'm the one who let them in, I'm sorry, I didn't foresee this..." Henry moved beside her, pressed his index finger to her lips, and whispered, "Shush, no apologies necessary. You're just as much at home here."

Henry's eyes were strikingly beautiful, the lines and curves elegant, his smile a charming blend of warmth and aloofness.

His high-ranking demeanor and chilly, assessing glances could easily make anyone feel the weight of his authority.

At that moment, his gaze, shielded by a frosty barrier, briefly swept over the trio.

A palpable tension flowed among them, as if two icy swords were clashing in the air, their resonance echoing sharply.

Clark felt a cold sweat break out on his forehead. He clenched his fists to stop them from shaking, his lips quivering.

"Sir, we just wanted to see how our daughter was faring, to ensure no one was mistreating her," he stuttered.

With such a significant financier before her, Fiona seized the opportunity to advocate for her daughter.

Taking a bold step forward, she dragged Cynthia with her, "Yes, Sir, Giselle mentioned she missed her sister, so we brought her here to reunite." With that, she pushed Cynthia straight into Henry's embrace.

Henry's brow furrowed with impatience as he stepped aside, his expression dismissive as if he had encountered something distasteful. "Utterly vulgar."

"On my turf, you bully my woman." He encircled Giselle's slender waist and motioned to Assistant Cooper, "Take them to Wilkerson Bay."

A veritable hell on earth!

Clark staggered as if struck by lightning, barely managing to stand. He rushed forward and clung to Giselle's legs, crying out tearfully, "Giselle, I'm your real father, please... ask him to show mercy, won't you?" "Scram."

Giselle looked down on him disdainfully, frowning as she tried to shake him off.

Such an embrace was more revolting and frightening than a snake's coil.

Seeing that emotional pleas were futile, Clark switched tactics, "I've mortgaged the villa already. If I die today and the creditors can't find anyone, the villa will go to settle the debts." Fiona chimed in hastily,

"Yes, that's what your mother left behind. Could you really bear to sell it?"

Giselle's expression softened slightly. She could be heartless to anything and anyone else, but not towards her deceased mother and her ailing grandmother.

Seeing her hesitation, Henry lowered his gaze and asked, "Do you really want that villa?"

Giselle nodded quickly, looking up at him, "I do, but I really can't afford it."

She was already indebted to Henry for ten million, and now where was she supposed to find a hundred million dollars!

Her eyes glistened, and as she gazed up at him, she looked as innocent and endearing as a kitten, compelling one to want to give her the world.

Henry gently stroked her hair, and unable to resist, kissed her forehead, "I'll buy it for you as a reward for being good today, how does that sound?"

Giselle felt torn. If Henry didn't buy the villa, it would slip through her fingers, and she and her grandmother could never return. But if he did, then she would owe him an even larger debt.

A hundred and ten million dollars-she'd be indebted for a lifetime!

She would never escape Henry's clutches.

While Giselle was still deliberating, Henry signaled to Assistant Cooper, "Proceed with the transfer. I want the property deed tonight." He then coldly glanced over the family, adding, "From now on, these three mad dogs are forbidden from entering Giselle's territory."

Meaning, once the transfer was complete that night, the family could no longer return to the villa.

Clark hadn't expected his plan to backfire. He resorted to pleading, "No! Without the villa, where will we live?"

Fiona grew more agitated, "Giselle, he's your real father. Are you really going to let him be homeless?"
