Enchanted High Book I

Chapter Chapter Forty-Four: Robbie

Robbie Phillison filled his coffee mug with some herbal tea he had made and sipped on it. He sighed and swayed on his newly furnished rocking chair. It was a satisfying feeling to relax with no worries of the next day or the past. But he had to admit that sometimes he wished he was back with people around him, going to work. He missed that life, even if it had brought along problems.

But Robbie was a successful archeologist, adventurer and survivalist; he knew a lot of things many people didn’t know.

He took another sip of his tea when he heard a short ringing sound, coming from the dining room. He got off his chair and scanned the room.

Right there, on the table, green sparkles were appearing slowly, floating around the center as if welcoming a new object. The next moment, a green ring was drawing onto the table.

Robbie stared at it in a puzzled way. He had never seen anything like it.

Just when he thought it was over, something else appeared in the ring. There was a neon blue flash of light; it disappeared as fast as it came. And in its place, was a metal watch, a familiar metal watch. Underneath it, a piece of paper lay.

Robbie picked up the watch and stared at it. He unfolded the paper and read the words:

Dear Robbie

Thank you for all that you have done to make our stay at your house a comfortable one. We really appreciated it. So I left something for you that I’m quite sure would come in handy.

June.

Robbie could not believe his eyes. He read the letter over and over again. June cared about him. She truly was the niece of Audrey. He looked at the watch; the same one that June had asked him to fix. He could go anywhere he wanted to with this within seconds. He could go back home and visit Audrey.

A tear fell down Robbie’s cheek, a tear of extreme joy.

Robbie. It really was tragic, what happened to him. And I’m not talking about his fifteen year expedition.

About the growling. It’s a dragon. The same one, apparently, that James once rode. Polkadot knew about it. I suppose it’s funny when I’m scared.

--THUG.
