Emma: The Forgotten Luna

Chapter 42

“YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BRING HER TO ME NOT FALL IN LOVE WITH HER IDIOT!!”

Xander Knight hollered at Damien who was slouched on the couch with his head resting on the headrest. His eyes were closed and he seemed cool as a cucumber as if his father’s scolding weren’t reaching his ears. sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ FɪndNovᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Damien returned to his pack house. Zion was shocked by his decision but his hands were tied. He couldn’t do anything except follow his commands.

Xander was furious with his son’s disobedience. Huffing, he turned to Zion who was also glaring at Damien. He was confused when suddenly Damien told Ryan and him to leave for Northern Valley but never in a million years he had thought that he would reveal his love story to his father.

Yes, Damien told everything to Xander. That he had found his rival and also that she is his Luna. He loves her and wishes to marry her.

“That Edward’s daughter is my better half, Dad.”

“I fucking gave you one task to look after him and report every detail to me. You told me that you haven’t found her yet and today this bastard is telling me that he loves her. How on earth did this even happen?” Xander raged, losing his marbles.

Ryan who was leaning against the door frame with his hands crossed over his toned chest stepped to defend the Alpha, “What’s wrong with that? Though she is Edward’s daughter, she is our Luna. Alpha loves her and she loves him too. They both are mates after all. We don’t have the right to object.” He said in a crisp tone.

The way he spoke so casually as if it wasn’t a big deal made Xander fly off the handle, “OBJECT? SHE IS EDWARD’S DAUGHTER MORON!! SHE HAS THE BLOOD OF THAT TRAITOR RUNNING IN HER VEINS AND YOU’RE TELLING ME TO ACCEPT HER??” He growled and marched towards Damien who was still sprawled on the couch.

Zion paled when Xander grabbed Damien’s collar and jerked him harshly making him snap his eyes open.

“You can’t ruin my plans, Damien. I have been living for this day. To wipe his filthy blood and finish off his entire family from the face of Earth. You can find someone else, someone better than her but that girl is my prey.” He said in an eerily clipped tone leaving no room for argument. Zion stilled in trepidation and simply decided to sit on the fence. It would only escalate things further.

Xander continued seething but his eyes widened when Damien all of a sudden stood up from the couch making him move back. Yanking his shirt roughly from his hold, he straightened his collars before taking a deep breath.

“Listen, Dad,” he said and started uncuffing his sleeves, “I will just come straight to the point. To make things easier, I will summarise the entire scenario in three simple points” He breathed and folded his sleeves to his elbow leaving the thick blue veins on his tanned sturdy hands on display.

“First of all, she isn’t your prey anymore. She is my Em, my Princess, your daughter-in-law, and the Luna of my pack so better take her name with respect. I wouldn’t mind plucking out the tongues who dare disobey my love.”

Xander staggered in shock after hearing his caveat.

“HOW DARE YOU THREATEN ME? I AM YOUR FAT-”

“Sshh”

Damien hushed him by placing his index finger on his lips making Xander seal his mouth.

“You’re my father that’s why I am making you understand in a civilized manner. If anyone else would have been in your place, he wouldn’t be breathing by now.” He growled, sending shivers down his spine.

“Anyways, let’s proceed further,” Shrugging off his shoulders, he then dipped his hands in his black trousers and continued while pacing the room, “Secondly, forget about your revenge. Not only you but the entire pack.” Damien said and stopped near Zion before throwing him a knowing look. Zion clenched his jaw as he knew those words were directed at him.

Damien then stood in the middle of the hall and looked at everyone. His aura abruptly turned dominating, intimidating and authoritative. His steely orbs turned a shade darker making one tremble in fear. Pinning his men with a fierce glare, he clenched his jaw before sneering in a lethal voice.

“Emmaline Richard Dawson is my mate. You must accept her whether you like it or not. It’s a fucking order. I don’t care what was our past and where her roots originated. All I simply care about is that I won’t fucking tolerate any callous behavior or negligence toward my Luna. She will be joining us soon so I expect you to organize a grand welcome for her. And...”

Damien stopped and looked at Xander. His mouth turned dry when he noticed red streaks covering his gray orbs which looked extremely frightening.

“This is the last time I would be explaining myself to you. Don’t forget I hold the power so just accept my rules and you will be safe. Otherwise, be prepared for consequences.”

Saying that he broke the eye contact and shifted his gaze to his Beta and Gamma who acknowledged his words with a curt nod.

Damien also nodded in response and walked towards Zion, “Make my words reach the others too. It’s your responsibility.” He spoke gruffly. Zion simply nodded but his gaze was still cold. Damien read the defiance in his eyes but chose to ignore it.

“Ryan, you need to come with me,” Damien spoke and immediately headed to the door with Ryan following his trail. Xander couldn’t bear it and stormed out of the hall.

“You didn’t brief us on the third point, Damien”

They both halted in their tracks after hearing Zion’s voice which held a tinge of derision. Ryan looked at him and then at Damien who still had his back on them.

Zion had a smirk on his face but his inquisition was broken by Damien’s laughter. Ryan too watched his broad shoulders shaking as he chuckled huskily. His laughter was hollow but menacing.

“The third is for my Princess, Zion.” He spoke in a clipped tone and walked out of the room.

Swirling the keys, Damien unlocked his car as he headed to leave for the city. Ryan also climbed inside and glanced at his Alpha whose face abruptly turned stone hard. Pressing on the gas button, Damien kicked on the accelerator before exiting his mighty home.

Ryan could feel the tension in the air. Damien was driving recklessly and rashly. His hold on the steering wheels would tighten every now and then. He was inhaling and exhaling air of unadulterated rage. Ryan knew what was going on in his mind because he was the one who had made the Alpha King aware of Luna’s stupid stunts.
