She didn’t say anything. 

Josephine watched Dorothy follow her movements as she held Danny and used Danny’s little hand to tease Manny 

But Dorothy was just a rich lady. She had never cared for a kid and had no idea how to care for one 

She didn’t know how much force to apply. 

She held Danny too hard when she took him from Josephine’s arms. 

Then she poked Manny with Danny’s hand with the same force. 

So…. 

“Arghh!” 

“Waahh!” 

Danny and Manny burst into tears at that exact moment! Children as young as five months old cried out loudly. 

Dorothy was startled “What’s wrong with them?” 

Josephine explained, “Ms. Smith, you might have hurt Danny when you hugged him too hard.” 

She patiently taught Dorothy how to handle and tease the child properly. 

Even when Dorothy adjusted her posture and patiently learned how to tease them from Josephine, Danny, and Manny were still weeping! 

They kept crying, and it only grew louder. 

Even if Josephine helped with coaxing, it was no use.

Josephine could only carry Danny over and patted him gently. Then, she held Manny in her arms and patted him too.

But she smiled gently and comforted Danny and Manny softly, “Okay, stop crying. Let’s laugh.” 

The two children who had been weeping loudly and with tears in their eyes had stopped crying. They giggled as they stared at Josephine. 

It was like magic. 

Dorothy couldn’t believe it! 

She looked at Josephine in disbelief and wondered, “How is this possible?” 

“When they were only babies, I hugged them too, but they didn’t cry. Why are they crying now?” 

“Did you do something?” 

Dorothy saw them for the first time in Muprary when Danny and Manny were barely a month old. 

She also liked children very much! 

Seeing the two cute little boys, she couldn’t help but hold them. 

Danny and Manny didn’t cry at that time. They seemed to like her very much.

“It must be you!” 

Dorothy assumed that was the truth. 

She glared angrily at Josephine. “You enchanted Danny and Manny so that they dislike being held by me!”

He looked at Josephine and asked, “What’s wrong? I heard Danny and Manny crying loudly from the study?”

Ragnar frowned. 

Dorothy complained, “I was bullied!” 

“As you know, I held Danny and Manny before. They didn’t cry and liked me very much! But now they won’t let me carry them anymore.” 

“It must be Josephine’s fault!” 

“She said Danny and Manny wouldn’t let strangers hug them!” 

Dorothy felt wronged. She looked at Ragnar and asked, “Ragnar, am I a stranger?” 

“Yes.” 

Ragnar responded. 

And he told Dorothy, “To Danny and Manny, you are a stranger.” 

Dorothy was stunned. 

She felt hurt. 

Her eyes turned red and she cried. 

“Ragnar, it shouldn’t be like this!” 

“Danny and Manny liked me a few months ago! You even proposed to me and asked me to be their mother!” 

Ragnar said, “As you said, it was before.” 

Dorothy couldn’t accept Ragnar standing on Josephine’s side so soon. 

She stomped her feet angrily. 

She pointed to Josephine and said, “You must have done something to them.” 

“I didn’t,” Josephine explained. 

Apart from Yennefer, Josephine would not tolerate criticism from just anyone. 

“It’s you…” 

“Enough!” Ragnar shouted. “Are you done?” 

Inexplicably, he didn’t want Josephine to be wronged. 

Dorothy was aggrieved. In the past four years, Ragnar had never been fierce to her. She didn’t expect him to raise his voice at her for a nanny. 

In just a few months, Ragnar was fascinated by this woman. 

“Ragnar belonged to me,” thought Dorothy. 

No one could take him away from her. 

Yet, she could see Ragnar’s dark expression and knew he would get furious. 

If she wanted to get back to him, she had to be obedient and not upset him. 

At the thought of this, she stopped talking. 

“Danny and Manný didn’t cry when they saw me before, so…” 

“The kids have Josephine now. You can go out first.” Ragnar asked her to leave directly. 

“Okay” 

Dorothy replied and reluctantly left. 

Before the door closed, she glared at Josephine. 

After Dorothy left, Josephine said lightly, “You should go out too.” 

Ragnar moved his lips and wanted to say something, but he finally swallowed it. 

He nodded. “Yes.” 

Josephine continued to coax Danny and Manny without any emotions on her face. 

She held the child in her arms and shook them gently. After a while, a giggle came.

While soothing the children, Josephine wondered about Dorothy and Ragnar’s relationship. 

“Is she Ragnar’s ex–girlfriend?” she thought to herself. 

Realizing that she was overthinking, Josephine shook her head gently and murmured to herself, “What am I thinking about? She and Ragnar were just married by agreement. Whatever happened between them, it had nothing to do with me.” 

Then, she continued to coax the children… 

When Ragnar left the bedroom, Dorothy approached him and tried to hold his arm, but he dodged away. 

Dorothy looked embarrassed, but she didn’t give up. 

“Ragnar..” 

“I still have some work to do. You can do whatever you like.” 

After saying that, he opened the door of the study and closed the door before Dorothy could react.. 

He was still the same as before, ignoring everyone else. 

But she wouldn’t give up. 

Anyway, she had already lived in this house. Sooner or later, she would be the hostess of this house, so she didn’t have to worry about it. 

As soon as Josephine put Danny and Manny to sleep, she heard a knock on the door. 

When she opened the door and went out, she saw Hannah looking at her kindly, “Mrs. Levine, the meal is ready.” 

“Hannah, you’d better call me Josephine.” She knew her identity. 

Hannah said, “That’s not right. You’re Mrs. Levine. I must follow the rules.” 

Josephine was helpless and had no choice but to accept it. 

The door to Ragnar’s study opened just as they were ready to head downstairs, and the two collided.
