Chapter 100
Chapter 100
With that, Jonathan went back to his bedroom and closed the door.
“What does Jonathan mean, Mrs. Zimmerman?” Winnie asked as she looked at Samantha.
Hearing her question, Samantha explained, “I’m doing this for the sake of you and Jonathan, Winnie, Yennefer has been married to Jonathan for so many years. And yet, she hasn’t given birth to a child for our family. Why should she get half of Jonathan’s property? Of course, I am against that. That’s why I suggested that Yennefer leave the marriage without anything Who knew it would end up in them not getting the divorce.”
Hearing this, Winnie breathed a sigh of relief before continuing. “You’re right, Mrs. Zimmerman. What right does she have to get so much from
Jonathan?”
“That’s why we have to find a way to make her give up on Jonathan’s property, Samantha said as she tried to come up with more ways.
“Yeah, we can’t let her get any of Jonathan’s property,” Winnie agreed.
It was natural that Winnie would be against Yennefer getting Jonathan’s property.
She had worked so hard that she could finally get what she wanted. How could she let Yennefer share Jonathan’s money?
As soon as Yennefer returned to the company, she received a call from Josephine.
Yennefer knew what Josephine was about to ask. She took a deep breath to calm herself down and answered the phone, “Josie.”
“Aunt Yennefer, how did it go?” Josephine asked.
“It was a failed attempt, Yennefer replied, feeling utterly helpless.
it had been about two months. And yet, the divorce was still not successful. It made Yennefer feel tired both physically and mentally.
She merely wanted to take back what belonged to her, which was not asking for too much.
Hearing Yennefer’s reply, Josephine did not have to do much thinking as she already knew the outcome.
“What does Jonathan want?” Josephine asked in exasperation. “Why not I ask Mr. Levine for help?
Over the past few days, Josephine thought that Ragnar’s lesson to Jonathan had already taught Jonathan that he should not be too arrogant.
However, it seemed like Jonathan was fearless.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Yennefer replied hesitantly.
Yennefer knew that getting help from Ragnar would instantly solve the matter.
Although Jonathan had done something unforgivable, he had, after all, treated her well over the years and even accepted the idea of taking care of Josie.
Therefore, Yennefer did not want to go too far.
Josephine could recognize the reluctance in Yennefer’s voice. “This is the only way to break off any relationships with Jonathan, Aunt Yennefer,” Josephine said. “Seriously, what does he want? What’s the point of delaying the divorce?”
Yennefer was well aware of everything Josephine said.
Did she feel sad that Jonathan and her relationship turned out like that?
Maybe just a little.
She mostly felt tired and wanted to give up on Jonathan.
Finally, she agreed to Josephine’s proposal upon pondering the issue for a while, “I promise you, Josie. I’ll mention it to Mr. Levine and ask if he’s willing to help me out.”
The truth was that Yennefer had always been reluctant to ask Ragnar for help.
It was mainly because she did not want Josephine to owe Ragnar a favor. After all, it was not easy to owe a favor to the rich and powerful.
A smile immediately bloomed on Josephine’s face upon hearing Yennefer’s response. “This is the right decision, Aunt Yennefer. I’m sure Mr. Levine will be willing to help.
After all, Ragnar would only have to utter a sentence to help out.
“Yeah, you’re right. Well, I’ll have to go now,” Yennefer said. With that, the call ended. Josephine took a deep breath in an attempt to remove all of the messy thoughts from her mind.
What she needed to do next was to be happy.
In the evening, after coaxing Danny and Manny to sleep, Josephine went to the living room to wait for Ragnar to come back.
It was already ten o’clock, but Ragnar was yet to return. Moreover, his phone was off.
Josephine could not help but feel nervous and worried.

Chapter 100
It was strange.
Usually, Ragnar arrived home at nine o’clock at the latest. Yet, it was already ten o’clock, and there was still no sight of him.
Josephine did not think much about it as she thought he was probably still busy with work. While waiting for his return, she fell asleep in the living
room.
It was already one o’clock in the morning when Ragnar arrived at the mansion. As soon as he entered the living room, he saw Josephine sleeping on
the couch.
Ragnar’s heart instantly melted upon seeing her.
“Was she waiting for me to come home? The weather has turned chilly lately. Isn’t she afrald of catching a cold?” he thought.
Ragnar walked to Josephine and stared down at her.
Under the warm light, her beautiful and charming face was vividly set off.
He had to admit that she was really beautiful.
With light movements, he squatted down and stroked her hair with his slender fingers. Each and every movement was done with extreme gentleness.
It felt good to see her as soon as he got home.
Unconsciously, a smile graced his lips.
Ragnar then bent down and scooped her up.
Josephine was startled. Her eyes shot open when she felt herself being lifted from the couch.
It was only when she saw Ragnar that she let out a breath of relief.
Rubbing her sleepy eyes, she said, “You’re back.”
“Why didn’t you sleep in the room?” Ragnar asked.
Josephine grinned as she replied, “I was waiting for you.”
“Do you need something?” Ragnar asked.
He knew Josephine. She would not have taken the initiative to wait for him out of the blue.
The thought made Ragnar feel slightly disappointed.
“Yeah,” Josephine replied. She was not planning to deny it.
She had come down from Ragnar’s arms while they were talking. “Have you eaten?”
“I’m hungry,” Ragnar replied.
“What do you want to eat?” Josephine instantly asked upon hearing his response. “I’ll make it for you.”
Ragnar stretched out his hand and pulled her into his arms. Their bodies were flush against each other. “With such beauty in front of me, what do you think I’m craving?”
Josephine was rendered speechless.
Josephine was a blushing mess as he finished his words.
Ragnar stared at Josephine. At that moment, he wanted nothing more than to take a bite of her blushing face.
Without waiting for Josephine to reply, Ragnar had already scooped her up in his arms once more and made a beeline to the bedroom.
He kicked open the bedroom door and kicked it close again.
He gently laid Josephine on the bed and leaned over her with eyes filled with flames of desire.
Josephine tried to speak, but her voice was instantly swallowed by Ragnar’s kiss.
His hands worked magic, and soon their clothes were scattered across the ground as the pair thrived in the throes of passion.
Two hours later, Josephine was carried by Ragnar to take a shower and was then gently laid on the bed once again.
Josephine did not fall asleep directly as how she would usually. Instead, she remained wide awake.
“Tell me, what do you need from me?” Ragnar asked.
All the initiatives she took that night nearly made him lose his sanity. Fortunately, he had amazing self–control, which helped him hold on for so long.
After all, she was never one to take the initiative, let alone remain awake after a night of passion.
Without a doubt, Josephine’s actions were because she wanted to ask a favor from him.
Nevertheless, he was satisfied with her actions.
Chapter 100
Josephine sat up and looked at Ragnar seriously. “Ragnar, Aunt Yennefer’s divorce has no progress at all. Jonathan keeps insisting on not getting a divorce. That’s why I wanted to ask if you know any lawyers who are good with divorce cases?”
Truth be told, Josephine was quite embarrassed to ask him for a favor as she had sought help from him the last time.
After all, she was unclear about the current relationship status between them.
“That’s it?” Ragnar asked. He was surprised she would go so far as to please him for such a small matter.
Josephine nodded. “Yes, that’s all.”
“Go to sleep,” Ragnar said gently as he stroked her silky black hair.
