Chapter Fiancé Uncle 99
Chapter 99
Their behavior was purely disgusting.
A hand extended from the window of the teal race car ahead, flipping her the middle finger in a clear act of insult.
Amid the roaring of the car engines, Thea could even hear the sound of a man laughing mockingly.
Thea sneered to herself, 'How childish.'
She slowed down.
The two men, thinking she was giving up, grew even more smug
But to their surprise, the next second, Thea swerved around the car to her right, executing a flawless drift and overtaking them on the curve.
Like a nimble snake, she maneuvered effortlessly between the two cars locked in their battle.
The crowd erupted into loud applause.
Thea felt a rush of satisfaction.
It was true. People could only truly unleash their nature when they were doing what they loved.
As expected, she won the race.
Her name, which had never been seen on the leaderboard before, now appeared among the top three.
Thea had just gotten out of her car when trouble found her.
It was the same two guys who had blocked her earlier.
One was fat, the other thin, and both wore cold expressions.
Thea cautiously took two steps back, trying to maintain a calm smile. "Sirs, it was just a race. I'm not holding a grudge over your unfriendly actions, and there's no need for you to trouble me. After all, it wouldn't look good for you to be picking on a woman, would it?" The fat one seemed furious, his eyes blazing with anger.
The thin one smirked creepily. "Miss Rowland, don't worry. We know why you're here. Our boss wants to meet you."
Thea finally noticed the tattoos on their necks.
Though this was part of her plan, the thought of meeting this particular group still made her feel uneasy
The thin man gave a sinister smile. "If you're scared, you can leave now, and we'll pretend none of this ever happened. But I'll give you a little heads-up. Sometimes, what our boss wants isn't money."
Thea clenched her fists. 'Since Emmalie was willing to go so far for me, it's only right I.return the favor,' she wondered.
With a slight smile, her eyes calmed. "Then, I'll trouble you to lead the way."
At the top of the hill stood a mansion, far more luxurious than it appeared from the outside.
As soon as Thea stepped inside, she felt countless eyes on her.

However, she didn't see many people in the grand hall.
It was clear that someone was watching her from the shadows.
:0000, 87%#
It seemed that Emmalie had hired the worst batch of people. If Emmalie had hired a better group of people, Thea wouldn't have escaped so easily.
Thea took the elevator to the top floor, which housed an executive office, impeccably neat and orderly.
There was no trace of this being an office for a shady organization.
Once they brought Thea here, the two men shut the door behind them.
Only three people were left in the room.
Thea's nerves tightened immediately. She clenched her hands, trying to stay calm.
She turned and smiled at the two men. "Excuse me, where's your boss? It's not too much to ask to meet him, is it?"
The thin one sneered. "You can see the boss, but unfortunately, we're both in a bad mood. So tell me. Don't you should let us blow off some steam first?"
think
you
The fat one was already cracking his knuckles, the sound echoing through the room. "Yeah, no one here dares to disrespect the two of us. Even if you hadn't won that race, you'd still get to meet the boss. But you went and did something reckless. Now you have to pay the Thea's smile slowly faded from her face.
Thea's expression remained cold as she emphasized, "I've already said it. You provoked me first. If it had been a fair race, none of this would have happened, right?"
It was clear that the two men were not the kind who could be reasoned with.
Sensing the tension escalating, Thea raised her voice. "Since you had your men bring me here to see you, that means you're open to a deal. Is this how you treat your guests?"
Sure enough, a cool, pleasant male laugh echoed in the room.
A hidden door in the study opened, and a slender figure stepped out, dressed in a suit, with slightly long hair and smooth skin.
His face was so stunning that Thea was momentarily confused about his gender.
It wasn't until she saw the predatory gleam in his eyes and the red serpent coiled around his neck that she confirmed her guess. He was Corey Sandy, the leader of this organization.
Corey casually perched himself on the desk, his posture relaxed.
He lifted his eyelids lazily, casting a cold glance at Thea, though there was a trace of amusement in his gaze. "What my two men said wasn't wrong. You've got a lot of nerve, trying to push them around. That's pretty annoying, you know?"
Thea remained unfazed. "Annoying, huh? Fine, then I won't bother you anymore. I'm just here to do business, not to act like I'm begging for a favor. The process is already complicated enough, and with such a bad attitude, I might just leave a bad review."
Corey was momentarily stunned by her words.
Every
who came to him for help was always respectful.

After all, while they didn't engage in murder or arson, they certainly weren't strangers to other illegal activities.
As long as the money or reward was enough, they could handle even the toughest jobs.
But the woman in front of him didn't seem to be bluffing. Her arrogance appeared genuine.
Corey felt a flicker of anger. Does she really think we're just a backup option?' he thought.
He sneered and walked up to Thea. "Tell me. What do you want us to do for you?"
Thea nodded. "It's simple. The first thing..."
She turned and pointed at the two men behind her. "Teach them a lesson. They almost killed me on the racetrack. So, go ahead. What do you want in return?"
The two men's faces immediately darkened, looking shocked.
What Thea said wasn't an exaggeration. Had her driving skills been just a bit worse, she would have crashed.
At that speed, even surviving would have left her crippled.
Corey emphasized, "But Miss Rowland, you remember that before every race, participants sign a contract. Did you forget about that?"
Thea's eyes turned cold. "Yes, the contract is clear. It covers accidents. But what those two did was
deliberate, wasn't it? How is that considered an accident? They probably thought they could intimidate me because I'm a woman, right? Trying to boost their egos by messing with me?"
"You..." The fat man was enraged and rolled up his sleeves, about to strike her.
Corey didn't say a word but gave the fat man a cold glance.
Instantly, the fat man deflated but still tried to defend himself, unwilling to back down. "Isn't she perfectly fine? Besides, she should just take the hit and move on. Now she's making us look bad on purpose. How is that fair?" Thea didn't respond, merely smirking faintly.
Corey took a deep breath, and his tone grew even colder. "You two, go downstairs and take your punishment."
The thin man and the fat man looked at Corey in disbelief.
Though clearly unhappy, they seemed to fear him, and with darkened faces and lowered heads, they left the room.
Thea's mood lifted considerably. "So, do I need to pay for this?"
