Drowing In Mr. Scott's Love

Chapter 2 How Can You Please Me?

Abby Miller was stunned and said uncertainly, "About half an hour?"

"Probably? Lady, don't you understand the meaning of drunken mistake?"

The man suddenly sneered, "When a man is drunk, he is usually very impatient. He won't take half an hour for foreplay. Besides, when someone is going to have sex, I don't think he will specially fold his clothes neatly?"

Pointing at Abby Miller's neatly folded clothes on the bedside table, the man finally concluded, "So, based on these two points, I'm sure that you are lying!"

Abby Miller was rendered speechless by his analysis.

She didn't expect that a drunken person would be so calm and shrewd after waking up.

His question seemed to be careless, but there was a trap hidden in it, so that all her lies would collapse.

Richard Scott was too dreadful!

Abby Miller didn't know what expression she should put on to face Richard Scott. She clutched the coverlet tightly with her hands, her panicked and uneasy face full of flaws.

Richard Scott narrowed his eyes as he gazed at her appearance. She wasn't stunning in appearance, but when her facial features were combined together, she looked very delicate. Her entire expression gave off a sense of inexperienced youth. Her figure had not completely matured yet, but her proportion was well-balanced, and her temperament was particularly fresh and otherworldly.

This girl looked pleasing to the eye, but her behavior made Richard Scott feel a little unhappy.

"I'll ask you again. What's your purpose of approaching me?" He asked aggressively.

Abby Miller bit her lip and raised her head after a long while. With a faint pleading look in her eyes, she said, "Can you not remove the old town? There is an orphanage there. Once the house is removed, all orphans will be forced to separate. That is our home. Can you please not deprive us of our last home?"

"The old town?"

Richard Scott seemed to think about it for a few seconds. Then, he said with an indifferent expression, "That's it? The development rights of the old town have been decided and the company has already given the best compensation. The government will also plan their whereabouts. When will they be homeless?"

"You don't understand. For the orphans who grew up there, that is their last home."

Abby Miller emphasized the importance of the orphanage very seriously and then said, "Mr. Scott, although I don't know much about business, there is little visitors flow in the old town, it should not be of much value for development. So, can you reserve the development rights there? Or can you reserve the orphanage area?"

"Impossible!"

Richard Scott refused without even thinking. His eyes were filled with mockery as he said, "I'm a businessman. Business is business. My company has already started planning for that area last year. It will become the largest commercial street in Burnley in the future. Therefore, all the old houses that have not been repaired for a long time must be removed, of course... including the orphanage!"

Abby Miller's heart skipped a beat when he heard Richard Scott's casual tone.

Was there really no hope?

No, she had already come this far. How could she give up like this?

Thinking of this, Abby Miller gritted her teeth and met Richard Scott's eyes boldly. She said, "Mr. Scott, please think about it carefully. Are you hardhearted enough to see those children separate? If it really doesn't work, I'll exchange for it. Can I exchange it with you? No matter if it's ten years, twenty years, or a lifetime, as long as you reserve the development right of the orphanage, I can do anything for you!" "You want to exchange it with me?"

As if he had heard something interesting, Richard Scott instantly raised his eyes and approached her. He asked, "What do you know? How can you please me?"☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
