Chapter 1883

"Understood."

The butler quickly brought out some masks, and everyone listened to Charmine's advice, putting one on themselves.

Seeing how horrified everyone seemed, Charmine sternly explained, "I'm going to the switch room to cut out the electricity. There's a metal door by the switch room to get out of the mansion. Everyone, follow me."

Senior Jordan frowned. "Charmine, electricity surges in every door, and the switch room is the most dangerous of all places. We mustn't go."

Joey was distressed. "The gas will explode when there's electricity. The switch room is the easiest place to explode of all..." "We have to go!" interjected Charmine resolutely. She looked at everyone present and said, her voice stern and grim altogether, "It's the only way out. If we can get out, everyone gets a chance to stay alive. Staying here will only kill us!"

Everyone listened with terror.

"I believe in my sister," Robert was first to declare. "I'll go with you!"

Amelia, meanwhile, was still apprehensive of the situation. "Charmine, do you even have any other ideas? Don't send us to our deaths, why don't you."

Lily added, "Who knows, maybe we won't die here, but we might just if we follow you!"

Charmine looked at them coldly. "In that case, stay here and die!"

She then turned and went to retrieve insulating plastic clothes from the mansion.

Robert looked at her and said, "I'll go into the switch room with you, Sis."

Charmine turned to gaze at him. A pleasant smile spread across her face, but she firmly declined, "No, I will go in myself. All of you stay behind me, and don't mess up!"

She did not wait for anyone to respond as she-noticing how worried yet confident in the way they looked at her-turned and walked away.

Senior Jordan, Joey, and Robert followed behind her. They trusted her fully.

Lily and Amelia, on the other hand, had no choice but to follow.

None of them knew when the mansion would explode when the gas became thickly concentrated!

Instead of waiting to die here, they would rather gamble their lives by following Charmine.

The switch room was located in the most secluded corner of the mansion.

They had to get over a wall with high-current running across to get there.

Charmine looked at the wall taller than her and narrowed her eyes.

The worried Robert walked up toward Charmine and said, "Give me those clothes, Sis. Let me do it."

Charmine's red lips curved into a

smile. "Thanks for offering, but let me do it," "Be very careful, Charmine," pleaded Senior Jordan. "If something isn't right, come back right away." "I know, Grandpa."

Charmine fixed her clothes and walked up to the high-current wall. Without any hesitation, she reached out to touch it.

Instantly, they heard something popping as electricity sparked.

Charmine, having donned the insulating clothes, was safe even as sparks flew. However, the burning sparks fell onto her fair skin like a burning candle wax, hurting her.

Everyone saw the sparks on her and felt their hearts leaping to their throats.

They were so worried that she would be fried.

Senior Jordan's lips were trembling. "Charmine, come back! This is too dangerous!"

"Let me go! can get over it! If anything happens, just... think of it as me

Charmine remained calm. She climbed up there and looked at the crowd." Don't worry; I'll bring you all to leave here safely."

Her voice was stable as she reassured them.

Her pace then quickened as she grabbed the holes and climbed up quickly.

Despite the sparks emitted, she kept her composure as she scaled up the wall.

The crowd wanted to help, but they could not. They could only watch.

Joey and Robert looked at how selfless Charmine was, how she wanted to save them all. They felt immensely guilty and regretful.

If only time could go back, they would not spoil the evil Tiffany. They owed Charmine too much!
