The inn had a dirty environment with a slight moldy smell. When she opened the

window and locked them up while pulling the blinds.
Then, she turned around and glanced at the two on the couch. She approached them
and coaxed them, “Babies, we’re going to have a rough few days.”
Since Ethan did not give her a lot of money and was unsure when she could return
home with the children, she dared not overspend. Most importantly, she was afraid to
bring them to expensive hotels. That was because Bane would check those places to
find her.
Fortunately, her children were obedient and had no opinion about staying in such a
place. They even tried several ways to cheer her up when they noticed she looked
down.

Having been on the road for the whole day, Victoria was tired but afraid to head outside,
so she asked the inn’s owner to bring her some food. The owner brought over some
cheese and ham and also considerately gifted some goat’s milk to Victoria’s children.
“The environment here isn’t great, but these are all homemade, and the milk is freshly
squeezed. It’s for the kids.”

The children began eating while Victoria was still thinking about the phone. It seemed
