Kala POV
"Where are you going? Ezra starts walking with me.
"I need to stop Father..."
"Luna!"
"Just...stay here with Alora. Please Ezra, as long as she is here, he can't get to her."
I don't wait for Ezra to confirm that he will follow my request, I'm too hasty in my exit. Running in the direction of the alpha house. Father can do what he pleases for all I care, cut his heart out and feed it to the fish, but anything he does do will cause Alora distress. "Father?" I push on his mind-link as I run as fast as I can towards him.
"Stay with Alora!" He replies.
"Father, if you kill him...forget the surgery..she won't survive. They are mates."
He blocks me out and I curse out loudly, as I run past children playing in the manmade sand pit I had constructed a few weeks back.
As I close the distance on the Alpha house I find warriors stood in a circle, my Father standing in the middle with Than and his beta Zane.
Zane seems to be concentrating on the house and when I follow his line of vision, he is looking at Freya staring at him from the sitting room window. "What do you want?" Father snarls out.
I have come for my mate!" Than demands, his shoulders stretching out and his chin held high.
"You've been keeping her from me, holding her against her will."
"Oh I have, have 1?" Father chuckles sarcastically, trying to agitate Than..trying to get a f

He was goading Than to attack him, so that Father can say he killed through self defence... Father was a clever man, he knew how to work the system.
"Give her back to me!" Than growls out, his posture starting to show the tell tale sign of an imminent attack.
"Alora is a pack member now, she willingly joined my pack..."
"You must have manipulated her, blackmailed her. There's no way she would have abandoned my pack, the pack she is the Luna of... her family pack. Now where the fuck is she? I swear to the moon goddess if you've laid a finger on her I'll burn your pack to the ground." "Really? You and what army?" Father scoffs as he gives the signal for his warriors to move in.

"My warriors are poised, waiting for my command. We can spare your lives if you give me Alora now!" Than's face was starting to turn red from his anger, his hands clasping into fists at his side...only earning a scoff from Father. Than was threatening a seasoned Alpha, whereas to Father, Than was like a child.
"Fetch Alora for me!" Father commands a warrior not taking his eyes off Than once.
"Father...no!" I quietly plead with him through the mind-link..his eyes finding me as I remain back.
"And my female beta, Freya!" Than commands.
"Freya is free to go as she pleases...fetch her!" Father nods to another of the warriors who heads into the Alpha house and within seconds walks back outside with Freya.
"As you can see I have done as you asked. There is no need for hostility...why don't you come inside while Alora is on her way."
"Kaia Kaia...what's going on?" Alora pushes on my mind-link.
"Than's here!"
"What? I'm coming..."
I try to tell her to stay back, to keep away but she has already cut the link and refusing me entry.
What do I do? If he enters the house he won't come back out alive.
That's what I want, that's what I need...but....what will it do to Alora.
They say you cannot survive losing a mate, that in time it eats away at the body and mind. Unless you take on a chosen mate, a second mate to help fill that void.
That's why I've always been in awe of Father's strength he has survived.
"Father!" I roar out, my Luna aura exiting from me as I walk into the clearing. I need Than to know I'm not the same person anymore, that here...I am the Luna by right and by strength.
"Kaia?" Than seems shocked by my presence here, his eyes looking between Father and I.
"Father?" He looks to Beckett, his eyebrows furrowing.
"My daughters...Kaia...and ah...Alora!" He smiles as Alora arrives from behind me...she and Ezra standing by my side. Than's upper lip curls into a snarl baring his teeth at Ezra. He'll now know Hector beat him to

"My twins..." Father exclaims arms stretch out as if revealing a new invention.
"Than?" Her voice cracks at his name.
"Alora?" Than charges forward pushing one of the warriors aside but is soon held back by 6 of our fighters at the snap of Father's figures.
"Get off me!" Than roars in his desperation to get to Alora.
"I've been waiting for this!" Father walks to Than, his hands rubbing together in an open clasp.

"Take them to the cells!" He roars at his group of warriors who have now also captured Zane in a similar tight hold.
"No!" Alora yells from next to me, her feet moving and I brace myself for her protest towards Father but she does quite the opposite.
Her actions taking me and it seems Than, completely by surprise.
She walks up to him, the warriors releasing him....Than's arms rising to touch her face. But before they get the chance she punches him, square on in the nose with as much strength as she can muster. Chapter 0139
