RF (Random Fact)

I wrote this chapter while watching Twilight.

“What are you even talking about?” Adrian asked, growing exasperated.

“It all makes perfect sense, the battle, the kidnapping, all of it.”

Atlas sighs deeply at me. “How? How don’t you know that this isn’t apart of some sick, malicious game?” Atlas asked.

“I just know. I mean put it together. Why would Codine take only girls from your pack and Adrian’s?”

“Which so happen to be the two strongest packs.” Jane butted in, her eyes slightly sharpening.

Adrian growls deeply and spins around on his heels and walks away from us. Atlas, the others and I, all follow Adrian, who leads us into a small, very bland room. The walls are a beige color, there is a small, black, leather couch, some satin red, fluffy pillows to complement it. There is a small dark, wooden desk, a laptop perched on top along with a few items such as papers, pens, exc. The walls had no paintings aside from one, a black and white flower.

“What are we doing in here?” Jane asked, looking around the room curiously.

Adrian turns to look at her, his eyes slightly narrowed. “Privacy.” He said bluntly.

Atlas takes a deep sigh, rolling his eyes in the process. “What Mr. Rude means is that this room is private, keeps people out, the walls are soundproof, nobody can hear on the inside, yet we can hear on the outside.”

“So, why was it necessary we come in here?” Zoey asked, earning a slight frown from Atlas.

“I don’t trust the pack members here,” Adrian said, then turning to Atlas. “Sorry, I just have a raw feeling.” Atlas dismisses it, looks to me.

“What should we do?”

I think for a moment. We can’t attack Codine, he’ll be expecting that. It has to be sudden, out of the blue. Then, it hits me like a lightbulb.

“Who does Codine think will attack?” I asked, looking at both alpha’s.

“Us?” Adrian answered, raising his eyebrow questionably.

“Right, so he wouldn’t expect any of us girls to go attack, now would he?” I asked, slowly getting to the point.

Adrian shakes his head immediately. “I will not let you out of my sight again.”

“Ad-“

“I said no.” Adrian demanded sternly, eyes sharp.

“Defy him.” The voice whispered, slightly startling me. I recover smoothly with a cough.

“Can we eat?” I asked, realizing my roaring stomach. I look at the few girls with us. They look beat, they need medical attention immediately.

“Atlas, make sure these girls go to the pack doctor. Jane, are you alright or do you need the pack doctor?” I asked, eyeing her carefully.

She shakes her head and offers a smile. “I’m good.”

“What about you, Cambria?” I asked.

“I don’t think so. I just need something to eat and drink, I’ll be alright.” Cambria chirped. It amazes me how strong these women are. I mistakenly called them girls, they’re not. These are women, warriors.

“Alright, Adrian why don’t you take Angel, Cam, and Jane to the kitchen.” Atlas said. “Now, you ladies come with me. I will take you to the pack doctor.” Atlas added, looking at the other girls, including Zoey who did not look too pleasaed.

“Come find us when you are better, if possible.” Jane said to her sister; Zoey.

“I will.” Zoey whispered.

Atlas, Zoey and the other girls walked out leaving us four behind.

“Take us to eat.” I demanded, a small grin on my face.

Adrian raises an eyebrow at me. “You’re naked? You sure?” He asked.

I blush fiercely and look around awkwardly. “Okay, well we can go change then take us to eat.”

Jane has a small smile on her face, she grabs my arm and begins dragging me out with Cambria trailing along us. “Let’s go.”

After we go to her room and change, we walk back together, Jane leading us to the kitchen where a few pack members already are. Atlas’s pack really are unique. One girl has two different colored eyes! Another girl has really long, snow white hair. Then, there is a boy with cat-like eyes.

“Woah, you’re eyes are wicked.” I murmured, sitting next to the guy.

The guy barely spares a glance before nodding his head in acknowledgement. I am taken back by his rudeness, I just gave you a compliment? Don’t I deserve a thank you?

“Excuse me?” I said, tapping cat dudes shoulder.

His sighs and looks at me, annoyance written all over his face. “What do you want, girl?” He has a very thick accent, it sounds brazilian.

“I want some respect! One, I complimented you, two I have a name, three, well I don’t have a third but don’t look at me annoyed.” I snapped, rage fuming.

He rolls his eyes and looks away at me. I follow his gaze to a girl who’s on the opposite side of the kitchen. She’s the with the long hair.

“Is she your mate?” I asked, whispering.

Cat dude looks at me for a moment before nodding swiftly. “Why aren’t you with her?” I asked curiously.

“She is too young.” Cat dude said, a twinge of sadness in his voice.

“How old?” I asked, staring at the girl curiously. She’s next to some other girl and they l0ok like their gossiping. She must be sixteen.

“Sixteen.” Ah, hit the head right on the nail.

“Oh, I’m sorry. I’m Angel.” I introduced,

Cat dude looked away from his mate over to me. “I know who you are. You’ve been the talk of this pack, along with your friends.”

“I bet. Who are you?” I asked with a blank face.

“Kyle.” He answered, not paying any mind to me anymore.

“Nice to meet you Kyle, what’s your mates name?” I try keeping the conversation with him, he seems fairly interesting.

“Her name is Mila.” He answered, staring at his little mate in awe.

“She’s beautiful.” I said, staring at Mila. Her hair really captivates you but once you look at her face it’s where her true beauty begins. She has flawless, m0on light skin. Beautiful crystal blue eyes, a small, petite nose. She’s slim, very petite frame.

“Indeed. Where is your mate?” Kyle asked.

I look around the large kitchen which now has more people in it. I spot Cambria and Jane with a few other girls from before sitting at the long dining table with food in front of them. It takes me a bit to find Adrian but I soon find him amongst Atlas and the higher ranked wolves.

“He’s on the Alpha Atlas’s right.” I said, making sure I used Atlas’s respected name.

“You’re the alpha’s mate?” He asked, looking shocked.

“Yup, Alpha Adrian.” I said, watching Adrian. He talks with the higher ranked wolves with a very focused look on his face. Reality hits me, I realize I need to talk to the girls. “It was nice meeting you Kyle, I need to get back to my friends. I wish you and Mila the best of luck.” I said, beginning to walk away.

“Angel!” Kyle called out, causing me to stop and look over my shoulder.

“Thanks.” He said, a smug smile on his face.

I roll my eyes playfully and walk towards the dining table. The girls look up from their plates.

“What are we going to do?” Jane asked, jumping right into everything. Atta girl.

“Who are you?” I asked, looking at the two girls sitting beside Cambria.

“I’m June, this is my sister Jalyn.” One introduced. June was fair skinned, curly blonde hair, blue eyes. Her sister exactly similar except more petite.

“Nice to meet you, I’m Angel.” I said, although I am sure they already knew me.

“So?” Jane asked, bringing back the topic.

“I have a plan, but I can’t do it alone.” What a pride killer.

“What?” Cambria asked nervously. She brings her left hand up and starts nibbling on her pinky fingers nail. New nickname, nervous Nelly.

“I want to attack Codine, but not your typical fight.” I said, eyes gleaming with mischief.

“I’m interested.” Jane said, raising an eyebrow.

“Why fight, kill off some of his pack members? Why not bomb the place, and destroy it?”

Cambria immediately begins shaking her head. “No, no, no.”

“I’m in.” Jane said, a small wicked grin on her face.

This is no longer a simple game, it’s a game of war.

“People have the right to call themselves whatever they like. That doesn’t bother me. It’s other people doing the calling that bothers me.”
