Chapter 31 Return Without Work
On the expressway, streams of car kept driving. There was a dead silence in the Land Rover. Holding the steering wheel, Lisa felt creepy, as if there was no one behind her.
Leaning against the window, Olivia looked out of the window at the receding figures. The gentle wind made her feel comfortable, but she was not in a good mood. What Flynn said was true. The love between them for five years was in vain and they lost miserably.
"Olivia, you should have some food." Sylvia bought a lot of food before getting on the car. She had planned to stay for one night before returning, but she insisted on not staying here.
Lisa also persuaded, "Olivia, how about drink some milk? Don't think about it anymore. You have the answer you want, and we have no regret. It is not difficult to find a man with two legs."
"Don't try to persuade her like that, Olivia. Don't listen to her nonsense. It's too easy for you to find a man a hundred times better than Flynn. I'll introduce a good man to you when we get back." Sylvia patted Lisa's beastie and asked her to focus on driving.
Olivia was amused by them. "I'm fine. I just need to reflect on myself after a relationship ends. Do you think I'm very good? I haven't slept with him for almost five years. My persistence is the reason why he betrayed me. It seems that I really don't know men well."
"I have to give you a thumbs up. You are too arrogant. I thought you and he had been together for a long time. No wonder you just smiled awkwardly and didn't say anything when we talked about this topic. Bu it's okay. Since you don't have a relationship with him, it's reasonable. But I still have to persuade you not to be so conservative."
Embarrassed by Sylvia's teasing, she pretended to be indifferent and said, "I haven't had sex yet. It's not a big deal. It's done in minutes."
All of a sudden, the two of them burst into laughter, and all of them finally were happy again.
If the absurd reason for their breakup was an indirect reason, then the direct reason was no more than an irreconcilable difference. Both of their parents couldn't leave each other, and perhaps their first thought was that one of them would compromise and move. But for the old people who lived in familiar cities, it was absolutely a big change and couldn't be bothered.
What's more, his parents against them together, there were too many tiny factors that could not be solved simply by saying "I love you". Just like what Flynn said, if we were all independent individuals, no matter how long he would wait for sex until the day he married her. But they are not children, and they can't be too selfish.
Lisa's phone rang, "Sylvia, I have my bag behind. Answer it for me."
Looking at the screen, Sylvia smiled and said, "Look, before we find him, he call our door first."
"Hey, don't scream. I'm not your baby. Lisa is driving. If you have something to tell her, I can convey. How about I release it outside and you guys have a talk?" Although she was asking for advice, the cunning Sylvia had already opened the voice.
"I'm fine. Please convey the message to her. I'll wait for her to come back."
Sylvia tittered, "that's it? It's okay to say something sweet.
The man on the other side of the phone smiled awkwardly, "No problem. I've heard about you from her a long time ago. I will treat you when you are come back."
"Just wait for your answer. Don't worry. I will tell her that you miss her." Sylvia hung up the phone quickly.
Noticing that the Lisa's face turned red, Olivia said, "It sounds very simple, not like your boss."
"All businessmen nowadays are like this. Peace breeds wealth. So is your boss. This car is really good to drive. I'll buy it someday." Lisa thought it was a wise choice to change her job. She not only gained love, but also enjoyed a discount to buy a car.
Sylvia felt depressed. She was chewing the milk film and browsing the moments. Her disappearance didn't change Rain at all. He was still working and playing. It was time for her to give up. In the law office.
"Mr. Jackson, I can't get in touch with Miss Cassie. Her agent said that she has no time to deal with it. She asked us to contact her later."
Putting down the pen, Jackson stood up, crossed his arms and thought about something. Didn't Cassie want to divorce?
"Have you sent the agreement? Tell her to sign it. It will not waste her time. Ask her to make a request if she has. It will out of date if she don't contact us."
Jackson had no choice. At first, he
.n
wanted Dick's property to be notarized before marriage. But this time, it had to be peeled off. He deserved it. No matter how hard Jackson tried to persuade him, it was useless.
"Mr. Jackson, a lawyer is really an unwelcome career. Her assistant hung up the phone directly when she know it's me. If I call again, maybe it will be an empty number." The assistant said.
Of course he knew that his assistant had trouble. Jackson nodded, "Then I'll meet her in person."
On the film set, the women were dressed in cheongsam in groups of three to five. They were ready in all aspects, waiting for the main character to come, but no one was seen.
"Did you urge me? What time is it now?" The director was unhappy and threw the script on the table.
At the backstage, Tina kept passing
tissues to Cassie and said, "Well, don't cry. You have put on makeup three times. It's a rare opportunity. If you still like this, you will lose the
opportunity. Don't ruin your future,
okay?"
"I can't control myself. I don't want to lose Dick. I want to cry every time I think of leaving him." Cassie didn't sleep well last night. Since he was so good to her, there was nothing to be unsatisfied with.
Tina threw down the piece of paper
and said, "Cassie, I'm really pissed off by you. How could you succeed? If I had known you would do this, l would not have pinned the treasure on you. You are not a king at all if you want to stand on the stage, you have to pay the price. Marriage is not the only thing. When you become famous, you will still be easily caught."
"Besides, since you believe in Mr. Dick's love for you so much, you can come back to him when you become famous. He won't be a fool to have a beautiful wife with both fame and fortune."
It made sense. She had worked hard for two years, and it wouldn't be difficult for her to come back to Dick. He would definitely love her again.
"Can you stop it? The director is angry."
With a smile on Tina's face, she said, "I'll be right there." She had been cleaning up the mess for Cassie all day long.
With a look at her make-up, Cassie hurried to follow the crowd.
The phone rang again. Tina frowned and asked, "Hello, who's that?"
"I am the representative lawyer of Mr. Dick. I want to..."
Before the man could finish his words, Tina interrupted, "Let's make an appointment."
Jackson smiled. It was not that difficult to deal with it. He could solve it as long as he was willing to come out. "I'm at the gate of your film set. Please come out, Miss Cassie."
There were always reporters at the door. If he was found to be a lawyer, Cassie would be ruined. She quickly comforted him, "There is a cafe across the road. I willl see you in ten minutes."¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶
