Defeating My Ex-Husband by Tracy Estrada ( Colton Zeller )

Chapter 84

Chapter 84 I Want To Marry Yoel

Chapter 84 I Want To Marry Yoel

Yoel’s gaze fell on the third figure beside Lukas and Luna.

That figure had been hidden in the shadows, revealing only a vague outline, so Cynthia hadn’t noticed it.

“What’s wrong?” Cynthia looked at Yoel. With his brows furrowed deeply, the latter called Anna. “Where is Fergus?”

In no time, a panic–stricken Anna informed Yoel that Fergus was missing.

Cynthia and Yoel exchanged glances. A name simultaneously flashed across their minds- Lynda.

Meanwhile, Colton also received news from the Zeller family that the children were likely taken to an abandoned warehouse in the suburbs.

“I’m going with you,” Cynthia cried out, stopping Colton, who had turned around and was about to leave. For the first time, she softened her expression toward Colton. “They are my children. I need to go.”

Colton cast her a casual glance and tossed her a weapon for self–defense. “Let’s go.”

“Wait for me!” Yoel also hurriedly rushed out. He had a feeling that the matter might likely be related to him.

With a cold snort, Colton swiftly rolled up the car window and promptly drove away.

Behind Yoel, Timothy walked up with a smile. “Mr. Zabielski, why don’t you ride in my car?”

Yoel climbed into the car, his face as dark as thunder.

Don’t worry. My men have already surrounded the warehouse. If those people try to harm the children, they’ll intervene immediately,” Colton suddenly said in a deep voice upon seeing Cynthia maintaining her silence throughout the drive.

Cynthia nodded slightly, her gaze continuously scanning outside the car window. It was as if she was searching for a point of reference but just couldn’t seem to find one.

Just when Colton thought that she would remain silent, she suddenly spoke.

“When I was giving birth to Lukas and Luna, I had obstructed labor that led to shock, and my heartbeat even ceased for a time. It was the doctor placing them on my chest and having me listen to their cries that pulled me back from death. They are my children.”

Even though her voice was calm, Colton’s heart inexplicably clenched. An indescribable emotion welled up in him, and he subconsciously gripped the steering wheel tighter.

A fair distance away from the warehouse, they got out of the car.

The bodyguard who had stayed behind walked over. There should be five thugs and three hostages in the warehouse at the moment. Apart from their freedom being restricted, the three children are safe. They didn’t even cry or shout.”

The bodyguards at the scene were all retired special forces personnel and had participated in numerous rescue missions. Yet, they had never encountered such obedient children.

When Cynthia heard that, her heart ached.

Struggling to maintain her composure, she asked. “Among the thugs you mentioned, is there a young woman?”

The bodyguard nodded. “Indeed, there is such a woman. Also, it seems that everyone else listens to her.”

Is it her?”

At that moment, Yoel arrived. He had found a picture of Lynda and showed it to the bodyguard. The bodyguard immediately confirmed it, answering. “Yes: That’s her.”

Just then, Cynthia’s phone began ringing. As she glanced at the caller ID. her face instantly

darkened.

“What do you want?” Cynthia asked, her brows furrowed.

Lynda’s voice came through the other end of the phone, and she snickered. Take a guess? All three of these kids are Yoel’s. Who do you think he would choose to save

“You’ve got it wrong. Lukas and Luna are not his children.” Cynthia replied calmly, curling her fingers tightly.

However, Lynda didn’t believe her words at all.

She scoffed coldly, “Do you think I’m a fool, Ms. Shelley? If Yoel isn’t their father, who is?”

Cynthia suppressed her urge to look at Colton and continued. “It doesn’t matter who their father is. I merely want to know your demand. You went to all this trouble to stage this scene, so it can’t be to see Yoel’s reaction alone, right?”

Lynda smiled charmingly. “I do have a demand. I want to get a marriage certificate with Yoel here and for you to kneel and prostrate yourself before me three times.”
