Defeating My Ex-Husband by Tracy Estrada ( Colton Zeller )

Chapter 79

Chapter 79 Custody

Seeing his gaze fall on Luna, Cynthia took a swift step forward, positioning herself between the two. “I won’t agree with your proposal. You should leave.”

Colton glanced at her nonchalantly. “You should know there’s nothing I set out to do that I can’t achieve. Besides-”

Before his words had even finished echoing, Luna, who was beside him, became agitated once again. She stretched out her small hand, persistently pushing him.

As she pushed him away, she cried out, “If you don’t leave now, I’ll have my godfather, Uncle Yoel, come and take you away! You big baddie!”

The color drained from Colton’s face when he realized that the godfather Luna was referring to was Yoel.

Luna was far too emotional, and Colton didn’t want to start off on the wrong foot with the kids on the very first day. He looked deeply into Cynthia’s eyes and said, “Someone will come. tomorrow to take you for a DNA paternity test. You should know that running away is futile.”

After this period of back and forth, Colton was seventy percent certain that Lukas and Luna were his children.

Cynthia’s expression subtly shifted, protectively guiding Luna behind her with a sense of caution. “You could give it a shot and see if I would actually grant your wish.”

The two then parted ways on bad terms.

As Colton left, Cynthia watched his retreating figure, lost in thought.

She knew very well that with Colton’s capabilities, obtaining the children’s samples for a DNA paternity test would be a piece of cake. The reason he came to her that day was merely to give her one last chance.

After comforting Luna, Cynthia dialed Arthur’s number on her phone.

Meanwhile, Yoel returned to the Zabielski residence, only to find a tense atmosphere in the living room. Anna, clutching Fergus‘ hand tightly, had taken a seat on the left side of the room. Lynda, on the other hand, sat alone on the right side, a solitary figure in the standoff.

“We’ve already consulted with a lawyer.” Anna glared at Lynda furiously. “If I were to battle you for custody. I would have had a high chance of winning.”

Lynda, however, responded with a faint smile. “Is that so? Then I suppose we’ll meet in

court.”

After she finished speaking, she reached out, intending to hold Fergus‘ hand. “As for the child, let’s wait until the custody issues are settled before you meet again.”

Halt!” Unable to contain his anger, Yoel confronted Lynda. “You’ve been scheming all along. Hasn’t this whole charade been about money?”

Given that the child was present, Yoel didn’t want to make the conversation too uncomfortable. He said, “Name your price. We’ll keep the child:

Even if it was in the past, let alone then, once he noticed the strange tension between Fergus and Lynda, there was no way he would have let her just walk away with him.

Lynda slowly curled her red lips into a smile. “My demands have always been quite simple.”

Her gaze lingered on Yoel, sweeping over him repeatedly. “I want to be your wife.”

“That’s absolutely impossible.” Yoel’s face instantly darkened.

Not only did he have someone he liked, but even if he were single, he still wouldn’t agree to Lynda’s terms.

Lynda was a schemeful woman, ready to strike at any unsuspecting moment. He couldn’t possibly keep such a dangerous individual by his side.

Lynda’s expression also turned serious “If that’s the case, there’s nothing more to discuSS. Let’s go.

Anna tightly held onto Fergus hand, a plea evident in her eyes. “Please, my dear, stay,” she implored.

A look of pain flashed across Fergus face. He cast a fearful glance at Lynda, who merely responded with a faint smile. A shiver ran down Fergus spine and he quickly shook his head. “I’m sorry, Grandma,” he said. “I have to leave with Mommy

After saying his piece, he left without a backward glance, walking away with Lynda.

The very next morning, as expected. Colton indeed showed up again.

He arrived at the ward with a delicate stuffed toy and two handheld gaming devices in his grasp.

The moment she saw him, Luna positioned herself in front of Cynthia like a warrior. “What brings you here again, you big baddie?”

Colton furrowed his brows when he heard how Luna addressed him. “Is this how you teach your children? Telling them I’m a bad person?”
