Death & Dreams Book 1

All of us stayed in Germany for three months going over all the files and books the girls took from the council while letting everyone fully heal and looking for Esmeralda. Everybody is just starting to get over the fact that we're not under the council's control anymore.

That for the first time of our lives we're actually fucking free.

They couldn't tell us what we can and can't do anymore.

We're finally able to do whatever the hell we want.

I smiled as I watch Fantasy cook while hitting Mack and Chris on the head for going near her food.

I see the others in the living room watching a movie when old bobby got up and went to the garage; we decided to build on the property.

Shaw sighed as he walked down the stair and out the front door. Shaw hasn't said anything but a few words for the past three months. I decided to follow him out there.

He walked to the orchids before he said, "I know that I can't speak to my wife or daughter again but let me keep tabs on them, let me watch from a distance."

He didn't turn to look at me so I said, "You don't have to ask for my permission to watch your wife and child."

"Just say it Thantos"

I sighed, "You can keep tabs so long as you don't communicate to them anyway and don't lead a threat to our home"

Shaw nodded his head and started to walk away when Fantasy came beside me, "I'm sorry that I took you away from your family but I just wanted Thantos back. I was running out of time and patience and was planning off of fear and vengeance. I didn't think about how anyone would feel or have when the plan was done and for that I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

Her voice cracked in the end making me pull her to me hoping that I could offer some type of comfort that would hopefully stop the tears before they fell.

Shaw stood there for a few seconds before he finally turned around and stared at us with a sad expression before saying, "I understand why you did it since Sheila would've done the same thing. It's going to take me awhile for me to forgive you but just know that I understand and trust you."

Fantasy gives a small smile and nods which Shaw returned then walked away.

Once he was out of sight Fantasy whispered, "You know that you have to change his fate for him to live"

Sighing, I answered, "Yeah I know"

We walked back to the house hand in hand, heading for the kitchen.

As soon as we stepped in the room, we saw Mack and Chris burning themselves while eat the still cooking food on the stove. Fantasy narrows her eyes, grabs a frying pan off the table then slams it back down. The boys looked up at her with wide eyes than at each other, only to run out the room with Fantasy and her frying pan following.

I shook my head and watched as the three of them ran around the living room. The others are watching as well when Seb's phone goes off and he jumps off the couch, "I found her"

Lily raised an eyebrow, "found who?"

"This Esmeralda lady, that Thantos wanted to find"

I walk towards him, "where is she?"

"New York City"

Fantasy and I walked into a colorful building and was soon directed to Ms. Esmeralda room.

"Hello Fantasy and Thantos, I've been waiting for you all for a very long time"

I narrowed my eyes, "really?"

"yes and I was hoping that you trusted Amos enough to have all of you here."

Keeping my eyes on her I called Seb and told him to come with the others.

Five seconds later everyone but Old bobby and Shaw was in the room.

The woman clapped, "good now that we're all here together, let me just say that I'm Esmeralda and its lovely to finally meet you."

Mack grumbles, "Lets skip the introductions"

Esmeralda frowns and says sarcastically, "Fine, what is it that you want to know?"

I crossed my arms, "what is it that we need to do next?"

The seventy year old woman sighed, "There will be a war between you and Grims. You will lose if you don't have alliances with all of the other species. So you need to start making friends with other people."

I nodded my head and looked over to Fantasy, thinking of ways to tell her she has to stay behind.

As if she read my mind she put her hand on my cheek and whispered, "I'm never leaving your side so don't think for a second that you can leave me in Germany for my safety."

"But-"

"Nope, no negotiations"

I sighed when Esmeralda sighed again, "I just love the love between the two of you. It's something that not everybody has and to think that one day all of you will have it is kind of amazing. But the first love story is always the best because of how new and unique everything is. This is how everyone else's love story and everything after begins with the love story of Death and Dreams."
