Chapter 15
Anika's phone fell from her hand.
The rain wet her phone. Gradually, its screen went dark.
Leaning against her father's gravestone, she clasped the puppet in her arms. Facing the
cold rain, she seemed to see her father coming toward her with a kind face.
Affectionate people were idealists, and those unaffectionate were realists. Yet all people
would have regrets in the end.

Joshua was at Rafter Villa.
Anika hung up on him. Looking at his phone, he panicked.
He called back, only to hear a cold electronic reply from his phone, saying,"Sorry, the number
you dialed is disconnected at the moment, please dial later."
Joshua got up,took his coat,put it on, and was about to go out.
He paused when he reached the door.
He thought,"I'm sure Anika is playing hard-to-get!
"We are about to divorce. What do I care what she does?"
When he returned to his bedroom, for some reason, he could not sleep.
The words Anika said echoed in his mind.
She said, "If I had known...what my mother and brother did,I would never...never have chosen to marry you...
"If I had known...that you've always loved Violet...I would never have married you either...
"If I had known my dad would be in a car accident on my wedding day...I would never have married you."

Chapter 15.
Joshua got up and came to Anika's door unconsciously.
More than a month had passed since Anika left.
He opened the door and entered. The room was dark and depressing
He turned on the light. Her room was utterly empty, and she left nothing personal behind.
Then he sat down and opened the bedside table. There was a notebook inside. There was only one sentence in the notebook.
"I think the person who chooses to leave is the one who suffers the most because she has already gone through countless struggles deep down before finally making up her mind.
He looked at her delicate handwriting and sneered, "Suffer?
"Have I not suffered all these years with you?"
He threw the notebook into the trash
Before he left the room, he put the notebook right back on the bedside table.
After he left her room, he never slept that night.
Trent didn't sleep well either.
He felt that something was wrong with Anika these days, but he didn't know what it was
about.
At around four o'clock in the morning, he received Clare's call.
"Trent,can you go see Anika for me?I had a strange dream."
Trent sat up."What was it?"
"I dreamed that something happened to Anika. She came to me covered in rain and asked
me not to forget to pick her up home."
As Clare said this, her tears rolled down involuntarily."I'm afraid something has happened
to her.I called her, but no one answered.

Chapter 15
"A few days ago,she told me to pick her up on the 15th.
"Something isn't right..."
Hearing Clare's words, Trent thought of Anika's behavior these days, and he hurriedly put on
his clothes.
"Don't worry.I'll go to her now."
His place was not far away from Anika's.
Ten minutes later, Trent arrived at Anika's place. He pushed the door open, and it was utterly
quiet inside.
Anika's bedroom door was open. The room was empty.
She wasn't inside.
Where could she go at this time?
There were two envelopes beside the pillow. Trent picked them up and opened them, and
then he realized that they were two wills.
One of them was for him.
"Trent,I've already transferred the rent to your card.
Thank you for taking care of me these days.
"You know,I haven't had any friends since I came to Oasisville.I always thought that it was
because of me that I didn't have any friends. And then I met you again.
"I'm so glad that I met you again. You showed me that I wasn't so bad after all. I'm so
grateful to you... Please don't be sad.I just went to see my dad. He'll take care of me."
