"Anika was dead."
Violet was stunned.
Immediately she asked with astonishment, "When?Why was it so sudden?"
Though she sounded like she found it unbelievable,deep down in her heart, she felt an Unprecedented thrill.
Anika died!
It meant that the last barrier between her and Joshua was gone.
*She died today from massive blood loss."
Valentin took the glass and slightly shook it. Then, he gulped down the red wine in it.
As he was drinking he noticed a trace of happiness flashing across Violet's face through the glass.
"Perhaps this is her fate, Violet sighed." She was born to live a life others can't live in a lifetime. Then, she married Joshua by force with her family power. Death is her karma.
Karma?
Valentin found Violet horrible from her words for the first time.
Was it Anika's fault to born a rich lady?
And he knew that Joshua married Anika for business purposes.
After all, no one could force Joshua to do what he didn't want to do
But why did Violet think of these facts as the reasons for Anika's death?

Valentin didn't say anything. The temperature in the room seemed to have dropped.
Violet realized that she said improper words and immediately corrected herself. "Valentin, you know that I was just talking about Anika.
She's way too scheming."
Valentin hummed in reply and got himself another cup of wine.
He carefully thought back about Anika's schemes.
Every time,it was Violet who told him that Anika was scheming!
However, he didn't see any of the so-called schemes with his own eyes.
Perhaps, the only scheme he knew about was that Anika was in deep love with Joshua and
spared no effort to flatter everyone around Joshua including him.
How could it be called a scheme?
The wine in his mouth became tasteless for no reason.
Valentin trusted Violet for four years, so he didn't feel that she would lie to him.
How could someone who risked her life to save him be a bad person?
His voice became somewhat hoarse when he spoke again."Violet, I've been dreaming about
the past when you saved me.
"In my dream,you told me not to be afraid and that everything would be okay.
"It was because of you that I survived.
"Do you still remember that?"
