Darling, Please Love Me Again! ( Gisele Meyer ) Novel

Chapter 9

Chapter 9

Chapter 9

Dorian pressed his l*ps against Gisele’s as his warm hands caressed her smooth skin.

At first, he was gripped by an inexplicable wave of anger and wanted to teach her a lesson. But soon, he found himself indulging in the k*ss

Gisele stayed submissive as she stared at him. He was so close to her now. She could even feel his warm breath on her face.

She found it funny somehow. This was the first time Dorian had k*ssed her in the past three years. It was an aggressive one, and it was addictive, making her sink deeper and deeper into

“Does your boyfriend k*ss you like this?” Dorian let go of her.

The tips of their noses touched as he stared at her, the bashful look on her face reflecting in his piercing eyes.

Gisele’s m*uth was slightly open. She stared at the reflection of herself in his eyes without much of an expression.

He had humiliated her so, but her body had still reacted to him. It made her feel ashamed. 1

The air in the cramped space of the car grew hotter steadily. Dorian suddenly had the urge to

be bawdy.

His fingers lightly brushed Gisele’s skin. His touch was a little cold, making goosebumps pop up all over her body.

Resistance was written all over her face.

“What? Are you keeping your virginity for your boyfriend?” A shadow fell across Dorian’s face as his eyes darkened considerably, and he grabbed her by the neck.

Gisele smiled bitterly at him. She didn’t have a boyfriend.

Still, she put on a determined look as she raised her eyes to look at him. The last traces of a blush vanished from her face as she forced herself to say, “Yes. You did that for Ms. McMillan. So why can’t I?”

She didn’t know if Dorian was mad at her for saying that or if he was angry simply because he thought she had cheated on him. He started k*ssing her over and over again.

Disgusted by his actions, Gisele raised her hand to slap him across the face.

The slap broke the warm and humid atmosphere in the car, making Dorian stop what he had been doing.

His eyes were bloodshot when he stared at her. The ch*ek that had suffered the blow was starting to swell. The slap had left a huge and clear mark on his dashing face. The air in the car turned as cold as ice.

It was so chilling that Gisele got goosebumps all over again. She regretted acting so rashly and slapping him, but it was too late now.

After mustering her courage, she shot him a determined look

“I’ll pretend like nothing ever happened today. If something like this happens again, I don’t mind letting Ms. McMillan stand and watch from aside as we do the deed.”

The slap had been so strong that the inside of Dorian’s ch*ek was bleeding. The pungent taste of blood filled his m*uth as he carelessly licked the bleeding wound with his tongue.

He rested his arms back on the steering wheel and snickered.

“Call Bernard and tell him to terminate the contract. Also, tell him to make Sierra the main guest of the show,” he said.

“If you do it, I’ll take it as you paying for that slap. I’ll let Meyer Group live too.”

Dorian was threatening Gisele by bringing up Meyer Group. Inwardly, she laughed at herself

for it.

He was aware of what was most important to her.

The air was suffocatingly tense as the two of them stared at each other. Neither Gisele nor Dorian were going to give in.

Just then, Gisele’s phone started ringing. She thought of rejecting the call as she took her phone out, but she saw that Peter was the one calling.

Noticing this, Dorian snat ched the phone from her grasp. He answered the call and put it on speaker mode.

“Gisele! What the heck do you think you’re doing?” Peter’s frustrated voice sounded from the phone.

Gisele glanced at Dorian. She knew what he had done when she saw the smile on his l*ps. He had put her family under pressure.

“It’s fine if you can’t make Mr. Jefferson happy, but why did you pi ss him off?” Peter yelled.

“Why do I have such an ignorant fool for a daughter? You must have had so much fun in your life that you’ve gotten ahead of yourself!”

Peter couldn’t stop ranting. He kept reprimanding her for doing something wrong.

“Are you even listening to me? We’ll go bankrupt if we can’t ship out that batch of goods!”

he roared.

“Gisele, you owe this family everything that you have today. Do you really think you can retain your position as Mr. Jefferson’s wife if our family goes bankrupt?”

Gisele didn’t have the chance to speak since Dorian had answered the call. She pursed her l*ps as she tried to push away whatever was stuck in her throat.

Her chest felt tight, and it made her feel suffocated. Was it because she wasn’t loved by anyone at all? 1

Even Peter scolded her without even knowing the truth.

“Okay,” she muttered. She finally managed to force a word out of her m*uth after keeping her emotions bottled up for so long.

After hanging up, she

put on a smile and said, “You did it, Dorian.”

She took her phone back from him, opened her contacts, and called Bernard.

Dorian simply watched her with one hand on the steering wheel. The curve of a smile on the corner of her l*ps was like a hundred needles piercing through his heart.

It hurt, but it didn’t show on his face.

“Mr. Murray, I’m sorry to tell you that I want to terminate the contract,” Gisele said slowly and clearly as she looked Dorian right in the eye.

Bernand assumed that she had come across a problem. He hadn’t expected her to call and tell him that she wanted the contract terminated.

“Why? Is it because it doesn’t match up with your schedule?” he asked. “We can adjust the time and date for the recording, though. Just tell me what’s troubling you. We can settle it together.”

Bernard wasn’t going to give up so easily. This was Gigi Toby Fluff they were talking about!

She was his idol!

Besides, he would rather break the contract with Dorian and compensate for it than let Gisele go just like that.

He truly wanted a humble doctor like her who was full of potential to be known to the public.

Gisele smiled wryly. Despite that, she sounded relaxed when she spoke to him.

“It’s nothing. I’m just too busy these days,” she said. “I’m sorry for taking your time.

There’s this young woman who’s just returned from abroad.”

She continued, “Her name’s Sierra McMillan. She’s the perfect person for the job. I suggest making her a permanent guest on your show.”

Her tone was light, but her words stabbed at her heart repeatedly.

“Huh? Are you serious?” Bernard couldn’t get his head around it.

Gisele kept her eyes on Dorian the entire time. She said firmly, “Yes. Ms. McMillan is extraordinary. She’s a role model for someone like me.”

“Okay, then. I’ll send you the papers for the termination of the contract via email later on.” Bernard finally gave in. “You don’t have to pay the fee for breaking the contract.‘

He added a tad shyly, “Though, I’d be really glad if you could show up for the show when you’re free.”

Gisele was relieved to know that she didn’t have to pay the termination fee. “Thank you,

she said.

After hanging up, she recomposed herself. In a business–like tone, she asked Dorian, “Are you happy? Can I leave now?”

Instead of waiting for him to reply, she reached for the handle to open the door. However, the car started moving at high speed, so she could only shut the door.

As he drove, Dorian felt angry for no apparent reason. Gisele had finally agreed to terminate the contract, but why wasn’t he happy? 1

Instead of feeling glad that she had done so, his mood turned foul.

He ran through red lights several times. He drove so recklessly that Gisele felt nauseous. She was on the verge of puking when the car came to a halt.

Gisele opened the door and stumbled out of the car. Her face was already pale, but it turned even paler when she saw the towering shadow of Jefferson Manor looming before her.

She froze on the spot.

After getting out of the car, Dorian grabbed her by the arm and dragged her into the manor.

The hall was empty. Gisele’s gaze fell on a spot on the stairs.

That was where she had landed when she fell from the second floor and lost her child.

She stared at the spot, her eyes turning bloodshot. The spot had already been scrubbed clean long ago, but she could still feel the pain in her abdomen.

With her body bent over a little, she trembled ever so slightly that it was unnoticeable, and she subconsciously wrapped her arms around herself.
