Dark Moon (ManxMan)

Colson was a man of many attributes but patience isn't one of them. He, Aetos, Erik and Cobie have decided to have a fun night out in town. There was a showing of Shazam and Colson just wants to see it. Fuck Baba, fuck Michel, fuck any other supernatural creature that wants to scare the life out of him.

Colson looks up when he hears Cobie and Erik approach, laughter trilling out of his mouth when he sees Erik wearing a beware of the hulk shirt.

"Cobie made you wear that, didn't he?" Colson asked as he stayed where he was, firmly at Aetos' side. The vampire looked incredible in a blood red chiffon shirt and dark jeans, his hair product free and soft- falling into his eyes. Those grey eyes.

"I didn't make him do anything. I just handed him a shirt and he wore it." Cobie said with a shrug, his face so innocent but Colson knew better.

"You forgot to add the part when you cried cause I didn't take the shirt from you fast enough." Erik gave Cobie a comical stare, shifting closer to his mate. Any more closer and they'd be pressed against each other like glued paper. Now that, Colson could be live. He made his way over to his brother and pulled him in for a tight hug. "How's little Colson?"

"Still not naming the baby after you but the baby's good." Cobie said, running his hand over the red jumper covering his tummy.

"Halloween is in two days." Colson grins. "Is it bad I want to go trick or treating?"

"Of course not. I want to go with you too. We haven't gone since we were nine."

Aetos who had remained quiet made his way to them and offers Cobie a smile. "If we keep standing here, we're going to miss the movie."

"Fine. Lets go."

Erik pressed his nose to Cobie's neck, his hands going around his mate's waist and Colson just watched them. Even after six months they still acted like they had just met each other for the first time. He smiles softly as Erik laced their hands together as he pulls back from Cobie's neck and... weren't they just the cutest.

"You're staring."

"It's my eyes, let me look plus it's not my fault they're too cute." Colson replied, turning to playfully glare at Aetos. "Are you sure Pytor is okay? I haven't seen him since yesterday?"

"He's fine. He's checking up on one of the dark houses."

Colson really wanted to speak to Pytor. He was meant to have come along for this late night streaming of Shazam but the man had belted out excuses over the phone. It felt like he was avoiding Colson. "Hey."

Colson looks up at Aetos. "It feels like it's my fault."

"It's not yours and it's not his either. I have told you both this." Aetos said. "None of you knew that was going to happen. He just needs to calm down, he'll come to you. And as much as it pains me, you two are friends..." "Woah woah! Slow down there." Colson laughed, his palms up. "Who said we were friends?"

Aetos rolled his eyes at this and just walked past Colson, both hands going into the pocket of his jeans and damn, those legs. Colson cackled as he jogged up to Aetos, poking him in the sides as they went. "You're a pest." Aetos shook his head.

Colson grinned at the vampire. "But I'm the prettiest pest in all the land."

"You're more of a-"

"Don't finish that sentence, Aetos. You might regret it." Cobie calls out from where he was, a few steps away from them, his fingers laced with Erik.

Colson sticks a tongue out at his brother. But Cobie was right, if Aetos had said anything less than appealing, Colson would have made the rest of the week a living hell.

The my decided to walk to the cinema. It was not that dad really. Ten by car, twenty of you walk. Colson and Cobie have never been comfortable in cars for different reasons. Colson had always been on the move, the car constricting, no leg movements, no sleeping well, and so much more but Cobie's was because he had been tied up, drugged and thrown, into a car and to top it off he had been blindfolded. He said they moved him every other day and fuck, if Erik hadn't ripped their father to shreds, Colson would have done it with bullets or his hands.

"What are you thinking about now?"

"Same thing I do every night." Colson teases. "Plan my world domination."

"I don't even want to imagine it." Aetos shakes his head for the second time that night.

"Well, tough. It's going to happen." Colson pours, picking up his footsteps and walking away from Aetos as fast as he could. The vampire sped forward, wrapped his arms around Colson's waist and spun him around.

Colson kicks but Aetos held him like he was as light as a pillow. He laughs out loud, Cobie and Erik stopping to stare at the both of them, a fond look on their faces.

"Put me down, daywalker!"

"Say please." The vampire teased.

"Put me down."

"I can easily carry you to the cinema like this." Aetos said and Colson sighs.

"Lord Aetos Amaya, would you please put me down?" Colson asked, voice saccharine. Immediately he was standing on his two feet, he quickly reached out and squeezed Aetos' nipple, cackling when the vampire let out a pained groan. "Even I knew that was coming." Erik said, rolling his eyes at his friend. Though the pain was fleeting, it had still been painful. Just because they could heal, doesn't mean they couldn't feel pain.

"Alright you two! We're almost there, I just want to sit, eat and watch a movie. Keep all this... foreplay to your private tome or some shit and lets get a move on."

Colson's jaw drops, his cheeks tinted pink as he stared at his brother like he had been betrayed in the worst way possible. Both Erik and Aetos were cackling loudly, Cobie just raised a brow at his brother, his brother pursed. "You know what? Fuck you, fuck all of you." Colson raised both middle fingers before turning to walk off. However, in the next minute he was lifted and tossed over Aetos' shoulder.

"No need to get testy."

"Yeah well, suck my dick, brother."

"I would never take Aetos' job." Cobie replied, throwing a wink at his brother before pulling Erik closer. Colson doesn't say any other thing, he thought about farting in Aetos' nose but Cobie was going to hold it over him for so many years. Each stride Aetos took brought out the shape of his ass in those pants. And who was Colson to look away. It took a lot to embarrass Colson and him showing up at the cinema thrown over the shoulder of a gorgeous vampire was not it. Once they were in, Aetos places Colson back on the ground. He purses his lips and looks away from Aetos who was just smirking. Erik orders for both himself and Cobie. Two large buckets of popcorn, tacos, ice cream, licorice- the black one- and two bottle water. Aetos orders the same for both himself and Colson sans the tacos.

"You still aren't going to talk to me?" Aetos asked as they walked towards the right showing room. Cobie and Erik day a few rows ahead of them while Colson and Aetos sat at the back.

Colson doesn't reply the vampire, instead he takes a handful of popcorn and popped it into his mouth, chewing as loudly as he could.

"How about when if I give you this?" Aetos pulls out a small pack of gummy bears. Colson almost lunges himself at Aetos but held himself back. The vampire chuckle and pulls out another small bag of gummy bears. "Just how many do you have?"

"I'll tell you if you talk to me again."

Colson rolled his eyes again. "I am already talking to you." Colson huffed as he grabbed the two bags of gummy bears. Aetos pulls out two more bags and hands it to Colson who just grins like he won the lottery.

The movie, Shazam, was not Colson's favorite movie. Hell, it was so bad Erik punched in a door in the bathroom when he claimed he wanted to wash his hand. Cobie seemed to have known it was coming. Was that why he wore the hulk shirt?

"He does this all the time?"

"He was alright with Infinty war..." Aetos said.

"He was pissed off with the new Spider-Man movie though..." Cobie said. "He kept saying Toby was the better spider man."

"He is but this Holland pixie guy is..."

"Let's not make the angry wolf even angrier." Cobie said, humming patiently as he waited for Erik to walk out of the bathroom. Colson was still chuckling. Erik had so many weird habits, Colson had learnt. Erik walked out of the bathroom, right as rain. The only thing that showed he was upset were his glowing red eyes and claws.

"You done, peaches?"

They were so mushy and fluffy that it almost gave Colson a cavity. Once Cobie wraps his arms around Erik's arm, the red eyes dimmed and his claws were pushed back in. "Sorry about that."

Cobie laughs and leaned up to press a kiss to Erik's cheek, nuzzling his nose in the man cheek, right above his beard. "You don't scare me. Never have and never will." "Can we just get something to eat?" Erik asked as he turns to press a kiss to Cobie's hair.

"Pizza okay with you?"

"Good. How about you two?" Erik asked Colson and Aetos. Aetos shrugged and Colson gives them both thumbs up.

No one was really looking at the four of them. It's not like there were a lot of people out at this time any way. There was a loud rumble outside and there's a certain smell in the air.

"Is it going to rain?" Colson asked, the closer they got to the doors.

"I'm not sure."

"Let's just go and get pizza." Cobie said, his lips pulled into a pout. They all step out, the winds were... huh, there were no winds. Everything was still. Something was wrong and Colson could taste it. He moved closer to Aetos who wraps his arm around Colson's shoulder.

Colson's eyes darted around, something was wrong but he just couldn't see it. There was another flash of lightning and Colson stops.

"Colly?"

Colson doesn't look away from Aetos. There was something beside the vampire. Something they couldn't see without the flash of lightning. There was a bright flash and he catches a peek. "Colson?" This time it was Aetos saying his name.

There was another flash and that's when he sees it again. Like a shadow, only it was laying flat on the wall or on the ground, it was the same build as Aetos. It wasn't a person.

"Am I the only one who is seeing this?" Colson turns around to ask and almost screams when he sees the same shadow like figure standing beside Cobie.

"Colson, what is it? What do you see?"

There's a cold feeling, creeping down Colson's back. He feels the same creeping fear he feels when he thinks about Michel. Was he here? What the fuck was going on exactly?

The next time lightening strikes, Cobie's eyes widened and his jaw drops. He sees it. They all had shadows standing beside them, besides Erik was a smaller shadow, like that of a child. "What is going on?"

"Cobie what's happening? Your heart is going crazy!"

"Can't you see them too! They're here!" Cobie screams, one hand falling to his stomach. Colson was scared too. They all had shadows. Colson couldn't hold it back anymore and just started running. The urgency to get to somewhere safe growing inside him. He was shaking, he was scared.

He lets out a loud cry, tears slipping down his face as he was carried. He knew it was Aetos by the smell and the feel of the body. Colson couldn't understand why he was this scared, he was crying and shaky, his hands going around Aetos neck as he clings on.

He doesn't notice when Aetos got to the house until he was lying on the bed. He realized he wasn't at the pack house and he needed to be at the pack house, he needed to be close to Cobie, to make sure hat shadow thing hadn't gotten to him yet. He couldn't believe he just ran away like that.

"Baby, you need to breathe." Aetos voice flit through the amounts of thoughts in Colson's head. Breathe. Wasn't he breathing? Was that way his chest was burning?

What were those things exactly and why were they standing so close to everyone? How come no one could see it until lightening struck? How come only he and Cobie could see it? "Co-cob-"

"You want Cobie?" Aetos asked as Colson struggled to breathe. The vampire didn't wait for confirmation, he just slips a hand under Colson's knees and the other around his back and ran.

Aetos ran as fast as he could, appearing in front of Erik's door. He kicks the door open and headed right for the bed where Cobie was lying, shaking a bit as he held onto Erik. Immediately Colson got on the bed, the two brothers moved towards each other. Through the fear maze constructing itself in Colson's head, he could hear Aetos and Erik talk.

"Something is wrong."

"They both saw something." Aetos said, looking away from Erik to Colsom who had thankfully stopped shaking and so had Cobie. "Whatever it was, was so bad it scared them." "Should I get Toby to come over? He could purify our borders again. It's been months since he did it and it's a bit weaker now, maybe a couple things slipped in." "Are you sure you checked the witches you let into Astir?" Aetos asked the Alpha. The Alpha ran his fingers through his hair.

"I double checked and they all dipped their hands into bowl of Addonexus blood. Cobie made all of them do it." Erik replied, his eyes glowing red as he tries to calm himself. "So what could be the problem? Can someone gets past the barrier?" Aetos asked.

"You know how it is if someone bad does come through. The barrier goes dark and it looks like it's about to rain."

Colson and Cobie were calm, no more shaking, no more crying, their heart beats had leveled out. Cobie was the first to sit up, his eyes a swirl of yellow and black, one hand on his tummy like he was protecting it. "You okay?" Erik asked as he moved closer to his mate, running a hand through Cobie's hair.

"A little." Cobie replied, pulling his hand away from where it was resting in Colson's arm to Erik's in a soothing manner.

"How about you?" Aetos asked as he moves to take Colson's hand in his. Colson could never understand why Aetos always felt safe to him. He didn't know what about Aetos drew him closer. "Shaken."

"It's alright. We're here." Aetos said, moving closer to Colson. "Can you tell us what spooked you both?"

"Our shadows." Colson whispers but everyone hears it.

"They weren't on the floor, they were standing right beside us like they were human, they were practically our height, except Erik." Cobie explains. "Yours was small, like that of a child."

Erik stills and so did Aetos.

"It felt wrong. I felt the same fear I did and do whenever I think about that day i was hit in the woods." Colson said, his voice small as he shifts towards Aetos.

"Do you think it's the same thing? How come we couldn't see it?" Erik asked, referring to himself and the vampire.

Colson shook his head. Michel hadn't been with them and well, he couldn't actually know if the Beta had followed them the entire night. All he knew was he got that cold feeling from the shadows standing beside them. "Astir isn't safe anymore." Cobie whisper, his face tucked into Erik's chest.

"Astir is safe, we just need to find the dumbass who is trying to blow everything to shit." Colson spits. He wishes he could get up and punch Michel so hard his nose breaks. He wishes he could tell them who exactly they should suspect but he couldn't.

"I'll bring in Toby tomorrow and talk to the pack warriors, I think this might involve this Baba character we've been hearing about. Three people have died and these strange shadows are popping up. He needs to be found and dealt with." "Halloween is a couple hours away. Can we let Astirians go about with Baba in the loose? We don't even know what he's capable of." Cobie said. Erik ran his fingers through Cobie's hair, the Luna nodding every now and then. Colson rolled his eyes at the two, they tended to talk telepathically halfway through a discussion. It was an habit Colson was starting to dislike.

He gets up from the bed with a little help from Aetos. He tells Cobie and Erik good night, nodding when the Alpha calls for a meeting tomorrow. Aetos silently follows Colson back to his old room, shutting the door close behind him once head "Are you really okay?"

"Getting there." Colson replied honestly. He didn't like the room anymore, it was still the same as he left it. What he didn't like was the time he spent with Michel here and being called a used condom. He just needed to forget tonight had happened. Maybe not the entire night but at least the events of the last thirty minutes.

"Will you mind if I ask you to cuddle me?" Colson asked and Aetos nods. Colson smiles softly at the vampire before walking over to the closet, he takes out one of his onesies with the ears and pulled off his shirt. He turns around and finds Aetos seating on the bed, his eyes closed and hands clenching the sheets.

Colson quickly pulls off his clothes and pulls on the onsje, once he was done he made his way back to Aetos.

"Hey..."

"Hey..." Aetos replied.

Colson takes the vampire's hand in his and pressed it to his chest. "See, I'm good." Colson said, his fingers trailing the skin of Aetos' cheek. "Let's sleep and deal with all this shit tomorrow okay?"

"Okay."

Colson's fingers find the buttons on Aetos' shirt, he buttons the shirt and slides them off the vampires body. Aetos takes off his jeans himself. Colson crawls into bed, his head resting on Aetos' chest, hand thrown over his waist. The lights were off and the curtains drawn and in that darkness, Aetos promises.

"Nothing is going to happen to you. You're safe. I will keep you safe."
