Chapter 19 - WHAT IF?
"You know that dress calls for a thousand bodyguards because everyone's eyes are going to be on you," Kai's voice startled me, I gasped, looking back to where he sat confidently on the couch after spilling whatever that was, his gaze was
fixed on me.
"Where have you been?" I asked, my gaze shifted to Michael, holding his a tab.
"I'm sorry, I had to make a few calls," He replied, getting up. I swallowed, and my heart sank as he approached me.
His brows pressed together. He took a deep breath, but I held my breath, waiting for what he was about to say.
"Well, how do I look?" I gulped, hoping for something men would say.
"Turn around," He intoned. I raised my brows and opened my mouth to speak, but he cut me off before I could. "I said, turn around, Tiffany,"
I swear if he calls my name with such a tone next time. I might not hold myself. I took a deep breath and obeyed.
He walked further, maintaining eye contact with me, "Here, let me help you," He said hotly, my blood gushing.
Kai kept his gaze on me, while he tied the rope from behind. I was stiffened, and my chest heaved.
"There," he said, carefully. "I don't think there's any gown that ever looked terrible on you." My head shifted, and every sleeping nerve jolted when his hands craned my arms. "This is different, open. Accessible," I watched him crane his fingers to my shoulders.
I gasped quietly, holding my breath. His other hand slid my waist, the sensation of his fingers against my bare skin sent shivers down my spine. "Alluring," the mouthed.
His lips curled into a sly smirk as he came to a sudden halt. "A diamond necklace would be suitable."
He withdrew his hands from my body and returned to his seat. I glanced at the woman nearby, attempting to steady my racing heart and catch my breath before releasing a sigh of relief.
I walked gently to the ladies, "I'll take this," I whispered. He nodded, and I followed her to the dressing room.
After Kai finished shopping at the mall, we left and started our journey back home. Later, we prepared to head out to the club. I was excited for the evening ahead. Not only was I looking forward to experiencing a new club, but I was also thrilled at the prospect of dancing with Kai, something we hadn't done since we got married.
Noami's message came in. I quickly opened it, checking the content.
Noami: How is it going? Any progress?
Me: We haven't arrived yet. And I think he isn't gay."
Noami: He loved the dress?
Me: He didn't say but he did say a diamond necklace would fit.
Noami: So, are you wearing one now?
Me: Yes.
Noami's last message consisted of several dramatic emoji. I exhaled, pushing my phone in my shiny white purse.
"Sir, we are here," Michael said. I looked around, and the club was way more than I imagined.
I blinked countlessly to be sure I was in the right area, and it was F8. This is a goddamn VVIP club. It was luxurious, I thinned my brows, biting my lower lips. It suddenly sank to me that it was bound to happen after listening to two girls sitting at a luxurious, fancy restaurant, I exhaled frustrated.
The door opened, and Kai held his hands out for me. "Don't you want to come down?"
"Oh," I released my lower lips, looming around. My eyes caught Michael's gaze from the rearview mirror again. I took Kai's hands, getting down.
Although it was a VVIP Club. I didn't expect to walk on so smoothly. Before entering I spotted Kai's men at the entrance, I have to say that was the smoothest way I have ever entered a club. As soon as I entered, the music elevated my spirit, and my hips could already sway to the music.
I moved my head to and fro, dancing to the dance floor where I found a man performing and the crowd was bursting with so much energy.
"I told you, you would love it!" I yelled back at Kai, and he looked unimpressed. I turned around, dancing with a smile on my face.
I didn't know what song was playing. But it was catchy, and if Noami had been here we would have been up front. I looked around after minutes, and I couldn't find Kai anywhere. I shrugged and turned back to continue dancing. Three girls danced towards me, swaying their hips, and moving closer with a big smile on their faces. The blonde one winked at me, and I blushed. Hell, she was pretty.
"Are you here with a man?" She stared at my diamond ring on my finger. I opened my mouth to speak, but I couldn't come up with something to say.
"Here," she sneaked a cigarette into my palms and kissed my cheek. I darted at the cigarette and the blond, her smile widened.
"Oh my!!!" The dark-haired screamed, and I looked at her and followed her eye direction to find strippers on stage. My body movement slowed, and I felt a hand crane my waist. I inhaled, but unfortunately, the scent wasn't regular. I looked back at the tall figure hovering over me.
He was tall and fair-skinned, but the lights made it difficult to tell exactly the colors of his skin. I took a step backward, jumping away from his body.
"What!" I gasped. I frowned and aimed for his cheek, slapping him. He groaned and glared at me.
I darted around. No one was paying attention, their attention poured on the strippers. Suddenly, Kai stepped between us, facing the guy.
"Is something wrong?"
"Who are" He opened his mouth to speak, but two men held his hands over their shoulder, he suddenly looked lifeless, and quietly and gently, they escorted him out of the club.
Kai pushed his hands into his pocket. And our eyes gazed at the cigarette in my hands.
"Are you okay?" He questioned. I nodded in reply.
Kai's eyes dimmed, trailing down my body. I blinked away, exhaling slowly. I turned around and looked at the ladies who were with me, they had danced away. I tossed the cigarette on the floor, holding my arms, unable to speak.

I froze, holding every breath in me as shivers seared through me. I'm looking around the club and everyone has a two or more dance partner. "Thank you," I said.
"There's no need for that. You're my wife, remember?" He says, causing my heart to twitch and heat to rush through me. I smile at him. "Yeah, I remember," I said through my gritted teeth.
The lighting changed. I looked around, and soon after the music changed to a slower rhythm.
"Do you want to dance?" Kai asks, stretching his hands to me. I giggle, looking at him. He seemed to have drunk a little, he as well looks flushed.
"Can you dance?" I tease, laughing. Kai raises a brow, walks towards me, and pulls me closer to his body. I gulp, holding my breath instantly. My lips are millimetres away from his and my heart is pounding as crazy.
I focused my attention on the strippers, forcing my legs to take slower breaths. But his body burnt so hot against mine. All I could feel was his body pressing against mine.
"Teach me," He whispers. I blinked, and my eyes left the strippers to his eyes, the urge to take a look at his lips took hold of me and my gaze dropped to his plum-juicy lips, and I swallowed.
His dark hair is wavy and flows down his shoulders, and his jawline is shaped like an artwork. I could feel his chest and they felt fucking amazing on mine. Slowly, I roll my hips in time to the beat, smiling faintly, intimidated by those glares that softened with something I couldn't pinpoint.
"I told you this gown could cause stares," His voice is soft. I can feel his arms, trailing my skin. My legs had betrayed me, and my little heartbeat down there had refused to stop pounding. Kai inhales as if he is inhaling me, and his eyes close briefly. I crane my hands up to his neck, and I hear a small hiss, "Tiffany," he calls in a lazy voice.
Kai bent down, his mouth millimeters from my ear. "What if?"
Heat spreads through my body, and I love how his words make me react. He looks over my shoulder, tongue flicking out to wet his bottom lip, blue eyes glossy, staring up at me. "What if. What if I want to see you strip for me," Kai said against my lips.
