Chapter 157 Cut All Ties
Kerwin’s brows furrowed.
Conceding so soon? Is she going to let them go? That was not his style of doing things.
His aim was to crush the Watson family and let them struggle in poverty. They would not learn tolerance unless they were
pushed to
the wall.
In an inquiring way, he looked down at Betty and fumed at the sight of her red eyes.
“Betty, they’re mean to you. Are you sure you want to let them go?”
Betty had her own thoughts. She didn’t
forgive them. She just gave up on them.
It was not that she didn’t want to take
revenge. Then what? As long as she was still
a member of the Watson family, she would be entangled with them. She was fed up.
Her eyes on Daisy and Roger, Betty plucked up the courage and said, “Yeah, I want to let
them go.”
“Why?” Kerwin asked in disbelief.

All these years, the Watsons had been meaning to her. Even their nanny despised
her.
With a poker face, Betty scoffed, “Family? In your mind, you are kind to me, and I should repay you. Is kinship valued in this
way? I don’t get it. As I see it, I only owe Roger half
of my gene.”

“Betty... You...” Roger felt guilty.
Betty shed tears. She couldn’t help it.
Any other girl was the apple of her father’s eye and doted on like a princess. What about Roger? He was timid in front of Daisy,
conniving, and indifferent to her.

Betty’s heart was filled with contradictions and bitterness. Who could understand her?
She wiped her tears and said, “Today, I beg Kerwin to let you go. See it as my payback. Starting today, I’ll cut all ties with the
Watson family. That’s what you want, isn’t it? We’ll no longer be related, and I hope you’ll stop bothering my mother and me.”
At the end of the day, Betty was his daughter. Roger didn’t want to break off with her, especially after learning about her
marriage.

Kerwin took her cold hand in his and glared at them once again. “For Betty’s sake, I’ll let you go. There won’t be next time.”
The hearts of Daisy and Roger trembled. They didn’t dare to move or utter any sound.
Daisy said in a flattering manner, “We won’t bother you again, I promise. Neither will
Emily.”
“You’d better be.” Kerwin sneered, “Or, it
won’t be just your business that gets seized!”
Daisy and Roger felt weak and dizzy.
Without another look at them, Kerwin led
Betty to get out of the house.
